Chapter 17: Chaotic
Chapter 17: Chaotic
"What, you dare?" Bella asked.
Victor’s aura was perfectly concealed thanks to the Diamond Skeleton. As long as he didn’t release it, no one could tell that he had already stepped into the Xiantian Realm.
To others, he still appeared to be in the Mortal Realm, merely accumulating Spiritual Energy.
In that context, it was only natural for him to avoid fighting Bella—and she clearly intended to use that to intimidate him.
"What are you putting on the line?" Victor asked in response.
"What do you mean?" Bella frowned, confused.
"What’s the point of a fight without stakes? I’m willing to bet my life. I won’t ask the same of you, but at least offer something of equal value," Victor said calmly.
No one expected such a demand.
Was he actually confident?
"You...?" Bella pointed at him, her hand trembling.
"I-if you win, I won’t reject you..." she said, her voice tinged with embarrassment.
That was the only thing she could offer to match someone wagering his life.
"Aren’t you already mine?" Victor replied with a strange smile.
"What? Who are you calling yours? Do you think I accept this nonsense?" Bella snapped.
Her body began to crackle with lightning—pale blue, the same color as her hair.
Victor didn’t recognize it. It was neither an innate lightning nor a Heavenly Lightning.
Yet the pressure it emitted was no weaker—if anything, it carried a certain noble majesty.
Still, Victor remained unfazed.
One Will Power alone was enough to guarantee his victory.
Even if, by some chance, she also possessed one, his physical strength would still suppress her.
He simply didn’t believe he could lose.
"It seems you have nothing else to offer," Victor said coldly.
"Just fight if you dare!" Bella shot back.
"Fine... Don’t cry when you get hurt."
BOOM!
Victor’s aura finally erupted.
Golden lightning and black lightning intertwined around him.
The golden lightning didn’t shock anyone—he had already used the sect’s Heavenly Lightning Spirit, a once-in-an-era treasure.
But the black lightning...
Even the Sect Master’s eyes widened.
"That’s... Heavenly Destruction Lightning..." someone muttered.
"Damn, where did he get it? Don’t tell me it belonged to Senior Lukas? That thing is extremely rare—there shouldn’t be two on the same continent!"
"Didn’t Senior Lukas just leave with him earlier?"
"..."
Whoosh!
Victor shot forward.
He didn’t bother with techniques—he simply reinforced his already powerful body with lightning.
His speed skyrocketed.
Bella could barely track him.
"Damn it!"
She swung her spear wildly, releasing a vast sea of lightning.
It chased its target automatically—but to Victor, it was easy to evade.
In an instant, he appeared behind her.
She had power—but lacked the skill to use it properly.
Without hesitation, Victor struck her small back.
BANG!
She was sent flying, crashing into the stage and shattering it.
No one expected such brutality.
After all, striking a beautiful girl—especially one so young—was not something most could do.
But this boy...
He showed no mercy at all.
Bella lay amid the ruins, disheveled.
Her eyes welled with tears—not from pain, but humiliation.
She quickly stood up.
Rage burned within her—not only toward Victor, but also toward the Sect Master and the elders who dared treat her this way.
If not for their arrangement, none of this would have happened.
"I will punish all of you," she said.
RUMBLE—
Suddenly, every island released the lightning stored within them.
It gathered in the sky, forming a furious lightning dragon.
"W-what is that?"
Even senior disciples were terrified.
The sheer amount of lightning—and its violent rumble—made their hearts feel like they would shatter.
"Is that... the sect’s power?" a young elder whispered.
"Yes... the sect’s core power. Only the Grand Ancestor should be able to control it."
"Then why is it responding to her?"
"..."
All eyes turned to Bella.
Upon closer observation, a special aura surrounded her—one that seemed connected to the entire sect.
That aura was controlling everything.
"She... she can control the sect’s power?!"
"That’s impossible! Her father’s era ended long ago! The sect has changed completely since then—two World Monarchs even reconstructed it!"
"Miss, please calm down!" the Sect Master shouted in panic.
"No. All of you must be punished!"
"Young Master, we must leave—or we’ll die!" Emma grabbed Victor’s hand.
In the next instant, something pulled them.
They vanished.
"Teleportation..." an elder muttered.
Bella didn’t care.
Her fury was now fully directed at the Sect Master and the elders.
Before anyone could react—
ROAR!
The lightning dragon descended.
At the final moment, a white-haired old man appeared, his aura unmatched.
He raised his hand, stopping the dragon.
—
Victor reappeared on a beach.
The shores of the Ancient Blood Continent.
From here, the islands of the Heavenly Lightning Sect were barely visible—but now, he could clearly see the massive lightning dragon plunging downward.
A gigantic lightning palm rose to meet it.
The two forces clashed.
Then—
BOOM!!!
They exploded into blinding light, swallowing everything—including the very beach Victor stood on.
His eyes burned.
His ears rang violently, as if they were about to burst from the overwhelming sound.
