Chapter 257: Goddess Barricade

Sam Witwicky walked down the street. He could feel his heart hammering against his ribs. He looked back and saw the rusted yellow Camaro was there. It was moving slowly forward.He saw there was no driver, no hands on the wheel. "Okay, okay, very funny," Sam yelled.

The Camaro hissed and stopped. It sat there. Sam took three giant leaps to the right. The car swerved in perfect synchronisation.

"Stop it! Just stop following me!" Sam screamed as his arms flailed in the air. He turned and sprinted. The car drove forward.

"I’m serious," Sam hollered over his shoulder. "I’m broke! I have nothing! Go find another teenager to haunt! Go follow a cheerleader or something," he shouted. 

He bolted around a street corner. “Get away from me,” he yelled. He gasped for air, and nearly collapsed with relief when he saw the familiar silhouette of a Dodge Charger  police car. "Officer. Thank God," Sam yelled as he waved his arms as he sprinted toward the car. "I’m being stalked by a.." he said. 

The car didn't wait for him to finish. With a violent grinding of metal and the screech of hydraulic fluid, the cruiser tore itself apart. Tires folded into joints and the chassis expanded into armored limbs. Within seconds, he stood tall with a broad, bulky upper body covered in the reinforced plating of the Challenger’s front end. His chest was wide and had a split grille as an armored breastplate was exposed. His head was narrow and sharp. He had a jagged metallic jawline and crimson, glowing eyes. His arms were massive and heavily built, ending in thick, clawed fingers. 

"Another one," Sam whimpered as his legs gave out. He hit the pavement on his back. "There's another one," he added as he shuffled backward like a panicked crab. “Get away from me,” he yelled. 

Goddess Barricade leaned down. His optics were glowing red "Where is the Ebay Item 21153?" Goddess Barricade roared. "Are you Ladiesman217?” he asked. 

“What are you talking about?” Sam asked as he scrambled back. There was sweat coming from his forehead. He looked to see the giant robot in front of him. He panted. 

“Answer me,” Goddess Barricade shouted as he slammed his fist into the ground. Derby and stone flew upwards as the ground shook. 

Just then they heard the roar of the engine and a blur of yellow slammed into his side. Goddess Barricade was knocked to the left and he crashed to the ground. 

The Camaro then started to transform.  His grille split open. The engine bay turned inside in and out. The back end split open and showed legs. It started to form a large yellow robot. His eyes were vibrant, sapphire-blue optical.  He had retractable stingers which housed within his forearms. 

Bumblebee stood his ground. 

“Who are you?” Goddess Barricadde replied as he got to his feet. “A Auto-bot scum,” he added as he ran towards Bumblebee. He lunged forward and swung his fist. 

Bumblebee ducked under a swinging claw that shattered a pillar. Bumblebee then moved his fist and drove it into Barricade’s midsection. The impact sent a shower of sparks across the ground. 

"Submit Autobot scum,” Goddess Barracide said. He deployed his spinning bladed weapon from his forearm. It whirled with a lethal hum and sliced through the air. 

“He has a saw,” Sam shouted as he tried to run away, however he slipped and face planted on the ground. 

Goddess Barricade swung the bladed weapon at Bumblebee. 

Bumblebee backflipped over a pile of derby. He turned his radio on. "Draw," he said in a western voice. He deployed his arm cannon and fired a bolt of blue plasma at Goddess Barricade’s chest plate.

The Decepticon scout staggered but didn't fall. He snarled, His shoulder-mounted missile pods locked on. "I will tear the spark from your chassis," he said as he fired a volley of micro-missiles. The missless hit the ground nearby and exploded. There was smoke and fire from the ground.

Bumblebee dove through the flames and tackled Goddess Barricade. The two giants slammed into the side of the wall. They grappled and pushed each other. 

Goddess Barricade grabbed Bumblebee and swung him around. He pinned Bumblebee against the wall. The Decepticon raised his bladed fist. 

At that moment, two cars came speeding forward. The Bentley and the Maybach screeched to a halt. James stepped out and looked around. He saw Bumblebee and Barricade fighting. He looked down and saw Sam on the floor with his face on the ground. He thought it was typical. He looked around. He thought he could not see Mikaela Banes. He wondered where she was. She should be here. 

