Chapter 426: It’s Indeed My Problem
Chapter 426: It’s Indeed My Problem
In the Anderson’s mansion.
The sudden appearance of the two people made the atmosphere livelier.
The air was filled with the fragrance of the fruits and the food.
Orlenna came out of the kitchen with the fried fish she had just made. She looked at the people in the room and urged, "Is Bruce still not back yet?"
Hilla put down the small ball in her hand and replied, "I’ve already made a call. He was on the way. He should be home soon."
Orlenna nodded. "He should be back quicker since his sister is back."
Hilla smiled. Although Orlenna was complaining, she knew that she missed Margaret and cared about her two children.
"Where’s Margaret?"
Orlenna’s gaze never left the other people in the room, especially Margaret, who came home today.
She had personally cooked Margaret’s favorite dishes. If Margaret was gone, wouldn’t it be a waste of her efforts?
Hilla raised her head and saw Margaret slowly coming down from the second floor.
Margaret looked gloomy.
Julian noticed it immediately.
He walked towards her, "Why are you unhappy?"
Margaret took a deep look at Julian and suddenly said very seriously, "I take back my words. I don’t think you are like that."
Julian was confused. He frowned at the woman in front of him.
"Where did you go? Should I be grateful for your patronizing? Look at yourself. You are sloppy! So you don’t care about your appearance after you are married, right? I don’t understand why Julian doesn’t mind."
Orlenna’s words shocked Julian. He quickly said, "I don’t mind it at all."
Margaret shook her head proudly. "I’m already married. Why are you still trying to control me? Are you a housekeeper?"
"You..."
Orlenna instantly raised her knife and fork. Margaret immediately dodged and shouted, "Don’t be so agitated. Be careful not to hurt me."
"I cannot touch you, right?"
Orlenna waved her knife and fork but did not touch Margaret at all.
Margaret proudly found a seat far away from Orlenna and sat down. "I’m a Jorgansen now. Before you hit the dog, look at the master."
"No, that doesn’t sound right."
Margaret frowned and swallowed the words she had just said.
Wasn’t she just calling herself a dog?
How could she scold herself?
Frustrated, she took a bite of the food and said impatiently, "Mom, don’t worry about it. Julian doesn’t dare to dislike me."
Now that all the inheritance was on her. If Julian dared to dislike her, she’d make him bankrupt in a split second.
Orlenna knocked on Margaret’s fork in disgust. "What are you doing? Your brother hasn’t come back yet."
"Mom, I’m so hungry. Although Bruce hasn’t come back yet, I’m home now. How can you watch me starve?"
The next second, Margaret covered her mouth, her eyes widened.
"What’s the matter?"
Hilla noticed something was wrong and asked.
Margaret did not respond. She put down her knife and rushed into the bathroom.
Hilla wanted to chase after her but was stopped by Orlenna.
"Don’t worry, she just ate some pepper. She won’t die."
"She had always been like this ever since she was young. She believes a pepper could kill her."
Hilla thought that Margaret indeed didn’t like eating this kind of thing, so she didn’t say anything else.
Julian put down the bowl and stood up. "I’ll if she’ll alright."
After that, he followed up.
Soon, Margaret, who had vomited, came out of the bathroom. She grabbed the cup on the desk and drank some water.
When the taste of the pepper in her mouth was washed clean. She frowned and complained to Orlenna. "Mom, the fried fish you made is not as delicious as Julian’s. There are too many peppers."
Orlenna rolled her eyes as a response to Margaret’s complaint.
She snorted and said with dissatisfaction, "If you don’t want to eat what I made, then
I’ll have to trouble Julian to cook in the future."
Margaret quickly shut her mouth.
She was kind of scared of the way Orlenna glared at her.
Hilla looked at Margaret, feeling a little sympathy for her.
"I’ve been used to what you cooking after all these years."
Margaret said, quickly picking up some vegetables and beginning to eat.
Orlenna smiled and said calmly, "Since you like what I cooked so much, eat all of them. They are full of my love for you."
When hearing "my love for you", Margaret was choked by the rice. It took a lot of effort to swallow it.
