Chapter 445 305: Post Controversy, The Rise of Fifth Test Players!

After logging off, Rat Tail Juice immediately started posting, sharing his discoveries about Lin'an City and various speculations.
"Everyone, I think I've discovered the biggest secret of the Fifth Test—the Mysterious Realm!
I'm a newbie player from the Fifth Test: Rat Tail Juice. To earn Contribution Points, I didn't choose to follow the veteran players, nor did I join any Hall. After all, if the Contribution Points were split, each person would get too little.
So, I started this pioneering journey with a friend, constantly delving deeper into the mountain range we're currently in and expanding our current map.
Just last night, while exploring the map, I discovered a basin surrounded by mountains on all sides. No more explanations—here's the picture!

The picture shows a city protected by an array. Today, my friend and I entered it and also learned the name of this city—Lin'an City!

Looking at the picture, I imagine all you Lords have understood—there are quite a few NPCs inside Lin'an City, and they are completely different from those outside.
Among the NPCs veteran players have discovered so far, almost none can cultivate. But it's different here. The picture should explain everything. Yes, the people of Lin'an City practice cultivation, but their cultivation methods are different from what we know!
I had a bold guess from the start: the Fifth Test began as an exploration phase, and we are all still exploring. But what exactly are we supposed to be exploring? I suppose many of you are curious too but haven't found any solid clues yet, right?
Next is my bold speculation.
Let's start with the division of realms. After we reach the Tribulation Realm, breaking through to further realms requires a significant amount of Contribution Points. Moreover, the realm achieved after such a breakthrough is not a regular one we're familiar with. Instead, it's an entirely new classification!
Gene Lock!
You all should have seen this name in some anime or novels, but isn't it somewhat out of place in a world with a cultivation system? Right! I was puzzled by this at first too.
Then, when I discovered Lin'an City, it all seemed to fall into place.
The Mysterious Realm's gameplay has, in fact, already changed. We are now in a world where martial arts and technology coexist. There are quite a few people in Lin'an City. You should have seen them in the previous picture, and you should understand what I mean.
I'm guessing that this Fifth Test is actually a division of eras, transitioning from normal cultivation to a world where martial arts and technology coexist. In other words, it's a transition from ancient times to the present. I think everyone can understand that.
As for the NPCs discovered by the veteran players, I have a different view. In my opinion, they are people who have been forgotten by history or perhaps confined by the Ancient Gods. Everyone should have learned about the 'Peach Blossom Spring.' Aren't those NPCs just like the people in it? Of course, these are just some of my speculations.
Now comes the really exciting part: what do you think the Ancient Gods are? And what about those oddities? This is my bold speculation.
Perhaps there are many Cultivators in our current environment. However, due to the emergence of the Ancient Gods, these Cultivators have either disappeared or chosen another way of life. Whether it's Lin'an City or the caves, in my view, both represent a path chosen by Cultivators.
Since we're making bold guesses, let's let our imaginations run completely wild.
The Fifth Test has just started, and we haven't seen a single Ancient God yet, but we've encountered quite a few oddities. Don't these oddities seem like guardians of the caves? They don't allow the NPCs from the caves to contact other people. And these 'other people'… I guess they are similar to the residents of Lin'an City! Similarly, Lin'an City can't contact the NPCs from the caves either.

Yes, my friend and I have already entered the Lin'an City area. We also can't leave Lin'an City anymore. More importantly, after death, we can't resurrect normally. To achieve Cyclic Resurrection, we can only wait for our brothers to set up a Teleportation Array. The information in the picture clearly explains this.
The Fifth Test has just begun, so all players are on a level playing field, whether they are veteran players or new players.
The only thing that can determine the gap is Contribution Points. That much is obvious.
As for the situation here in Lin'an City, my friend and I will continue to explore. I'll try not to die too soon and do my best to reveal more secrets to everyone.
Also!
Shouldn't the Game Designer make an appearance?
Does Lin'an City count as an entirely new Dungeon? It feels like the people here are somewhat weak.
Hmm… It seems I'm not the only one who feels this way.
If Lin'an City is a Dungeon, are there more Dungeons like it? I hope the Game Designer can respond!
So, those are some of the secrets I've discovered. I'll continue to expose more. Everyone, please help get this post pinned and give it a like! I'll post further updates in this thread."
Now, players are somewhat confused about the Fifth Test.
Whether it's the NPCs in the caves or the oddities they've encountered, players are unclear on how exactly to play this Fifth Test.
Are we really just supposed to keep exploring, then grind monsters to level up?
Many veteran players feel something is off. This version is completely different from the ones they played before.
But with the appearance of Rat Tail Juice's post, a large number of players began to comment and reply.
"Old Mo: Damn, I thought we just had to fight oddities to earn Contribution Points. Turns out there are wilderness Dungeons too?"
"Level 8 Gale: Not to brag, but that Sister in a white dress in Lin'an City is really pretty!"
