Chapter 1253: Is Leng Ruobing Pregnant?

Just then, Chu Xiaoran walked in.

"Why are you back?" Xiao Zheng asked with a chuckle.

"I had nothing to do today, so I came back." Chu Xiaoran casually replied, then turned to look at Leng Ruobing on the sofa. After a few seconds, she asked in confusion, "Sis, your complexion looks so rosy these days, did you change your skincare products?"

"Sort of, hehe..." Leng Ruobing said with a slightly awkward expression.

"Oh? What skincare product is it? It seems really effective, I want to try it too." Chu Xiaoran’s eyes lit up as she asked.

Leng Ruobing was at a loss for words. Should she tell Chu Xiaoran that it’s not some skincare product, but the effect of last night’s romp with Xiao Zheng?

As Leng Ruobing hesitated, Xiao Zheng couldn’t help but say, "Actually, it’s not skincare. Your sister used a magical method. Want to try it?"

Chu Xiaoran’s eyes brightened even more, nodding eagerly like a pecking chick, "Sure, sure, can I really try? What is it?"

Seeing Chu Xiaoran’s eager expression, Xiao Zheng burst into laughter.

Leng Ruobing gave Xiao Zheng a stern look but couldn’t say anything, so she changed the topic, "Don’t listen to his nonsense, I just had a good rest last night."

Leng Ruobing also felt her words seemed off and quickly continued to change the subject, "Have you had breakfast yet?"

"I ate before I came." Chu Xiaoran casually said, not reacting much, then plopped down beside Leng Ruobing.

Xiao Zheng watched Leng Ruobing with a silly grin, to which Leng Ruobing couldn’t help but glare and say, "You only know how to eat, don’t you know how to wash the dishes?"

Upon hearing this, Xiao Zheng quickly got up and started clearing the table, shouting, "Just tell me if you need anything."

With that, he carried the cleaned dishes to the kitchen.

Only then did Leng Ruobing breathe a sigh of relief, and she began chatting with Chu Xiaoran on the sofa.

After finishing his tasks in the kitchen, Xiao Zheng felt bored and went to the garden to work out. Leng Ruobing, perhaps having eaten too much greasy food that morning, suddenly felt nauseous while chatting with Chu Xiaoran.

The feeling came so strongly and abruptly that Leng Ruobing quickly bent over, retching.

Sitting beside her, Chu Xiaoran was startled and quickly patted Leng Ruobing’s back, asking worriedly, "Sis, what’s wrong?"

Leng Ruobing didn’t actually throw up. She took a few deep breaths, patted her chest, and shook her head, "I’m fine, maybe I just ate something that didn’t agree with me."

"You scared me. I thought you were pregnant." Chu Xiaoran stuck out her tongue as she said.

Though she said it without malice, it struck a chord with Leng Ruobing, who froze and looked at Chu Xiaoran in surprise, "What did you say?"

"What’s wrong?" Chu Xiaoran looked at Leng Ruobing, puzzled.

Leng Ruobing seemed to realize her reaction was over the top and quickly waved it off, "Nothing, just a bit curious. What are the symptoms of pregnancy?"

She knew about nausea and vomiting, but she wasn’t sure about the other symptoms.

She hadn’t considered this possibility before, but now that Chu Xiaoran mentioned it, she started to worry.

It’s not that she didn’t want a child with Xiao Zheng. In fact, if well-prepared, she was sure about her thoughts.

But right now, she felt completely unprepared for that kind of life.

She was anxious and nervous.

And the more she thought about it, especially now when she hadn’t taken any precautions during those moments with Xiao Zheng.

In ancient times, because of living conditions, the chances of getting pregnant were slim, but now, as long as there’s no physical issue, the odds are frighteningly high.

Moreover, she’d been with Xiao Zheng already, and not just once!

The more she thought, the more worried she became. Looking over at Chu Xiaoran, she was about to ask more, when Chu Xiaoran spoke up, "Actually, I’m not too sure either, but I’ve heard from others that nausea and retching are signs and maybe dizziness too?"

Dizziness? Leng Ruobing was momentarily stunned, her heart skipped a beat. Yes!

But she forgot, because of the busy work schedule, sometimes feeling dizzy was just from exhaustion.

Perhaps her current anxiety was leading her to make connections that might not be there.

Leng Ruobing internally exclaimed in panic, although her face showed nothing.

"What else?" Leng Ruobing continued asking.

"There’s another symptom I’m not sure of, but it seems to involve going to the bathroom more frequently," Chu Xiaoran continued after thinking a bit.

Leng Ruobing pondered, unsure if her visits to the bathroom had increased. But now, consumed by worry, it was all she could think about.

Considering everything, she was becoming more convinced that she might actually be pregnant.

Inside, Leng Ruobing was screaming, "No way!"

"Sis, what’s up with you? You’re acting so weird today, why are you so concerned about this? Are you pregnant?" Chu Xiaoran remarked sarcastically, raising a fuss.

"Oh, stop it, what nonsense are you spouting? I’m just curious, asking casually." Leng Ruobing gave Chu Xiaoran a glare.

"Ah, sis, why react like that? I was just saying, gosh." Chu Xiaoran said, sounding aggrieved.

"Never mind, ignore it. I’m going out to buy some stuff. Stay here," Leng Ruobing huffed as she stood up.

After leaving the villa, Leng Ruobing drove around the city in circles, hesitated in front of several big pharmacies, but ended up not going in.

She initially intended to buy a test kit, but felt embarrassed to go in and purchase one.

Strangely enough, being the CEO of a big corporation, negotiating deals worth millions didn’t make her as nervous. But now she was embarrassed over this little item.

Women can really be strange creatures sometimes.

Meanwhile, Xiao Zheng, having finished his workout, returned to the villa without seeing Leng Ruobing, and asked curiously, "Where’s your sister?"

"She said she went out to buy something," Chu Xiaoran replied casually.

Xiao Zheng looked at Chu Xiaoran in surprise, wondering what was going on. Normally, no matter what she needed to buy, even if it was for the bathroom, Leng Ruobing would send Xiao Zheng to run the errand. Why did she suddenly go out to buy things without saying anything today?

Really strange.

Eventually, Leng Ruobing couldn’t muster enough courage and was planning to head back when she suddenly noticed a small pharmacy in an unobtrusive alley.

After thinking for a while, she parked the car on the roadside and walked into the alley.

Walking gingerly, looking back constantly, she stood at the pharmacy entrance for a while before swallowing hard and stepping inside.
