Chapter 84 Staying The Night

Chapter 84 Staying The Night

"Open the door." The door panel could not conceal the cold and deep sound of Nick's voice.

Veronica stepped back and looked at the door warily. "Mr. Cage, I don't think that it's convenient for you to come inside the house right now!"

"There's no place I can't enter in the whole capital," said Nick firmly.

Veronica certainly does not doubt that, but how could she let Nick in with the current messy state of her house?

If he came inside, he'd see the six little toys, shoes, and clothes scattered everywhere.

Wouldn't Nick Cage find these things suspicious if he came in?

But if she didn't let him in, she did not doubt that Nick would break the door and force himself inside.

She couldn't hide it then.

Veronica turned to hurriedly pick up the small things all at once.

"I can let you in, but Isabella will be back soon. She will see you. What should I say then?" she asked him.

"I won't stay long." Nick stood in front of the door, looking pale and embarrassed.

No one has ever dared to shut him out yet.

This woman's courage was truly commendable.

"How long are you talking about? Give me a few more minutes or I wouldn't let you in. I don't want to be seen by Isabella and have her nag me all night!" Veronica continued to complain to the man waiting outside.

She cleaned the house like crazy and dared not to stop until everything was orderly.

Nick said coldly, "Fine, I'll give you a minute."

One minute? Veronica immediately hurried the movements of her hands. She could feel her heart in a panic.

Not only the living room was cleaned up, but also the milk powder from the kitchen was put into the cupboard. She was sure that all the six little clothes in her room were stuffed safely in the cupboard.

After tidying up, she sent a message to Isabella: "The man is here, don't reply."

After sending it, she was ready to let him inside. But when she saw the bracelet on her wrist, she pulled it off again before opening the door.

Nick looked at her coldly with his black and deep eyes.

Veronica's eyes couldn't help but admire his. But when Nick walked in, she was forced to take a step back, stunned by his terrible and horrifying aura.

Veronica closed the door and looked at Nick, as he looked around the room and muttered, "I don't know why you want to come to live in a place like this."

Nick scanned the foam board of animation pictures lying on the ground and asked, "Is this your taste?"

"Can't I keep my childlike innocence?"

"Where's your room?" Nick asked her.

"Are you going to my room? Why? What are you doing?" At that point, Veronica just wanted Nick to go away.

Although all the things that should be packed have been cleaned up, she was still nervous and afraid that he might find something.

Nick turned his face slightly sideways, looking at her face with his eagle-sharp eyes.

Veronica had no choice but to point him to her room, so she pushed the door open and instructed him, "This is my room and that is Isabella's room."

She was not afraid of Nick going to Isabella's room, because Nick was definitely not going to.

Nick hastily grabbed Veronica's arm as he entered the room.

Before Veronica knew it, he was dragged in by Nick inside the room, and then she was pressed against the door panel.

"Hey, you."

Nick cornered her small body into his tall shadow, making it impossible for her to escape.

"Come on, Isabella will be back soon. You said you wouldn't stay long." Before Veronica could even finish speaking, he inched his face towards hers and the two lips were closer and more dangerous than ever.

Veronica was so nervous she almost suffocated.

Nick's eagle-sharp eyes examined the features on her face. "It seems that the swelling has gone down a bit."

Veronica wanted to turn her face away, but his jaw was controlled by Nick's large hands. She couldn't do it, so she said, "Can we go now? I really have nothing to see here. "

"Oh, I'm staying here tonight."

Veronica looked at him in shock. "How can that be? No way I'm letting you!"

"There's nothing wrong with it as long as I want to." Nick's fingers slightly rubbed the skin of her chin, and the rough feeling was clear.

"I just won't say anything," Veronica said.

She was afraid that he could really do it.

Although her six little children were with Isabella, the longer Nick stayed here, the more likely he will come to discover.

No matter how eager he was, he didn't dare to mess with her now.

"Be good, huh?" Nick's voice was low and hoarse.

Veronica lowered his eyes and said, "I see. All right."

Seeing that she was obedient, Nick let her go and began to look at her room.

Veronica did not move or speak as the nerves in her body were tense, as if Nick could see what was hidden in the cupboard at any time.

When she was nervous, her eyes saw the nipple of the bottle protruding from the corner of the quilt.

She gasped. Which one of the six must have done it?

If Nick saw it, how would she explain it?

Just when Nick turned to look at the carpet, Veronica spoke out loud.

"Hey, Nick." Veronica exhaled bitterly, seeing Nick looking at her, and said, "My face was a little itchy just now. I scratched it and forgot that it was red and swollen."

Nick came over calmly and looked at her face, which really had a crimson line that came from scratching using her fingernails.

Veronica looked at Nick's gloomy eyes with a reluctant agitation she could not quite understand. She felt as though something bad was to happen. "This is the scratch I did on my face." She pointed at her scar.

Nick's thin lips pressed against her ear, his voice hoarse and attentive."Listen to me closely. Only I can hurt you, do you understand me clearly?"

Veronica was stunned by his threat. Her heart was beating unsteadily and replied, "I got it."

Nick directed his gaze on the side of Veronica's face which could not help but change to a reddish color obviously. His thin lips leaned closer and rubbed the delicate and sensitive skin of her ears.

Veronica's body trembled noticeably as her nerves tightened further.

"You are very sensitive, aren't you?"

Veronica refrained from moving, knowing that if she resisted, it would only stir up Nick's inner possessiveness which would completely go out of control.

Slightly beyond his line of sight was the milk bottle clearly exposed underneath the quilt. She wished that the bottle head disappeared in place.

She was in a dilemma. It was not good to resist, yet it was also dangerous if she did not resist.

In the end, she chose to let Nick press her against the door and do whatever he pleased with her.

He suddenly bit her sensitive ear.

"Well," Veronica shuddered with the feeling of cold mouth. She closed her eyes and tried resisting the natural reaction from her body.

This was beyond her own control unless she was a dead person without perception.

Nick kissed the outer part of her ear and whispered in a hoarse voice, "Come here."

Veronica did not understand what he said because of her twirling vision and fuzzy feeling. Veronica was forcefully thrown to the bed, followed by the tall shadow of Nick, aggressively towering over her.

Veronica looked unsteadily elsewhere because she knew the danger of staring at Nick.

Her heart was thumping with fear.

It was definitely easy for him to see the milk bottle in this direction.

Veronica took the initiative to put her arm around Nick's neck, put his arms around her body, and turned over their positions.

Nick fell on the position.

With this sudden movement, Veronica was above Nick.

"Do you like it up there? Huh?" Nick raised his eyebrows slightly, his tinted eyes as deep as the danger of an abyss as if Veronica could be swallowed up by it at any given time.

Veronica's eyes unwittingly glanced at the quilt next to her, and the bottle showed a little more. Her heart was about to jump out of her chest because of her nervousness.

She had to figure a way to hide it from Nick.

Out of the blue, Veronica came up with an idea. He stared at Nick's mouth, closed her eyes, leaned her face closer to his, and suddenly, both of their lips were tightly sewn together.

Nick reached out to hold the back of her head and deepened the kiss.

The long eyelashes of Veronica's eyelids trembled as she was running out of breath. It felt as if she were about to be swallowed whole by Nick.

A few seconds later, Veronica stealthily approached the quilt, grabbed a corner, and pulled it aside, covering the milk bottle underneath. She pushed the quilt a little further away, successfully concealing her secret.