"That’s so creepy! Mom." she thought.
A noise came from outside the door. Hilla quickly got up and said, "Mom, Bruce is back!"
Seeing Orlenna nod, Hilla got up with a smile and went out to welcome her husband. "Bruce is just coming back from work. Look at how happy she is." Margaret lowered her head and curled her lips unhappily.
"I’m not going to be like her." she thought.
Julian, who was beside her, suddenly said, "Bruce must be very happy."
Margaret immediately turned to him with a vigilant expression which made Julian frown.
"Why are you looking at me that way? Is there something wrong with your eyes?" Julian thought.
"Do you still have something for Hilla?"
Before Margaret could finish her words, Julian stuffed a piece of ribs into her mouth.
She immediately choked and rolled her eyes. Before Margaret could get angry, Julian suddenly came over. He said, "Don’t tell me you want to make yourself a cuckold!"
Margaret pointed at Julian, lowered her voice and gritted her teeth. "Do you have an ulterior motive?"
Julian gave her a speechless look and said coldly, "Let’s eat. Eat more and plug your mouth."
Margaret thought, "Crap, you’re guilty!"
Although Margaret complained, she still ate the entire pot of fried fish.
Hilla stared at Margaret in disbelief and couldn’t help but ask, "Wouldn’t you feel
uncomfortable after eating so much?"
Margaret leaned comfortably on the sofa and narrowed her eyes slightly.
Right now, she was more than just comfortable. She felt awesome.
"Let’s go out for a walk."
Julian urged, pulling Margaret.
However, he did not pull her up. Instead, Margaret fell on the sofa completely.
With a helpless expression, she said, "I don’t want to walk. I want to be fat."
Julian speechlessly picked her up from the sofa. And he teased, "No, I don’t you like being fat."
"Julian, then why don’t you hug a utility pole?"
Margaret struggled but was still dragged out.
Hilla took a look at them and couldn’t help but ask Bruce, "Should we go out for a walk too?"
One could easily get fat without proper movement after eating.
Bruce turned his head and looked at her thoughtfully.
His dark eyes shone as his burning gaze swept past her crimson cheeks and landed on her plump and alluring red lips. He said in a slightly hoarse voice, "If you want to exercise, let’s go back to bed."
Hilla felt regret for what she had proposed.
...
Orlenna coaxed the kids to sleep and then went downstairs. She frowned when she saw Hilla and Bruce cuddling.
"Where Margaret? Where is that wretched girl?"
Hearing Orlenna’s voice, Hilla quickly pushed the man beside her away and glanced outside the door. "Margaret said that she was going to the garden with Julian. They should be back soon."
Although Orlenna complained a lot, she was happy that Margaret was back.
The family was reunited, and she was delighted with this New Year’s Day.
"This girl, how long has she been married? She had got nothing but some extra fats."
Hilla smiled. "Margaret is fine. She isn’t that fat."
"Margaret seemed to be even more active than before." she thought.
Hilla liked to see Margaret being so happy every day.
Orlenna gave them an unpleasant glance but didn’t say anything.
"Those two little guys really tired me out. You guys should rest early too."
After saying that, she gave Bruce a meaningful look and coldly said, "It’s already so late. As an older brother, don’t you know to call your younger sister back to rest?"
Bruce was scolded for no reason. He slowly got up and held Hilla’s arm, "She’s safe at home. No one would do anything to her except that guy."
Before Orlenna got angry, Bruce said, "Don’t worry. He won’t do anything to anyone else other than your daughter."
The guy that Bruce was talking about was obviously Julian, his good brother-in-law.
Orlenna retorted, "You are all troubles."
After that, she ignored them and turned to go upstairs to rest.
She had already gotten sick of seeing them tossing and turning in front of her day by day.
Hilla glanced at Bruce and said, "Mother is angry that you said that about Margaret."
"It’s Margaret’s business. It has nothing to do with us."
As Bruce spoke, he grabbed Hilla’s hand and lightly kissed her fingertips.
Hilla blushed and tried to withdraw her hand but failed. She could only frown. "Who would say that about their sister?"
"Margaret will be sad if she hears that."
