Chapter 14: Force
Chapter 14: Force
Victor wasn’t kept waiting for long.
The disciple soon came out of Lukas’s house.
"Senior Bryce, please come in. Brother Lukas is waiting inside," he said.
"Young Master, let’s go in," Bryce said to Victor.
They entered the house.
The inner walls were lined with swords, and faint traces of lightning still crackled in the air.
Victor saw a man in his twenties sitting on a sofa.
He wore a loose robe and had a handsome face full of vitality—yet his complexion was pale.
There was a hint of worry in his eyes, especially when he looked at Bryce.
Then his gaze shifted to Victor, narrowing slightly.
"It seems your condition has improved," Bryce said.
After that, he personally helped Victor sit down in front of Lukas, while he himself remained standing behind him.
"Is there something you need?" Lukas asked.
Victor couldn’t deny that directly asking for the Heavenly Lightning felt a bit awkward—but Bryce spoke on his behalf once again.
"Lukas, I brought Young Master Victor here because I hope that, as a fellow member of the Heavenly Lightning Sect, you will hand over your Heavenly Lightning to him. This will be a great contribution to the sect. Lady Margaret will surely repay this favor to our sect. In fact, I’ll personally record your contribution."
Victor’s ears almost hurt listening to such shameless words. If someone had said that to him, he would’ve exploded on the spot. But here, he was the villain.
So he simply waited calmly for Lukas’s response.
Lukas’s expression immediately turned cold.
"Senior Bryce... is this your idea?" he asked.
"Yes. This is my idea—for the good of the sect," Bryce replied without the slightest hint of guilt. If anything, he seemed to genuinely believe it.
Lukas’s breathing grew heavier.
His eyes looked like they might pop out of their sockets.
But after taking a deep breath, he managed to calm himself slightly.
He looked at Victor—the true focus of all this.
"Are you trying to force me?" he asked.
Victor nodded in response.
"By the way, aren’t you in a relationship with Ella Agron? You know, the Agron Clan is subordinate to the Russell Clan. As long as you help Young Master Victor, he can make things easier between you and that woman," Bryce added with a chuckle.
"You—!" Lukas glared at him in disbelief, clearly not expecting Bryce to know about this.
Now that it had been said out loud, it was obvious they would use it as leverage.
"You’d better decide quickly," Victor finally spoke, no longer content to just nod.
He leaned back, crossing his legs.
The Heavenly Lightning had to be hidden somewhere. It wasn’t something that could be stored in a Storage Ring.
Lukas likely needed to recover first before he could fuse with it.
If he refused to talk, they wouldn’t be able to take it.
But if he dared resist...
Victor wouldn’t hesitate to be ruthless.
Bryce smiled brightly, while Emma fixed Lukas with a sharp gaze, adding even more pressure.
Lukas had probably never imagined being robbed in his own home—especially within one of the strongest sects.
With a grim expression, he said, "Do you think Heavenly Lightning is some kind of toy? You could die just by touching it. At the very least, wait until you’re strong enough before asking for it."
"You think I can’t fuse with it? Don’t worry about that. If I fail, I die. But if you don’t tell me where it is, you’ll die. Not just you—your grandfather, your parents, your friends, and the woman you love," Victor said coldly, not holding back in the slightest.
Then he glanced at Emma.
"Send a message to the clan. Have them capture the mayor’s daughter."
"Yes..." Emma nodded.
"Wait!" Lukas immediately stood up in panic.
Emma turned her gaze toward him.
"I have nothing left except that Heavenly Lightning," Lukas said to Victor.
It sounded like he was trying to remind them not to take anything else.
"Then show me where it is. I don’t want to hear any more nonsense," Victor replied indifferently as he stood up.
Lukas couldn’t hide his anger at being dominated by a boy—but he still nodded.
He was powerless.
Even within the sect, too many people were on Victor’s side.
That was because of their ties with the Russell Clan—and since Margaret’s era, she had gathered countless loyal followers within this sect.
Otherwise, they wouldn’t have feared him. United, their strength would at least be enough to resist anyone.
Still not fully recovered, Lukas led them outside.
Everyone was shocked to see him appear, clearly not yet healed.
"It’s in the middle of the sea," he said to Victor and the others.
"In that case, let’s ride my whale," Bryce said.
He simply whistled—and a gigantic whale appeared beside the island, stretching nearly a kilometer in length.
"Please, Young Master!" Bryce gestured for Victor to go first.
Victor didn’t need to jump. He simply stepped onto the whale’s fin and made his way to its back.
Bryce and the others followed, and the whale began swimming toward the open sea.
"So, where exactly is it?" Bryce asked Lukas.
"We’re heading to Sun Island first," Lukas replied flatly.
He could only pretend nothing was wrong, even though his heart felt like it was being stabbed by a poisoned blade.
"I see..." Bryce smiled, knowing that the island belonged to the Hernandez Clan.
The whale sped up.
Before long, the Heavenly Lightning Sect disappeared from view.
Far from the sect, the storms vanished, replaced by clear skies and refreshing sea air.
Half an hour later, Victor spotted an island.
Interestingly, it was covered in blooming sunflowers.
Several small villages stood along its shores, and Victor could see that the inhabitants were ordinary humans—farming and fishing for a living.
