My husband Can Cultivate

Chapter 474 Malicious Intentions

Chapter 474 Malicious Intentions

"No problem!"

Tang Fei watched Chen Baixiang, thinking, Getting a woman only takes two admission tickets. This is way too easy.

By then, Chen Baixiang had already pulled Yang Qi away. After they were gone, Jiang Shan frowned. "Darling, why did you invite that bitch?"

Tang Fei shot her a cold glance. "If you want to stay by my side, then learn to behave. I can give you money and status, but remember this: do not interfere with my pursuit of women!"

Jiang Shan’s mouth fell open, but her expression quickly morphed into a fawning smile. "Darling, you should have just said so! You like that girl? I’ll definitely help you! You’re so capable; a single woman isn’t enough to serve you. It’s only right that you find another. Besides, that bitch is gorgeous."

"As long as you understand," Tang Fei said with another glance at her. "Broaden your horizons. A lowly girl like that might have the looks, but she’s still just a plaything. I’ll have my fun and toss her aside. If you throw a tantrum over this, you’re just being stupid."

"Darling, I was wrong. I’ll definitely help you get that bitch. A girl like that is obviously naive and sheltered. She’ll be easy to handle!" Jiang Shan declared, brimming with confidence. She had been a matchmaker before and knew women all too well.

Furthermore, to maintain a low profile and avoid attention, Yang Qi and Chen Baixiang were dressed very casually. Yang Qi was wearing a plain white tracksuit, and Chen Baixiang was wearing one of a similar style, making them look like a couple. Her appearance made her seem like a naive, sheltered girl, and no one would suspect she was the heiress of the Chen Family of Thunder City.

「Elsewhere」

Yang Qi and Chen Baixiang entered the auction hall to look around. Since the auction had yet to begin, admission was free for visitors—a tactic to attract more customers.

"Was it worth it?" Yang Qi asked. "I could have bought tickets from a scalper. Why bother mingling with those types? They’re clearly trouble."

"It’s worth it!" Chen Baixiang said with a smile. "Anything for you, Mr. Yang, is worth it! Besides, with you here, what can they possibly do? They’re just a bunch of arrogant kids. Let’s talk about the auction instead. The first day is supposed to have a spectacular opening ceremony. It’s a huge affair with all sorts of amazing performances you wouldn’t normally see on TV."

"Like what?"

Yang Qi didn’t press the issue. Just as Chen Baixiang said, with him around, what could a few scheming kids possibly do? They weren’t even worth mentioning.

That night, the auction officially began. True to her word, there was a lengthy opening ceremony that effectively hyped up the atmosphere. The massive venue was bustling with people. It was a surprisingly large crowd, filled with a medley of different accents and dialects. There were even blonde, blue-eyed women and tall foreigners with high-bridged noses. It had long been said that this place was a gathering for people from all walks of life, and seeing it today proved it true. It was truly an extraordinary sight.

As expected, Tang Fei and his group were waiting for them at the entrance and handed them each a ticket. He also introduced three others—the sons and daughters of wealthy Sea City families. While not from major clans, they still possessed considerable financial power. One of them was even said to be a karate expert who had studied in Kappa Country.

Yang Qi couldn’t be bothered to learn more about them, and Chen Baixiang looked even more impatient.

However, Tang Fei kept pestering them, bragging about his family’s several companies and assets worth hundreds of millions.

Yang Qi mused, This guy thinks Chen Baixiang is poor. He’s trying to win her over with his money, but he’s in for a disappointment. As one of the preeminent families of Jingnan Prefecture, the Chen Family’s wealth is beyond comparison with his. Chen Baixiang’s pocket money alone amounts to several hundred million. They aren’t even in the same league. The Tang Family of Sea City might be rich, but Tang Fei isn’t from the main branch; he’s just an insignificant member of a collateral line.

"Yeah, yeah, you’re rich," Chen Baixiang said placatingly, then took Yang Qi’s hand and headed into the venue.

Tang Fei was mortified. That move was usually foolproof. It was simple and cliché, but it worked. In this day and age, few girls could resist someone with his family background.

Inside, their tickets were for consecutive seats, so they all sat together, albeit relatively near the back. Clearly, Tang Fei’s status wasn’t very high; the best he could manage were last-row tickets. The seats here were obviously better the closer you were to the front. Yang Qi didn’t care, though. He was just here for the spectacle, so it didn’t matter where he sat.

"Huh? Isn’t that your grandfather?" Yang Qi whispered to Chen Baixiang.

She stuck out her tongue but said nothing.

Yang Qi more or less understood. This girl came to find me on her own, didn’t she? Elder Chen has no idea. he thought, feeling utterly speechless.

There were quite a few familiar faces in the front row. Besides Chen Guo, there were also Lei Tingjun and Ye Feng. As major figures from Jingnan Prefecture, they were naturally qualified to sit up front. There were a few others Yang Qi didn’t recognize.

Tang Fei cleared his throat. "Since things haven’t started, allow me to introduce these important figures.

"The one on the far left is Lin Canghai, the head of a prestigious family from Guang Prefecture. He’s a true heavyweight—not only the richest man in Guang Prefecture but also a master of Martial Arts.

"Next to him is Gu Shanhe, the Second Master of the Gu Family from Su Mansion.

"Further down, you have Ye Feng, the president of the Jingnan Prefecture Martial Arts Association; Lei Tingjun, the eldest son of the Lei Mansion; and Chen Guo, the vice president of the Jingnan Prefecture National Medicine Association. He’s a world-renowned doctor whose medical skills are famous throughout the eight southern prefectures. Many people show him respect.

"The man next to Chen Guo is from my Tang Family of Sea City, Tang Wenqiang. He’s a powerful man—the fourth brother of the Tang Family Head and a key player with real authority. I call him uncle; we’re extremely close."

While saying all this, Tang Fei kept his eyes fixed on Chen Baixiang, clearly hoping his worldliness would impress her where his money had failed.

"Wow, Young Master Tang, you’re so amazing! You practically know everything from the heavens above to the earth below!" Jiang Shan said with feigned awe. To help Tang Fei win over Chen Baixiang, she had even stopped calling him "Darling."

Unfortunately, no matter how they tried to coordinate, Chen Baixiang seemed to have eyes only for Yang Qi. She was whispering something to him, completely ignoring Tang Fei.

Tang Fei was furious. He couldn’t let the two tickets he’d given away go to waste.

"Miss Chen, don’t you have any questions?" he couldn’t help but ask.

"No," Chen Baixiang said, shaking her head. She already knew all of them, so what was there to ask?
