With doubt, Yan Lv changed into his slippers and headed straight to the slightly ajar bedroom.
Seeing the woman in pajamas lying in the big bed, seeing her thin cheeks, there was a hint of heartache in his eyes. He surveyed her, noticing her hands outside the covers, and he pulled the blanket over her more. Staring at her sleeping face, he became somewhat lost in thought.
"If we hadn’t married just because we met once, would there have been other possibilities?"
Talking to himself wasn’t Yan Lv’s style, but his mood had become very different. He earnestly looked at the side of her face, sighed, walked out, and then closed the bedroom door.
Not wanting to disturb her sleep, Yan Lv went directly to the guest bedroom to rest.
The next day, when Mu Sha awoke, it was gloomy outside, hinting that it might rain. She glanced at the bed beside her, finding no trace on the pillow. Sitting up and looking around, her gaze became even more misty.

Having awoken early, Yan Lv didn’t hurry to get up, instead, he continually paid attention to the surrounding sounds. The master bedroom and the guest bedroom were only separated by one wall; although the soundproofing was good, if he listened closely, he could still hear some movements. He stared at the door, deliberately left ajar, aiming to hear Mu Sha’s voice.
