"Is this guy always so arrogant and overbearing?" Yang Qi asked Chen Baixiang.

Before Chen Baixiang had a chance to reply, Chen Hua spoke first. "That’s right, I’ve always had my way around here, so now you understand. This woman is mine."

But some onlookers, who loved to watch a good show, actually brought a basin of water over to Lin Qiang.

Lin Qiang’s rage ignited. He had been drenched with water, yet instead of defending him, Chen Baixiang was speaking up for this other man. He felt utterly humiliated. Unacceptable!

"Chen Baixiang, did you sleep with this man? Is that why you’re defending him like this?" Lin Qiang snarled.

"Shut your mouth! Do you have any idea what you’re saying? Get lost! I don’t want to see you again!" Chen Baixiang was furious. I was trying to make a good impression on Yang Qi, but this lunatic Lin Qiang just had to show up and use me to attack him. Is he dead set on ruining my reputation?

"Fine! Very well! Chen Baixiang, you listen to me! I’ve been pursuing you for half a month! In the past, which woman would have dared to disrespect me like this? You, however, have the audacity to spurn my advances and even bring in some stray to provoke me!
