My crazy Cultivation Path

CHAPTER 157- Are you trying to kill us

CHAPTER 157- Are you trying to kill us

One month later.

Tony had taught Hikiri and Aconé how to awaken their core.

Sitting in front of them, while they had been in full awakening for a month now, Tony still couldn’t stop insulting himself internally.

How could I not have realized it was a core? It was logical… When I absorbed too much aether, the core emitted an unbearable heat throughout my entire body.

Look at it now. If I draw in or envelop my body with aether, the veins spread from the bottom to the top of my body, pushing me into a breakthrough I know nothing about.

Yet, Tony hadn’t lost.

He had almost managed to destroy the second wall. And he had even learned other things.

But it’s useless if I’m dead, he thought.

Over the past few days, he had also noticed that when he entered his consciousness, he could project a small part of himself to look inside his body.

He had taken advantage of this to send it right in front of his aether core.

The process wasn’t easy. Tony had to remain constantly focused and visualize the place he wanted to go.

Then suddenly, he felt like he no longer had a body… yet he could still feel his body.

Opening his eyes, he found himself facing a core shared by three colors.

Admiring it, Tony saw the veins extending from it.

Woah.

He had thought they would look hideous, but they were actually quite pleasant to look at.

The last time he had seen his core, he had only perceived its shape and colors.

Suddenly, something struck him.

Was it unconsciously me who was amplifying myself through aether?

The more Tony thought about it, the more it hit him.

In fights against rank seven or eight opponents, he managed to hold his ground thanks to his mastery of aether and his affinity cards, even though he was only rank six.

But as soon as the fight turned into raw strength, Tony was dominated, clearly showing the gap in rank.

It’s true that I’ve always been a bit crazy… Even before, I had certain ideas I didn’t act on because of the era and others… but lying to myself to the point of thinking my core would continuously amplify me nonstop? That’s truly a masterpiece.

Wanting to applaud himself, he realized he had no body—yet he could still feel it within his consciousness.

I deduce that I’ve only projected my spirit here… but even with that explanation, it still doesn’t explain why my core is starting to push me toward a breakthrough into the Immortal Realm… as if I were ready.

Alright. I sent my spirit here by visualizing my lower abdomen.

I’m still connected to my body. I can feel it, even without being in it.

Tony emitted the will to return to his body…

When suddenly, he opened his eyes abruptly.

Hikiri and Aconé both had their feet heading straight for Tony’s skull.

Are they serious… They barely succeed, and the first thing they do is try to kill me… Too bad for you, I’ve learned something else, Tony thought.

Clenching his right fist, he left his second and third fingers raised.

Lightning burst from those two fingers, but instead of striking Hikiri and Aconé, the lightning flowed between them, forming a sphere the size of a human head.

Hikiri and Aconé, startled, stared at Tony as he spoke:

— Now that you know how to use aether, I advise you to protect yourselves.

Circle of Instants.

Revealing the name of the technique, Tony pointed his two fingers toward the ground.

The lightning sphere vanished as it touched the ground.

But Hikiri and Aconé felt that the moment they touched the ground, they would be scorched by perhaps dozens of lightning bolts hidden beneath the surface.

— Oh no… Can you imagine if I had to wait for my enemies to touch the ground? That would be far too disadvantageous, and worse, it would give them an easy way to reach me, even with my technique… so.

Suddenly raising his two fingers twice, two bolts of lightning erupted from the ground and struck the air, reaching ten meters high.

They passed right next to Hikiri and Aconé, who stared at Tony as if he were insane.

— There you go. And I even limited the height, since we’re inside the base.

Touching the ground, Hikiri expected to be struck by lightning… but nothing happened.

Aconé, however, didn’t waste time. He stepped forward and grabbed Tony by the collar.

— Are you trying to kill us or what?

— No. But at least if you run into someone who does something like this, you won’t be stupid enough to attack without information… and besides, you were the ones who started it.
