Chapter 460: Dirty Mouth
Chapter 460: Dirty Mouth
"Fine! You bitch, you dare talk to me like that? You must feel pretty untouchable, huh? I’m announcing it right now—you’re fired! Get out!" Chen Hua’s mother shrieked as if she had gone mad.
"Chen Baixiang, look at what you’ve done to my mother! Aren’t you going to apologize? I may like you, but I can’t let you bully my mom! Apologize at once!" Chen Hua also bellowed.
"Are you insane? You’re the ones who came here looking for trouble. What did I even say? You’ve been acting all high and mighty this whole time. Did I ever approach you? And you want me to apologize? Are you kidding me? What is wrong with your heads?"
Chen Baixiang was speechless. Of all the lunatics to run into, why did it have to be them?
"Chen Baixiang, stop pretending. Aren’t you just trying to keep me on the hook? I’m telling you, your fantasy is shattered! You’ve missed your chance to marry into a wealthy family! What a fool, unable to grasp an opportunity when it’s right in front of you. You’ll regret this," Chen Hua said, pointing a finger at Chen Baixiang’s nose.
Chen Baixiang laughed. "Oh, thank you so much for giving me the chance to marry into wealth. It’s all my fault for not cherishing it, alright? So, are we done now?"
This time, both Chen Hua and his mother caught the biting sarcasm in her tone.
Chen Hua’s mother’s expression changed instantly. "You dare mock us?"
"Of course not. You’re from a prestigious family. How would I dare?" Chen Baixiang said, shaking her head.
Suddenly, Chen Hua’s gaze fell upon Yang Qi sitting on the stone bench. His rage instantly flared. He pointed at Yang Qi and cursed, "Was it this kid who taught you to talk like that? I knew he was trouble! Hey! What’s your name? Get on your feet! The National Medicine Association has no need for people like you. Get the hell out!"
Yang Qi’s brows furrowed. You people start trouble, but why do I always get caught in the crossfire? This has nothing to do with me.
However, having been cursed at, he wasn’t the type to simply swallow the insult.
He stood up, walked coldly over to Chen Hua, and slapped him across the face. "Who are you cursing? Say it again, and let’s see if I don’t smash your mouth in."
"You! You dare hit my son! Do you have any idea who I am? A pair of filthy degenerates, just as I thought! Is this the kind of man you like, you bitch? I bet you two are in this together to scam our family for money! Fine, just you wait! Neither of you will be working here anymore. And that’s not all. For hitting my son, this isn’t over!"
Chen Hua’s mother was stunned for a moment before she erupted in a torrent of curses.
SLAP!
To her surprise, Yang Qi slapped her as well. "Your mouth is filthy. It deserves to be slapped."
"I suggest you both leave now. Mr. Yang is not someone you can afford to provoke," Chen Baixiang sighed. This mother-son duo is truly one of a kind. They’ll provoke anyone without even bothering to find out who they are.
"You bitch, who do you think you are? Is there anyone we can’t provoke? And him? What kind of big shot is he? Just because he has some muscle, he thinks he’s something special? Let me tell you, I’m calling people to take care of you both right now! You’ll be on your knees begging for forgiveness!"
Touching her stinging cheek, Chen Hua’s mother roared in fury.
Relying on her own and her husband’s status, she had always been insufferably arrogant at the National Medicine Association. She’d slapped plenty of people before and gotten away with it every time. None of her victims ever dared to speak up. In her eyes, a menial worker and some young man looking for a job were complete nobodies.
But now, before she could even lay a hand on them, she had been slapped just for hurling a few insults. Her rage boiled over.
She looked around, spotted a rock, picked it up, and hurled it at Yang Qi.
Yang Qi showed her no mercy. He sent a kick flying that knocked Chen Hua’s mother to the ground. The rock she had dropped landed right on her own face. While not a serious injury, she was left bruised and swollen.
"Aaaah! I’m dying! I’m dying! You dare to hit me again! I’m not through with you! Chen Hua, call your uncle! Tell him to bring men over! I want this man dead! I want him dead!" Chen Hua’s mother shrieked, pounding the ground as she wailed.
"You! What’s your name? How dare you hit my mom! Believe it or not, I’ll have people kill you!" Chen Hua blustered, making threatening gestures but not daring to advance, as he clearly realized he was no match for Yang Qi.
"Pathetic," Yang Qi said with contempt. "Take your mother and get lost. And let me tell you, as of now, there’s no place for either of you in the National Medicine Association. You’ve really pissed me off."
Chen Hua’s face was livid. He helped his mother up and roared, "You bastard, just you wait! Don’t you go anywhere! I’ll make you regret this! I will kill you! Mom, let’s go for now. A wise man knows when to retreat!"
He knew he couldn’t beat Yang Qi himself. Direct revenge was impossible, so he had to get backup.
Chen Baixiang finally breathed a sigh of relief as she watched the two leave.
Truthfully, she wasn’t afraid of them. With a single phone call, she could have them both ruined. But she had vowed not to rely on her family for a while and to make a living on her own merits, so she didn’t make the call. Besides, she had Yang Qi right here beside her—the actual President of the National Medicine Association. What was there to fear? Back at the Elixir Medicine Conference, Yang Qi had stood up for Zhu Benxiu twice. At the time, she’d thought him crude and barbaric, but looking back now, she realized that was what a real man did. Now that she was living as an ordinary person again, she felt truly helpless when bullied. But Yang Qi had stepped forward at that moment, and he suddenly seemed to tower over everyone else. Her heart was pounding in her chest.
"Alright, let’s go to my office," Yang Qi said.
He didn’t take the mother and son’s threats seriously, but he had already decided that people like them absolutely could not be allowed to remain in the National Medicine Association.
Meanwhile, Chen Hua and his mother hadn’t left the National Medicine Association. Instead, they headed straight for the security department.
She addressed the manager, "Get your men and come with me! We’re going to take care of a couple of little bastards. If I don’t see them taken care of today, I won’t be able to rest!"
The security department’s Manager Liu was shocked at the sight of Chen Hua’s mother’s bruised and swollen face. This woman was a real tigress, feared by everyone in the National Medicine Association except for the two vice presidents.
"Who was so bold as to attack you two here in the National Medicine Association?" he couldn’t help but ask. He sensed something was off. Everyone here knows how vicious this woman is. Anyone who would dare to touch her couldn’t be ordinary.
"Chen Baixiang, and some thug!" Chen Hua bellowed.
Upon hearing that name, Manager Liu’s face turned cold. "I think you’re the ones causing trouble at the National Medicine Association again, aren’t you? What do you think this place is? Do you think the security department belongs to your family? Get out of here! I’m not your family’s dog. Why should I have to handle your personal squabbles?"
"You! What kind of way is that to talk?" Chen Hua’s mother was stunned. Manager Liu had never acted like this before. He used to be at her beck and call. Why the sudden change in attitude today?
