Chapter 297 297: Meeting In-laws?
"Megumi, if you have any problems with your studies, you can come to me. This sunday, come over to my house or I'll go to yours, and we'll study hard together." Tenya suggested.
"Wouldn't that be inappropriate?" Megumi covered her face with her book.
"I see, you're not comfortable at home?"
"I understand. Then let's go out and get a room." Tenya said seriously.
"Tenya-kun, you look like a scumbag who coaxes others to sleep right now. Not just like, you clearly are." Megumi pouted.
"It's settled then." Tenya gave the other party no chance to refuse and directly made the decision.
Afternoon time.
Tenya finally managed to meet Utaha after a long time, at the school library.
"It's been a while, Tenya-kun. I thought you had forgotten about me." Utaha said, crossing her legs, her black stockings appearing even shinier under the light.
"How could I? Utaha-senpai, you're number one in my heart."
Tenya skillfully reached under the table, grabbed something, and started playing with it in his hand.
"You…"
"You really haven't changed." Utaha rolled her eyes at him, but she didn't object.
After all, they had already experienced a more intimate relationship, this little bit of fun was nothing.
"Oh, right. This is a gift I won for you at the cultural festival." Tenya gave her the novel he had won as a prize earlier.
"Thank you. I happen to be brainstorming a new novel recently, so this can serve as a reference." Utaha took the novel.
After Tenya gave the novel he won at the cultural festival to Utaha, the atmosphere between them in the library became increasingly ambiguous.
Utaha gently flipped through the novel in her hand, a slight smile playing on her lips. "I didn't expect you to be so thoughtful. This novel actually looks quite interesting."
Tenya smiled and leaned closer, his arm accidentally brushing against Utaha's hand. "Of course, as long as Utaha-senpai likes it. I just knew this book was perfect for you the moment I saw it."
Utaha rolled her eyes at him, but she didn't pull away. Their gazes met over the book, then quickly shifted, a different kind of emotion filling the air.
After leaving the library, Tenya suggested they visit a newly opened dessert shop outside of school.
Utaha nodded slightly, and they walked side by side along the campus path. Sunlight filtered through the leaves, casting dappled patterns on them.
Along the way, Utaha shared her inspirations for her new novel, while Tenya listened attentively, occasionally offering interesting ideas that made Utaha laugh continuously.
Upon arriving at the dessert shop, the cozy decor lifted their spirits. Artistic paintings hung on the walls, and soft lighting created a romantic atmosphere.
Tenya gentlemanly pulled out a chair for Utaha, then ordered the shop's signature strawberry mousse cake and a latte.
While waiting, Utaha noticed a small bookshelf in a corner of the shop, displaying some books. She got up and walked over, Tenya's gaze following her. Utaha crouched in front of the bookshelf, carefully flipping through the books.
Tenya quietly walked behind her, suddenly bending down and whispering in her ear, "What, found a book you like so much you're ignoring me?"
Utaha was startled, her body trembling slightly. She turned her head and glared at Tenya. "You scared me."
But her cheeks were slightly flushed, and her eyes held a hint of playful reproach.
Tenya smiled and helped her tuck a stray strand of hair behind her ear, his finger gently tracing her cheek. "I just saw you were so engrossed, I couldn't help but want to tease you."
Utaha slapped his hand away, but she didn't avoid his gaze. They simply looked at each other, and the atmosphere grew increasingly enchanting. Back at their table, the cake and coffee had arrived.
Utaha gently scooped a spoonful of cake into her mouth, a look of satisfaction on her face. "Hmm, the taste isn't bad."
Tenya watched her, then took a bite of cake himself, saying, "No matter how good it tastes, it's not as beautiful as you."
A cheesy pick-up line, but its effect depends on who uses it.
"Heh."
Utaha couldn't help but laugh. "Your mouth, it only knows how to make others happy."
"My mouth, it doesn't just know how to make others happy, you know."
Tenya licked his lips, revealing a look that implied mutual understanding.
"Stop! Don't talk nonsense." Utaha tossed her long hair.
As they walked, they arrived at a park. There was a lake in the park, its surface reflecting the trees on the shore and the afterglow of the setting sun, creating a beautiful scene.
Utaha was captivated by the beautiful scenery. She walked to the lakeside, silently admiring it.
Tenya walked to her side and gently took her hand. "Utaha-senpai, it's so beautiful here."
Utaha turned to look at him, her eyes filled with tenderness. "Yes, looking at this scenery with you makes it even more beautiful."
Tenya took the opportunity to pull her into his embrace. Utaha didn't resist, leaning against him, enjoying this moment of tranquility.
"It's getting late, I need to go back." Utaha checked the time.
Tenya was a bit reluctant. "Are you leaving so soon? I really don't want you to go."
Utaha couldn't help but laugh at his expression. "It's not like we won't see each other again. Come on, walk me home."
Tenya accompanied Utaha to the bottom of her building. They stood under the dim streetlights, gazing at each other.
Tenya suddenly leaned in and lightly kissed Utaha 's forehead. "I had a great time today, Utaha-senpai."
Utaha's face instantly flushed red. She lowered her head and said, "Me too. You should go back now."
"Aren't you going to invite me up to your place?" Tenya revealed his true intentions.
"No! My parents are home." Utaha quickly shook her head and refused.
"What does it matter if your parents are home?"
Tenya considered himself a social butterfly and wasn't afraid of any in-laws.
"I said no means no!" Utaha firmly refused.
She then took out a small black box from her backpack and handed it to him, saying with a smile, "Tenya-kun, please use this as a side dish tonight."
Tenya looked through it with his penetrating gaze and saw that it contained a pair of black stockings, still warm. He immediately understood her intention.
"Tsk."
"Utaha-senpai, do you think this level is enough to satisfy me?"
"At least give me a farewell kiss, right?" Tenya raised an eyebrow, as if it were a reasonable request.
"What a greedy junior. However, I'll give you a beautiful memory for now."
Utaha hesitated for a moment, but ultimately chose to step forward and wrap her arms around his neck.
Their eyes met, and they naturally engaged in a zero-distance contact.
"Utaha, is that you back... Oh dear. Excuse me, I didn't mean to interrupt you young people."
Just then, the door opened, and Utaha's mother came out. She immediately covered her mouth, chuckled, and retreated.
"Ugh!"
Utaha's face instantly flushed crimson, and she quickly pushed Tenya away.
However, Tenya remained calm and composed, even naturally waving to Utaha's mother to greet her.
"Good evening, auntie."
"Are you Tenya-kun? Utaha often mentions your name at home, you know." Utaha's mother looked him over with interest.
From his appearance, he looks quite good.
"Mom! Let's go home."
Utaha, like a little girl caught red-handed, quickly pushed her mother back towards the door.
"Eh. Mom wanted to have a good chat with Tenya-kun too." Her mom teased.
"Honey, is Utaha back? Hmm?! Why is there a man too?! Who is that guy?!"
A middle-aged man walked out of the room. Upon seeing Tenya, his eyes immediately turned cold, and his vigilance heightened dramatically.
"Dad, go back!"
To prevent her father from spouting nonsense, Utaha sternly closed the door.
"What a pity…"
Tenya sighed inwardly, thinking that there would be no opportunity for further interaction tonight. But it didn't matter. After all, there were still three Yukinoshita at home, plenty of opportunities for interaction.
