Xiao Shen?
Tian Hua’s heart skipped a beat. What did these people have to do with Xiao Shen?
Her breathing quickened and her face paled as she looked at the scorched corpse.
No...
No, no...
She subconsciously shook her head and denied it in her heart.
They must be talking about another person named Xiao Shen, right?
Right?!
"Xiao Shen. So that was his name?" Zhao Xixi smirked darkly. "Aiyah, the bastard actually managed to give us quite a scare. Too bad he was finished in one strike. Zhou Lan’s exploding flamesphere turned him into a roasted corpse."
She clenched her fist tightly and the ground began to rumble, making earth golems rise.
She grinned wildly. "As for you two, I’ll enjoy your pretty screams."
Tian Hua’s eyes widened as she saw the large golems rise from the ground. She blinked twice and even took off her glasses, using her sleeve to wipe her eyes.
What the f*ck am I seeing?!
"Tsk," Chu Miao swiftly reached out into the air and made a grabbing motion, pulling out a wand out of thin air. "Fireball!"
An orange ball of flames was formed out of thin air, flying straight at Zhao Xixi!
"Pathetic!" The Second Level True Arcanist rank Warlock swatted the fireball away like it was nothing. "Have a taste of my Flamesphere!"
A smoother and more refined ball of flames appeared in her palm. This ball of flames were white in color and were capable of burning through anything!
What...
What is going on?!!
Tian Hua took a step backwards in fear.
For her, the world had gone mad!
The worldview that she had built through all the years of her life was shattered into pieces in ten seconds. Fear surged through her heart and she responded in the normal way a human would.
She screamed, turned and ran!
"What is going on?! What the f*ck is going on?! What the hell is going on?!" She muttered to herself as she tried to escape the towering golems. However, upon reaching the trees, she found that there was an invisible barrier there that stopped her from leaving.
"What... What is going on?!!!"
This was something that Zhou Lan had set just in case Xiao Shen was actually an extremely powerful Senior Arcanist and decided to kill them. Only he and Zhao Xixi were capable of passing through it, and, had the need to escape arisen, would be able to at least stall him for a few seconds and buy them some time.
"No! No!!!" The golems reached Tian Hua and reached out for her.
"Little Junior Sister Tian Hua!" Chu Miao shouted out as the golems picked her up. However, that moment of distraction caused her to get smacked in the face by Zhao Xixi’s palm.
"Aaaah!" Chu Miao cried out pitifully and fell to the ground. Her skull had been burnt away, such that only her lower jaw was left.
"Help!" Tian Hua sobbed. "Someone help— Ah!"
The golems began tearing away her clothes and hair. Blood flowed across her face as she began to scream even louder. "Mom! Dad! Shen-ge! Someone come and save meeee!"
However, her parents were far, far away, and, as for Xiao Shen, was it not his corpse lying on the ground over there?
"Aaah!" Tian Hua let out an ear piercing scream as her small arm was pulled out from the shoulder with a pop, spilling blood everywhere.
"Tch, shut that kid up!" Zhou Lan frowned. He was trying to refine the mana stone at this moment and did not want to be disturbed. Doing this would cause its aura to not leak out and attract attention to them.
"Yeah, yeah..." Zhao Xixi rolled her eyes and gave the golems a mental command.
At the same time, her screams were cut off as a golem grabbed her head and pulled it off her body, spine and all.
Tian Hua was dead. Again!

Meanwhile, Xiao Shen had been in the strange realm filled with clocks. He sighed and shook his head. "I died in one strike..."
After dying repeatedly, he had come to see this space as some sort of lobby where he could take a time out for a few seconds and ponder about what he was to do next.
"I’ll have to ask for speed and resilience..." Xiao Shen nodded his inexistent head as he reached out to touch the clock nearest to his location. As usual, upon touching one of the very, very many clocks, the entire realm and the spiral of clocks all stopped moving for a few seconds, only to start moving in reverse.

"Eh?" Zhou Lan looked up from the runes he was drawing on top of the mana stone.
Xiao Shen’s corpse had begun to glow all of a sudden!
The glow grew brighter and brighter, until it became like a miniature sun, only to dim in an instant.
"Huh?!" Zhao Xixi widened her eyes. "He’s gone!"
After the glow had vanished, Xiao Shen’s body had disappeared!
In front of their eyes, time and space froze, and then began flowing backwards. Their memories were also erased correspondingly as everything began moving in reverse. Tian Hua’s spine and skull in the golem’s hand was fitted back on as the golems surrounding her put back her limbs one by one, the dead Chu Miao rose once again and Zhao Xixi’s hand moved back to it’s original position.
The flamesphere returned with her hand and turned smaller until it vanished into thin air, while Zhou Lan moved back to his original position.
Chu Miao and Tian Hua walked in reverse and entered into the bushes once again, and a whirlwind of flames was sucked into existence, only to vanish in the next second.
A lightning bolt flew from the ground back into the depths of the clouds, and Xiao Shen stood back before them both with a slight frown on his face and dull eyes.
"Hah..." Xiao Shen opened his eyes. He was back in his body, and time had reversed back to the time of his death. This time, however, he would not make the mistake of letting them have the upper hand!
Naturally, the chat noticed and began spamming as usual.
[Action Time!]
[Yay, Anchor is about to attack!]
[Time for a ten Chapter fight scene...]
