My crazy Cultivation Path

CHAPTER 109

CHAPTER 109

I want to remind you that we don’t know how many there are on the island. Maybe a thousand. Two thousand. Or fewer.

But what I’m sure of is that we mustn’t charge headlong into the fray. That would only hasten our deaths.

Darlius pointed out.

Lost in thought, everyone was searching for a plan of action.

Then Asti spoke up:

“I know you’re going to think this is crazy. But what if a small group pretended to be prisoners? And the other infiltrated the island.”

“That could work. It would let the free group gather information, but the biggest problem will be the lack of communication between the two groups.”

Hikiri retorted.

Answering instantly, as if he had thought it through carefully, Asti said:

“Dina, tell us how the prisoners were treated in the city prison.”

A sigh.

“First, the non-cultivators were on the upper floors; they weren’t mistreated—I’d even say they were ignored.

Then, cultivators from rank one to five were kept in the lower levels of the prison. There were no prisoners with a higher level. Because the guards killed them to recover their affinity cards.”

Dina declared.

“So the lowest ranks here would have to go.”

Hikiri remarked calmly, making everyone think.

“But why are you talking as if we’ve already adopted this plan?”

Aconé exclaimed.

“Well, you really are stupid.”

Simone shot back.

Throwing a look of contempt at Simone, Aconé said:

“Explain it to me, then, since I’m so stupid.”

“No problem. First, the plan Asti is proposing gives us the chance to find out the number of enemies, the island’s potential weaknesses. But above all, extra time before the carnage. Do I need to elaborate further?”

Dina replied coldly, leaving Aconé in silence, realizing his mistake.

Suddenly, a rising laugh echoed around the table.

Everyone turned their attention to Tony.

“It’s easy to decide. The ones going to the prison will be me, Simone, and Asti. Two rank sixes and one rank five. We’ll slip under the radar.”

Tony declared.

It made sense for it to be them. Hikiri or Aconé would get spotted one way or another.

“And communication?”

Darlius asked.

“Easy, I’m here.”

Dina added.

Possessing the affinity card of darkness, she could move through shadows. Passing messages wouldn’t be hard for her.

Standing up straight, Tony spoke:

“And now, what if we talked about the moment we’ll strike? Because that point has to be decided here, not on the spot.”

“He’s right. Sooner or later, it’ll start: the seven of us against an entire island.”

Darlius agreed.

Suddenly, a wild idea crossed Aconé’s mind.

“What if each of us took a section of the island and unleashed at least fifteen meters with our element? Like, you, Hikiri, do what you did in our fight, but instead of seven water jets, you fuse them and release everything in front of you. That would destroy and kill a ton of cultivators. And if we trigger it all at once, we’d wipe out the vast majority of them in one go.”

Caught up in his idea, he didn’t notice his comrades’ surprised looks.

Even Hikiri, who was worried about their situation, started laughing with Tony.

“Well, who would’ve thought he’d come up with a plan like that. And it actually has a chance.”

Hikiri said, laughter on his lips.

“See, Simone, I’m not that stupid.”

Aconé teased. Simone merely gave him a sigh.

“Okay, now the entry into the city. How are we going to proceed?”

Darlius asked.

“I’ve thought about that too.”

Asti replied.

“Well, Simone, while you were training, Asti was training and coming up with a plan. Maybe he’d make a better leader than you.”

Aconé threw in, cutting Asti off.

“If you’re trying to piss me off, you’re wasting your time. I’m already in massacre mode. So I strongly suggest you stop right now.”

Simone exclaimed calmly. But his gaze and words were anything but calm.

Picking up where he’d been interrupted, Asti continued:

“I was thinking that those who’ll roam the city would pose as members of the Payo clan. And that you’d capture us after we leave the ruined city. So they’d take us and throw us in prison. While you, with a clear field, scout the island. And at the right moment, we strike.”

No one had anything to add. Asti’s plan certainly wasn’t perfect, but it was more than enough for them.

With that settled, everyone went back to using the little time left to train.
