My Life with Narration

Chapter 447 - 439: Honey, Say Something!

Chapter 447 - 439: Honey, Say Something!

At six in the evening, a group of three arrived near an entertainment street in the East City Suburb.

This area was relatively less bustling compared to the city center, with the surrounding buildings being mostly low-rise, and even some residential houses.

However, there were quite a few small KTVs here, one after another. The road was dominated by three industries: KTVs, barbecue shops, and inns, forming an entire chain, followed by massage and foot spa parlors.

At this moment, Du Qiang and Li Zijun were both in plain clothes, and the three of them were eating in a small diner opposite a KTV.

Two dishes for three people, Shui Zhu Pork and Di San Xian, with each person having a large bowl of rice – economical and affordable.

"Brother Qiang, aren’t we going over there?" Su Qing asked, puzzled.

Upon hearing this, Du Qiang looked at him with disdain, "Do you have any common sense? How many people can be in a KTV at this time? Let’s wait a bit more. Besides, not everyone has arrived yet, so what’s the rush?"

"People? Who? The other... cough, cough, colleagues?" Su Qing stopped himself mid-sentence, remembering he was on a mission and needed to maintain confidentiality.

Seeing his professionalism, the other two were quite satisfied. Li Zijun smiled and said, "There’s no need to be so cautious. The three of us are just here to keep an eye on things. We’ll step in to help when the time is right and keep an eye on some key targets to prevent escapes. Don’t worry, it’s not as tense as you think!"

There were almost no people in the small diner, but even so, the three spoke in hushed tones.

"Wow, the scene seems pretty big today, doesn’t it?" Su Qing asked in surprise.

Normally, a few officers would be enough to shut down a prostitution den, but today’s situation feels like a major operation.

"Indeed, we’ve been watching this area for a long time. There have been reports already, and you might not be aware that this is a famous alley of illicit activities, with many shady places."

"We might as well clean it up since we don’t have any major cases going on recently!" Du Qiang laughed.

During the October long weekend, their criminal investigation department rarely had leisure time, but it only applied to major or extremely bad cases.

However, since everyone was on holiday, other cases actually increased, such as this entertainment street right in front of us.

What do people do when they’ve made money and are on holiday? Naturally, they indulge themselves and spend money. That’s the whole idea of indulgence after satisfaction.

Overall, apart from the criminal investigation department, other departments were very busy recently, especially the police officers, who were swamped with bizarre reports and scuffles. Those were considered normal because of clear responsibility divisions: arrest those who laid hands.

What’s troubling is when senior citizens in communities have conflicts over trivial matters.

This operation on the entertainment street had been planned for a long time, with significant police forces deployed. Still, mostly a few officers were assigned to each area to conduct arrests, mainly because the situation here had become quite unruly lately.

Streets like this, with KTVs often offering cheap private singing services and massage and foot spa shops around, are present in almost every city. Some don’t even have signs.

If you pass by and see a scantily-clad woman sitting inside, chances are, it’s what you think.

"Oh my gosh, I’ve been in college here for four years and didn’t even know there was such a place!" Su Qing exclaimed.

This place wasn’t far from his university, only two bus stops away, yet he never knew there was such a thrilling and fun location nearby. If he had known, he would have at least come for a peek even if not to join in.

"Shows what you know; not to mention, some of the students here also work part-time," Du Qiang teased with a knowing smirk, flashing a look that all men understand.

But the next second, Li Zijun slapped him: "Creep, stop schooling him on this stuff. What’s there to be proud of knowing this? Eat your food. Once it’s dark, we’ll go for a stroll."

At this, the two hurriedly focused on eating, knowing not to provoke her.

The sun set, and darkness gradually descended. The three walked side by side down the entertainment street, as vendors began to set up their stalls around them.

Soon, more people started gathering, with plenty entering the KTVs, and even women sitting outside the nearby massage shops.

The three exchanged knowing glances, then casually bought some skewers from a street vendor, nibbling as they strolled. They even saw a few men enter the massage parlors, where the door would close right after they stepped inside.

After wandering for a long time and seeing the timing was right, Li Zijun took out her phone to report the situation, and soon, a large number of uniformed police officers and auxiliary officers converged here.

"Let’s go, get ready, we act in an hour. Hey, you two, did you hear?" Li Zijun turned her head to find the two squatting at a snack stall, munching on skewers, prompting her to drag them away by force.

Soon, they appeared in a car, with Li Zijun and Du Qiang now in their duty uniforms.

"When we act, stay close behind us, got it?" Li Zijun instructed.

"Don’t worry, I understand: observe more, do less!"

"Hehe, Susu, just stick with us; you’re in for a good show."

Their vehicle was parked opposite a motel, and based on intel, this place frequently hosted such transactions. There were also two other cars nearby, all part of their team.

"Get ready. Everyone out, let’s move. Su Qing, stay with us!"

With Li Zijun’s light command, the three simultaneously exited the car, along with police officers in uniform from the other two cars. Fortunately, none of these vehicles were police cars, so there was no fear of exposure.

Between the three cars, eleven people converged, and with a mutual nod of understanding, they rushed toward the motel, leaving two to guard the entrance, two to head to the back door, while the rest charged straight for different rooms.

"Open up, checking the water meter!"

"Don’t move, hands on your head, squat down!"

"Hurry up, put your clothes on!"

Soon, the old six-story motel was filled with screams and the shouts of police officers.

Not just here, the entire entertainment street experienced the presence of police in any KTV, motel, or foot spa massage shop, and the whole street echoed with siren wails.

Du Qiang, leading Li Zijun and Su Qing, hurried to the top floor. Upon reaching the sixth floor, they saw a dilapidated wooden door, which Du Qiang kicked open:

"Nobody move, it’s the police!"

He and Li Zijun followed quickly inside to find a man and a woman scrambling to cover themselves with a blanket. The woman accidentally revealed quite a lot, but nobody had the time to notice.

"Get dressed, squat down, hands on your head! Did you hear?" Li Zijun sternly pointed at them, and her police uniform lent significant authority.

The couple on the bed quickly dressed, though the man only got as far as his underwear before being pulled off the bed.

"You two handle the other rooms; I’ve got this," Li Zijun instructed as the woman hesitated.

Du Qiang wasted no time, knowing he could rely on Li Zijun’s ability, and dragged Su Qing out, who was still in shock.

"Come with us; she’s got it handled here."

"Oh!"

Then the two rushed to the next door. Using the same method, Du Qiang kicked in the wooden door:

"Police, don’t..."

He trailed off mid-sentence as Su Qing poked his head out from behind him, only to see on the large bed two naked men embracing.

As they burst in, one man let out a shrill scream.

"Ah!!! Brother Jie!"

This left Du Qiang momentarily stunned, but being no stranger to police work, he quickly regained his composure and gave Su Qing a look: "Your turn, enjoy the experience!"

Su Qing: ???

"No thanks, I’ll wait for the next one!"

"Quit stalling, just handle this one! Go on!" With that, he shoved Su Qing forward, who had to feign calmness, shouting:

"Ahem, police, put your clothes on and come out! Hurry up, put some clothes on, that’s quite a sight!"

When they didn’t move, he raised his voice, reminding himself there were other officers behind him—no, wait, he was an officer himself, so why hesitate?

"What are you staring at? Get moving!" Unable to tolerate indecisiveness, Du Qiang snatched the blanket away.

The next second, a scene unfolded that made both of them tense.

"Ah~~ darling, darling, say something, honey, we’re not engaged in illegal activities!"

Su Qing: →_→

Du Qiang: ←_←