"Look,” Musubi cried out. She saw the two robots. “It is a fight,” Musubi said. “I am going to help,” she added as she launched herself and ran towards them. 

“Wait Musubi,” Rei shouted as she got up and held her M4W. “We don't know what is going on or who is our enemy,” she added.

“The Yellow one is Bumblebee and he is on our side,” James shouted. He then looked at Goddess Barricade "That police car is our enemy but he looks different.” James said. He smiled. "Musubi, take him out,” James said. He knew Musubi can handle herself. She was strong. 

"Danna-sama, should I assist her?" Saeko asked as she stepped out with her hand resting on the hilt of her blade. 

“Musubi can handle it,” James responded as he had a smile on his face.

Lois stepped out next. "Big, mean, and loud. Not exactly the friendly neighborhood watch, is he?" she remarked. 

“More evil robots," Rei remarked as she aimed her M4W.

Lefi crossed her arms. “He is but a pest,” Lefi said.  

“Who are you all?” Sam asked as he looked at the group. 

“We are here to help,” Jasmine responded with a smile on her face. 

Sam looked at Jasmine. He thought she looked like a princess. She was stunning. His mouth was open. 

James approached Jasmine and put his arm on her waist. “Like she said we are here to help,” James responded. 

“James,” Jasmine said as she touched his arm. She had a wide smile on her face.

Sam felt his heart break.  

Goddess Barricade. He turned his shoulder mounted launchers and fired a volley of micro-missiles at them. “No one gets in my way,” he yelled. 

Musubi saw the missiles coming. She twisted mid-air to dodge the missiles. They exploded on the ground and caused a small shockwave. “Too slow,” Musubi said as got closer and punched the final missile. The missile exploded as her fist connected. There was a large smoke cloud however Musubi kept going. She then jumped into the air and delivered a devastating roundhouse kick to Goddess Barricade’s face.

She snapped the Decepticon’s head back. She followed up instantly and landed a thunderous punch to the gut which bent them metal and a double-kick to the chest that sent the multi-ton robot staggering backward.

“Who are you?” Goddess Barricade asked. 

“I am Number 88 Musubi Everheart who has been winged by James,” Musubi responded. She looked at Bumblebee and smiled. “I am here to help," she added. Bumblebee nodded. 

Goddess Barricade looked at them. “You will all die,” Goddess Barricade shouted. “I will get him and it,” he added as he ran forward towards Musubi and brought his clawed fist down at Musubi. 

Bumblebee jumped forward and punched Goddess Barricade in the face. He then put the Deception in a headlock.  

Musubi then jumped and launched herself into the air and snapped a double-kick straight into Goddess Barricade’s optical sensors. 

The giant recoiled. Goddess Barricade punched Bumblebee in the stomach. Bumblebee loosened his grip.

Goddess Barricade fired a volley of micro-missiles.

Bumblebee then transformed his right arm into a heavy plasma cannon. He fired a series of shots that intercepted the missiles mid-air. There was an explosion and it created a wall of fire between them and the enemy. 

Through the smoke, Musubi reappeared. She slid between Barricade’s legs and punched his ankle joint. There were metal shards which came out. 

The Decepticon stumbled downwards. Bumblebee saw the opening and swung his fist and uppercutted him. Goddess Barricade was lifted from the ground.

Musubi looked at him mid-air. She closed her eyes for a split second. She thought about her intense sparring sessions with Lefi and the landlady. A vibrant, violet aura began to come out from her body. The air around her hummed.

“What is that?” Rei asked. 

“Her true power,” Lefi replied. 

"Bear Fist," Musubi shouted as she pulled her arm back. A massive, spectral image of a roaring bear materialised behind her. She lunged forward and punched Goddess Barricade.

Her fist punched straight through the reinforced Cybertronian alloy of Goddess Barricade's chest and exited through the back. There was a shower of blue sparks and black oil. The Decepticon’s optics flickered, faded, and went dark. “Goddess,” he muttered as he collapsed, dead before hitting the ground.

Musubi pulled her hand back and the purple glow faded as she looked at the wreckage.

"He is gone,” Musubi said as she gave a thumbs up. 

James looked at the hole in the robot, then at Sam, who was currently hyperventilating on the ground. "I guess we don't have to worry about the police report now,” he remarked.
