Ran Zhihan turned around and left after he spoke. He needed to hurry back home; he didn’t want to continue letting this scandal unfold here. He knew it was a war between the two men, but why drag him, an innocent person, into it?

Zhang Yichen watched his wife turn away and leave. How could he not be anxious? He quickened his pace to follow her. When they both returned home, Zhang Yichen saw that Ran Zhihan had already packed all her luggage. The wardrobe was empty now, void of any of her clothes. "Ran Zhihan, what do you mean? Are you trying to move out? Do you think there is any point in living elsewhere now? Can’t you live peacefully with me anymore? Do you even consider me your husband anymore?"

"What do you mean, ’Do I still see you as my husband’? Do you still see me as your wife? You knew very well that I had nothing to do with this matter, yet you insisted on wronging me, heaping all the blame on me. What do you want me to do to you? Is it possible that in your world, you never really saw me as your wife? I don’t ask for much; I just wanted to live peacefully with you. Why is that so hard?"

"I don’t want you to tell me that you act impulsively because you care about me so much. In your heart, I’m nothing, just a pet you can summon or dismiss at will. You and Chen Gang only see me as a tool to use. I don’t understand why it’s so difficult to live a peaceful life. What do you see me as in your eyes? An object? Something to trade? "Is it that I haven’t given you any trust? When I did trust you, you always thought I was gullible, that I wouldn’t care about the wrongs you did. But now you understand that’s not the case. What’s done is done; you’re no longer the person you used to be, and I too have changed. We really don’t have much left in common. So, please understand my intentions. I also don’t ask for much, just like what you want, but we have both hurt each other’s hearts.

However, no matter what, you have always existed in my heart. I have always seen you as my dearest love. I never thought we would argue or that it would turn this ugly. Do you know? This home has been turned upside down and can’t withstand any conflict between us. I beg you, please calm down and think about the consequences of your actions. Do you really think that you will be as carefree without me?"

After listening to Zhang Yichen’s words, Ran Zhihan laughed.

"So, that’s what you think in your heart. You believe I’m with you just for the money. You have never believed I chose to be with you out of love. Do you really look down on me that much? Do you all think I’m such a vain woman? I can live without money, I can live without anyone by my side, but I cannot live without my dignity. You trample on my dignity, and one day you will regret it. You clearly know that everything you’re doing today is just Chen Gang’s delaying tactic, yet you believe him and doubt me over and over. I no longer exist in your heart, so why put on such an act in front of me?

I really want to ask, what am I to you? Why can’t you give me even a bit of trust?
