Chapter 6 Brawl
Chapter 6 Brawl
Otto's punch was very powerful; the big guy had to use both arms to block it.
This surprised him somewhat.
"Are you also a superhuman?"
Just from that one blow, even the big guy felt a bit sore in his arm.
The opponent's strength is no less than mine!
But Otto remained focused on the battle and didn't say anything more.
His "animal friends" each displayed their unique characteristics at this moment.
When the monkey notices the man blocking its path, it instinctively veers to the left.
The black cat revealed a sinister smile; the opportunity had arrived!
The brown bear roared, determined to exact its revenge on the man before it!
With the help of his "animal friends," Otto already knew what to do.
He pretended to approach, but actually picked up a wine glass from the bar and threw it at the man in front of him.
The other person instinctively pushed the glass away, but Otto seized the opportunity.
Otto used his speed advantage to close in and suddenly bent down to throw a punch.
Just as the monkey analyzed, although the man tried his best to defend, he still subconsciously veered to the left.
Otto's fist landed squarely on his right waist.
With a muffled thud, the big guy's eyes bulged out, his mouth was wide open but he couldn't make a sound, and his whole body fell straight backward like a wall whose foundation had been removed.
His back slammed onto the floor, making the glasses on the bar jump.
All of this happened so fast that the man's companions didn't even have time to wipe the mocking look off their faces!
At that moment, the adventurers burst into loud laughter.
Some people even took a glass of ale just to pour it on the man's face.
"well played!"
An old adventurer with a full beard raised his glass with a smile, revealing a set of yellow teeth beneath his thick beard.
"The speed and power are both good, and the timing is also very good."
Kid, have you studied physical martial arts, or have you been involved in a Qi cultivation sect?
But the adventurer's question remained unanswered.
Otto simply shook his fist before turning back to the bar to check how his adventurer registration process was going.
Seeing this, the adventurer who had asked the question wasn't annoyed; he just chuckled and kicked the big guy at his feet.
"You're just a muscle-bound idiot who doesn't get any brains."
I told you when you entered this industry that extraordinary professions aren't as glamorous as they sound.
Inferior extraordinary professions cannot even provide decent bonuses.
Otherwise, why do you think I haven't landed a superhuman job yet?
These words were both an admonition to the big man and a piece of advice to Otto.
Otto naturally heard the loud voice, but he made a mental note of it and would make a decision later.
This old adventurer was someone I could strike up a conversation with.
When Otto returned to the counter, the woman's expression noticeably brightened.
However, looking at the extra few silver coins in the other person's hand, he guessed that this guy had probably also participated in his bet against the big guy.
The woman, however, didn't seem to care and simply said calmly.
"My name is Eileen. From now on, I will be in charge of your adventurer business."
You have a lot of guts, and you fought well. Plus, with that one-eyed bear as proof, we can skip the strength test.
As Lance said, in the adventurer's profession, whether you can win or not is the first thing, whether you can fight or not is another matter.
This is the countryside. When dealing with a bunch of uncultured thugs, it's easier to use your fists.
Just like now, because of this struggle, Otto has saved himself a lot of trouble.
As they were talking, Eileen handed over a peculiar necklace, with what appeared to be a wooden plaque hanging in the center.
"Congratulations on becoming a novice log adventurer."
Next, I will explain some of the rights and obligations of adventurers, as well as some points to note.
It will take quite a while to find a chair.
I'll go pour the tea.
Upon hearing this, Otto simply nodded and immediately went to the bar to fetch a chair.
During this time, Otto carefully stroked the wooden plaque in his hand.
The front of the wooden plaque features a symbol of an overlapping sword and shield.
This appears to be the emblem of the Adventurers' Guild.
Behind the wooden sign is information related to Otto.
Including but not limited to name, background, etc., the role of which is self-evident.
Only at this moment did Otto begin to truly feel like an adventurer.
But just as Otto was stroking the wooden sign, the bearded adventurer who had just reminded Otto said with a chuckle.
"Thanks to you, Eileen is in a much better mood."
"I hope no one else gets thrown out today."
With the bearded adventurer's explanation, Otto finally understood why he had felt strange when he first entered the Adventurer's Hall.
It turns out that there are always some clueless newbies who try to flirt with Eileen.
Eileen, of course, wouldn't tolerate it; anyone who tried to strike up a conversation was thrown out of the Adventurers' Guild.
"It means literally thrown out; she didn't even leave her seat."
Otto was somewhat surprised by the bearded adventurer's words.
Keep in mind that the distance from the counter to the door is at least 300 meters!
Although Otto's strength has now surpassed the limits of ordinary people, he dares not say that he can throw a fully equipped adventurer this distance, or even throw him accurately out the door!
"As expected, there are huge gaps between extraordinary professions!"
Otto thought that the monkey might not be able to glean information about those potential extraordinary professions for the time being, but that didn't matter. He could slowly inquire among adventurers and look for opportunities to become a powerful extraordinary profession!
Taking advantage of the lull, Otto quickly asked the bearded adventurer for his name, saying he just wanted to chat.
The bearded adventurer didn't seem to care much about this, simply waving his wine glass and maintaining his cheerful demeanor.
"I am Micah the Great Axe, a melee attacker, and also the mentor of that big guy."
Well, you'll soon understand what I mean.
But what you really want to ask is about extraordinary professions, right?
Micah knew perfectly well that young people like Otto all had their own ambitions.
They were naturally very interested in extraordinary professions.
"It's not a secret, you'll find out for yourself later."
Initially, there were differences in strength among extraordinary professions.
You should have already seen the weakest one.
That big guy ignored my advice and rushed to take the job after scavenging a tattered copy of an extraordinary profession from the ruins.
As it turned out, not only did I not receive any bonuses from my extraordinary profession, but I also easily failed against ordinary adventurers.
Micah took a sip of his beer before continuing.
"The initial first rank is called the extraordinary rank. Although you can change your class later, the initial choice is still very important."
If you're interested in this, it's best to avoid inferior or flawed extraordinary professions, otherwise you're likely to go astray.