Hilla frowned with deep displeasure.
Although she was not related to Margaret by blood, Margaret treated her like family after she married into the Anderson family for so many years. And she treated Margaret the same way as she treated Halle too.
She didn’t want to see Margaret sad, just like she didn’t want to see Halle unhappy.
Seeing that she was angry, Bruce immediately softened and said, "Margaret is my sister. Why would I make her unhappy?"
"Is that true?"
Seeing that Hilla was still doubtful, Bruce pulled Hilla upstairs to the room.
"Whether it is true or not, you will know in a while."
He could make an in-depth explanation.
It was winter, and it was freezing outside.
Margaret walked a few minutes outside, then went into the greenhouse.
"It’s too cold!"
She frowned and looked at the scenery outside the glass window.
The glass in the greenhouse was uniquely processed. She could clearly see the outside, but the people outside could not see the inside.
Hiding here while admiring the snow in the winter and the flowers in the summer was the most comfortable thing to do.
The temperature in the greenhouse was very high. Unlike the bleak frost outside, many flowers were blooming inside.
The red rose emitted a faint fragrance, making people feel like they had fallen into a beautiful flower basket.
Margaret immediately ran to the soft couch and nestled up.
The white velvet blanket was gentle and comfortable. Margaret wrapped herself up with it.
She then took out a cola from the small refrigerator behind.
This place was delicately equipped because Hilla loved to read here. The servants would come to carefully clean and arrange it every day.
White bubbles swarmed out from the bottle.
Just as Margaret was about to lower her head to drink, it was snatched away by Julian.
Julian raised his head and drank more than half of the bottle quickly. Margaret was stunned and said anxiously, "That is mine."
"I haven’t drunk it yet. How can you just take it away from me?" Margaret murmured.
Julian returned the bottle to her. There was still half a bottle inside. Margaret immediately glared at him with dissatisfaction.
"There are so many here. Can’t you take it another one? I haven’t even taken a sip."
They are at their wives’ service all the time.
Look at you. You act against me all the time.
You can’t be my husband. You are my enemy!> Margaret thought.
"There are so many here. Can’t YOU take another bottle?"
Julian replied indifferently.
Margaret was so angry that she didn’t know what to speak for a second.
"All you ever do is to bully me."
She gritted her teeth and said unwillingly, "You can’t make me pregnant, yet you are so proficient in stealing my stuff."
When Margaret thought that Riya was pregnant, she felt depressed.
She muttered in a low voice, "Even Riya, such a dramatic woman, is pregnant. And Halle is pregnant with a second child. It’s all your problem!"
Margaret’s voice wasn’t loud. She was clearly muttering to herself.
As if afraid that the man next to her would hear it, she deliberately lowered her voice and spoke vaguely.
Even so, Julian still heard every word.
He turned to look at her and suddenly pressed down.
Margaret was shocked. She subconsciously turned to the side and rested her hand on the couch. "What are you doing?"
"Why do you have to be so scary?" Margaret complained to herself.
"What did you just say?"
Julian’s voice was low yet profound. Margaret was instantly surrounded by his arms.
That pair of deep and dark eyes seemed to be able to see through all the small schemes in her heart, exposing her cowardice.
Margaret twitched her lips, "What did I say? Nothing."
She tried to push him away, but Julian grabbed her wrist and pulled her into his arms.
His movements were too fast that Margaret didn’t even have the chance to resist.
Julian’s rosy lips opened and closed in front of her eyes, looking seductive.
"I’m useless?"
Julian muttered, the corners of his mouth slightly curved, revealing a sinister smile.
However, the woman in his arms looked distracted.
She was distracted in his arms. He was really...somewhat useless.
"Julian, do you feel anything?"
"What kind of feeling?" Julian wondered.
Margaret thoughtfully analyzed, "Is it because you don’t work hard enough that I’m not pregnant? Why don’t we try a new position?"
She didn’t believe that she would lose to Riya. She couldn’t accept the fact.
Julian was angry and amused. His fingertips swept across her cheek and held her chin.
He smiled sarcastically, "In that case, It’s indeed my problem. I’m sorry to let you bother, Madam."
