My crazy Cultivation Path

CHAPTER 120- Liara madness

CHAPTER 120- Liara madness

Night. Top of the island. Abbey.

Slowly regaining consciousness, Tony tried to move, but quickly realized he was sitting, firmly tied to a chair.

Remembering the last events, he turned his head toward his right arm, his stomach in knots.

When he saw it — his arm was still there. He wiggled his fingers and let out a sigh of relief.

Then he felt a hand rest on his shoulder. He froze instantly.

“You don’t even thank me… Now I almost feel offended.”

Liara whispered in his ear.

Tony saw only one option: try to burn the entire building down. He knew that in a straight fight, he would eventually be overwhelmed.

He had his arm back. Deep down, he knew it was her who had reattached it. But after Kurde’s speech, he had no desire to know why she had done it.

“No. I wouldn’t recommend it. Use your affinity card, whatever it is… Since you don’t seem to want to talk to me, let me explain: I’ve stuck explosive paper tags all over your body. You can call them paper bombs. And there’s also my own affinity card. With it, I can kill you in a single instant without you even noticing.”

She whispered.

Tony lowered his head. He weighed the pros and cons. He had no desire to die. Even less to be tortured.

“So what are you going to do to me?” he asked, voice hoarse.

Liara sat down facing him, crossed her legs, and gave him a sweet smile.

“I just want to talk. Like earlier. Except you decided to attack me before I finished.”

“As you can see, you’re not giving me a choice. So let’s talk,” Tony replied.

If you stumble upon this tale on Amazon, it's taken without the author's consent. Report it.

“Good. What’s your name?”

“Tony.”

“Are your parents dead, or did they abandon you?” she breathed instantly.

Caught off guard by the question, Tony took a few seconds before answering.

“…I don’t know. I never met them.”

“Do you like killing?”

“I feel nothing when I kill. Unless I hate the person.”

“Do you like suffering?” she continued.

Tony began to stare at her in disbelief. He wondered where she was going with all these questions.

“If I came to you holding a child, slowly and tenderly opened his abdomen, and tore out his lungs, his heart, his liver, his intestines… would you stay perfectly calm?” she asked, the same smile still on her lips.

Tony’s incredulous expression quickly turned to worry.

She’s completely insane. Staying with her will only bring me trouble, he thought.

“Maybe if I brought those two people cultivating in their cells, cut them into pieces right in front of you while you listened to their screams and cries… maybe then your face would look a little desperate,” she added.

At those words, Tony stared at her, eyes wide.

He opened his mouth to speak, but a blade instantly appeared in front of his lips.

“I really hope you weren’t about to say that if I touch them, you’ll kill me,” she laughed.

“Do you have any idea how many people have threatened to kill me?”

Another laugh.

“You’re locked up in here, tied up, and you think you can threaten me?”

She leaned in closer.

“Last question. What is your goal in life? And I strongly suggest you answer.”

But Tony had had enough of hearing her voice. He just wanted to land at least one hit on her. He no longer had any intention of talking or answering her.

He had already labeled her a complete lunatic in his mind.

Yet Liara could still show kindness… in her own way.

She stood up slowly and stopped right in front of him.

“You know, when I first arrived on Earth, I discovered some truly incredible things. Tools that help me with my activities… and that also help the people close to me.”

Still wearing that angelic smile, she pulled a saw from behind her back and raised it above Tony’s legs.

Tony finally lost the last of his composure and started screaming at her to stop.

“The body of a human-realm cultivator can smash through a wooden wall, maybe even stone — I have my doubts… But it’s still so fragile when it comes to wounds. To pain. And to my pleasure.”

With those words, she began sawing through his legs.

Worse than any injury. Worse than betrayal.

An insane, monstrous pain struck Tony like lightning.

He felt every tooth of the saw tearing through his flesh. Tears streamed down his face, uncontrollable. His usually calm and calculating mind shattered into a thousand pieces. His body convulsed. Incoherent sounds and screams he never thought himself capable of poured from his throat.

Liara stopped for a moment, looked him straight in the eyes, the same smile still perfectly in place.

“You’re already screaming… And I’ve barely even started.”
