"Is that so? How much is the rent? Don't you need to sign a contract?"

Sunny couldn't grasp the wealthy mindset where money was just a number.

To her, renting a place meant contracts and timely payments.

"Don't worry about it. Just move in and make yourself comfortable. I'll handle the rent," Leo reassured her, gently smoothing her tousled hair.

"Go take a shower and change clothes. I'll drive you over to check out the place."

Seeing his confidence, Sunny trusted him implicitly and went to freshen up.

Leo changed into casual clothes, and together they wheeled the trunks out the door.

"Why does this feel like I'm going on vacation? We're actually breaking up!" Sunny said with a mix of laughter and tears.

"Just treat it like a vacation. No need for mental pressure. And stop sneaking tears. Unhappiness ages you quickly," Leo teased as he loaded the trunks into the elevator.

"Are you implying I'm old now?" Sunny chuckled.

"Of course not. I'm just advising you on how to live your life. As for your mom's situation, don't stress. Blake and I will look into it further. No one will be wronged," Leo said gravely.

"I trust you. I won't overthink it," Sunny nodded, not wanting to burden him with her worries.

"Be cautious when you go out. Don't trust people easily," Leo warned, recalling her kidnappings with a shudder.

"I will. I'll be extra careful from now on." Sunny had learned her lesson and knew she'd be more guarded in the future, reserving trust only for those truly important to her.

"I might announce our breakup publicly. You can ignore any harsh comments—they're meaningless," Leo added, wanting to prepare her for what lay ahead.

Sunny smiled faintly, her bright eyes locking onto Leo's serious face. "You sound like an elder lecturing a child setting off on a journey, detailing every last thing!"

Leo was speechless.

Seeing his stunned expression, Sunny giggled again. "Don't worry, I'm not fragile anymore. As long as I hold onto your care for me, nothing can hurt me."

Leo sighed. "Alright, if you understand, I won't press on."

Exiting the elevator, Leo loaded the trunks into the trunk himself. The two got into the car and headed toward Sunny's new home.

The streets, recently rinsed by a heavy rain, were less crowded and gleamed with cleanliness.

Sunny gazed out the window at the receding scenery, her heart calm.

Once, the thought of breaking up with Leo had felt like a knife to her heart. Now, she felt differently.

"The shop location will be as close to your place as possible," Leo suddenly said, remembering something.

"No rush. I plan to rest for a while anyway, and you're so busy!" Sunny replied softly.

"I just want you settled so you don't overthink things."

Leo reached over and held her cool hand. "If I don't get you sorted, I can't focus on work."

Sunny's heart skipped a beat as she stared at Leo's handsome profile.

She realized how wonderful it felt to be loved by him.

Once, she'd seen him as aloof and unapproachable, but now she knew his cold exterior hid a heart full of warmth.

"Alright, I'll take the lead in finding the shop location," Sunny said, determined to be proactive and not a burden.

Seeing her renewed vigor, Leo finally breathed easier.
