He didn’t watch the expression on his wife’s face; he simply thought his wife genuinely wanted to give her grandfather a present that a granddaughter-in-law should bring for an elder. So, he let his wife go, but what he didn’t realize was that his wife wasn’t going to give a gift, but to seek the truth.
