My Mate Has Two Wolves

Chapter 410

Chapter 410

Third Person's POV

"Free tonight? Cedrick and I would like to invite you for dinner," Jessica asked with sincerity.

"Sure, see you tonight. Just message me the location." Leo agreed and hung up.

Jessica raised an eyebrow and smiled, "He accepted. Actually, our company has been turbulent lately with quite a few issues."

"What kind of issues?" Cedrick frowned with concern.

"A media company has risen rapidly, taking a lot of market and resources. This has never happened before; our company has always been dominant," Jessica shrugged helplessly, "And that company is aggressive, posing a significant threat to us. They integrated over ten companies in a short time, expanding their scale dramatically."

"Is that so? Who dares to openly challenge the Royal wolf pack?" Cedrick was surprised because Leo's entertainment company had always run smoothly, with no one daring to trip him up.

"I'm not sure, but I think the opponent is well-prepared," Jessica's expression turned worried.

Cedrick walked over and put his arm around her waist, "If you need any help, just let me know. I'm willing to assist!"

"I know. Actually, I feel there's a mole in our company. I'll discuss this with Leo during dinner," Jessica said.

"How did you find out?" Cedrick asked in a low voice.

"Someone tried to poach me recently. It's someone I know. They offered me good terms and even threatened me!" Jessica's voice carried a hint of anger.

As night fell, Cedrick and Jessica booked a table. At 6:30 p.m., Leo walked in, followed by Sunny.

Jessica saw them enter together and immediately smiled, "I guessed right. You two didn't break up."

Sunny's face turned awkward upon seeing Jessica.

Although breakups and makeups were common in the entertainment industry, the numerous breakup rumors about her and Leo in such a short time were unsettling.

Those in the know thought their relationship was dramatic, while others might question Sunny's sanity.

Leo nodded at Cedrick, then pulled out a chair for Sunny to sit before taking his place beside her.

"Cedrick, how's the girlfriend I introduced? Satisfactory?" Leo asked with a playful look.

Jessica blushed crimson at his words.

Cedrick remained composed, "She's second to none. Thanks, Leo."

Both Sunny and Jessica shuddered. The two men's conversation was too straightforward.

"She needs someone to tame her, or she'll keep causing trouble!" Leo looked at Jessica as if she were a mischievous younger sister.

Jessica shuddered again, her skin prickling, "When did I ever cause trouble? I've been working hard for you!"

Sunny nodded in agreement. It was true.

"If it weren't for your hard work, would I introduce you to such an outstanding man? Be grateful!" Leo acted as if he had done a great deed.

Cedric immediately picked up a glass of wine, "Jess, we should toast to Leo."

Jessica smiled and nodded, taking the wine glass, "Boss, I'll never forget your great kindness and will surely repay you!"

Leo's lips curled, "You're doing great. I just played matchmaker; the rest was up to you. It seems you've successfully landed this logistics tycoon. Your financial future is bright!"

Jessica's face froze, "Can't you be less blunt? I fell for him, not his money!"

Leo laughed, "With him, money will follow!"

Sunny tugged Leo's pants under the table, annoyed that he was being so improper. She worried Cedrick might not take the joke well.

Jessica was torn between laughter and tears as Cedrick remained tender, "He's right; my money is yours!"

Jessica was moved to tears. Leo had secured her a great benefit.

After drinking, Jessica turned to Sunny, who was quietly sipping tea, "Sunny, how's your arm injury?"

"It's stitched up and needs time to heal," Sunny smiled.

"I watched that video several times. You're so brave! I don't have the guts for that. I'd be dead!" Jessica sighed.

Nowadays, young women face more dangers. Sunny's bravery was inspiring, encouraging parents to teach self-defense from a young age. Even without skills, knowing a few defensive moves could be crucial for self-rescue.

Cedrick whispered to Jessica, "Be extra careful when going out. Avoid such situations."

Leo nodded, "Especially pretty girls need to prioritize safety."

Sunny sighed, wondering who she had wronged to suffer such a terrifying ordeal.
