Chapter 408: Am I Obsessed with Him?
Chapter 408: Am I Obsessed with Him?
Margaret was shocked by her thought.
She jumped out of Julian’s arms, warily stepped backward, and grabbed the door.
Margaret thought she had underestimated the enemy and forgot Julian was the heir to the Jorgansen family. He might be ruthless behind her back.
Orlenna and Bruce had left so that no one could restrain him.
Julian could reveal his arrogant attitude.
Margaret was afraid that he was going to pull her back to his room.
She suspected that Julian would rape her at first and then murder her.
"I think we can sit down and talk."
Margaret was stunned and vigilantly stared at Julian.
Julian gave her a cold glance, and he couldn’t bother to argue with her.
He dragged Margaret through the door.
The sudden move made Margaret tense up.
She suddenly shouted, "Julian, relax. I have all your money. If I die, my mom will have them. You’d better think twice before you do anything."
People in business were best at math and wouldn’t lose money in any deal.
Julian furrowed his brows and placed his palm on Margaret’s head. Suddenly, he leaned down.
He put his lips on Margaret’s ears and whispered, "I want to pry this thing open and see what’s inside."
Margaret stared blankly at the man only a few inches beyond her.
It was as if every breath they took could easily wrap around each other. She blinked and whispered. "It’s my brain. Are you an idiot?" ...
Julian was speechless.
"Sir, the soup is ready. Do you and Mrs. Jorgansen want to have it now?"
Evan looked at them and had a weird feeling.
He wondered if he came at the wrong time or disturbed Mr. and Mrs. Jorgansen.
Evan was going to turn around and leave.
Julian and Margaret turned around and looked at Evan.
They said at the same time, "Dump it!"
...
"I said dump it!"
Evan stood there still.
He shouldn’t give any judgment, so he silently went to the kitchen and poured the soup.
Poor Orlenna! It contained a whole box of valuable ingredients. Although it smelled stinks, the soup was nutrients.
Margaret recovered from the shock, gazed at Julian, and gulped nervously.
She whispered, "We don’t need this, right?"
Julian agreed, "Well, yes."
Then Julian picked her up and strode upstairs to the room.
Margaret crossed her arms around his neck and called out nervously, "What are you doing?"
Julian’s voice echoed throughout the hall as he spoke steadily.
"We do what mom wants us to do. First, back to the room!"
"What’re we doing in the room?"
Margaret was tense with nervousness, but she risked her life to ask him the question.
Julian looked down at her and smiled.
"I’ll give you an heir," he evilly said.
Then it would erase Margaret’s worry that Julian cast greedy eyes on her ten billion.
Margaret was confused at first, but her face blushed as soon as she figured it out.
She tightened her arms and whispered, "Actually, there’s no rush." "Well, I’m in a rush. I want to inherit your ten billion as soon as possible." When Margaret locked eyes with Julian, she became bashful.
She stared fixedly at the man...
On the return flight.
Hilla glanced out of the window worriedly. At this moment, Orlenna said calmly, "Don’t worry. Margaret is wild so that no one can bully her."
Hilla couldn’t quite believe what Orlenna said.
She decided to say something. "Mom, Margaret is innocent. People in the Jorgansen family have ulterior motives. If Margaret wants to have a kid, can she really handle it?"
She was confused because Orlenna didn’t seem to worry about Margaret’s pregnancy.
But she looked so worried ostensively.
Orlenna wanted her daughter to gain a foothold in the Jorgansen family, so Hilla could understand why Margaret needed to have a child.
But Margaret had shown nicely to Julian. Hilla was afraid that things would go against her wishes.
"I know my daughter. It doesn’t matter if she has a child. The Jorgansen family still has to give her some respect."
If they wanted the Jorgansen family’s forgiveness, they had to show us some attitude.
This child was not only to maintain Margaret’s marriage but her place in the Jorgansen family.
The Jorgansen family would hold less suspicion towards the Anderson family because of the kid. At that time, the goal of marriage between two families had been achieved.
She couldn’t possibly have sent her daughter out and let Julian take the advantage.
It was true that they came to ask for marriage, and Orlenna didn’t want her daughter to be bullied in the Jorgansen family. Since it was a marriage based on mutual interest, they had to focus on the goal.
Although Hilla was puzzled, she seemed to understand Orlenna.
She slowly nodded and whispered, "I’m afraid that Margaret will refuse to do so.
If Margaret were unwilling, this plan would not end up well. After all, it was her kid.
Orlenna snorted. Her voice was calm. "Why would she be unwilling?"
She could read her daughter’s mind.
She said no and meant something else. She was just as proud as her dad.
Margaret rested at home for a few days and stayed strong and healthy.
As soon as she arrived at the company, Lily and Summer pulled them over.
In the tea room.
Lily excitedly touched Margaret’s stomach and said with a trembling voice, "Is my future husband going to come out?"
Margaret rolled her eyes and slapped Summer’s hand away.
"Don’t ever think about it. I have no intention of taking you in as my daughter-in-law."
Summer gulped nervously and said, "So, is it the miscarriage thing true?" Margaret did not come to the company these days, and words got around.
At first, Summer and Lily didn’t believe it. But they began to stagger while seeing Margaret’s sneaky look.
"What miscarriage? I just remove an appendix."
Margaret told them about everything that had happened in the past few days. They were excited as if they were watching a big-budget film.
They blinked quickly and said, "So, it’s true that rich and powerful family is a mess."
"Your mother is awesome. You can even make up such a story about miscarriage. The Jorgansen family must have felt sorry for you when they found out that. No one will mess around with you."
"Then wouldn’t you do whatever you want in the Jorgansen Group?" Hilla was smart, and they wanted to listen to the next part. An appendix for an ’unborn child’! It is well worth a try!
...
Hearing their words, Margaret raised her head proudly.
"There’s really nothing to it. I was born an actress."
Lily nodded. "Your mother plays her cards well. Jessie will not come to mess with you again."
Summer said with admiration, "I can’t believe Mr. Jorgansen helped you to cheat all his family members! What a man!"
No one would hate a macho who loved and protected his wife as much as he could.
Summer looked as if she were enchanted by Julian. Margaret said unhappily, "He’s mine."
Summer rolled her eyes. "Good things are always coveted by someone. But don’t worry. I won’t take him away from you."
"Julian can only be admired. He is not an item." Margaret thought.
"You may have a try. No one can take him away."
Margaret muttered. Summer could not help but look at her.
"Margaret, you are too arrogant."
A spoiled woman was always annoying.
Lily said to Summer, "Women in love are all stupid. Don’t mind what she said."
Summer nodded in agreement.
They knew Margaret was stupid. So, they could only put up with her public display of affection for Julian.
"Your mother has left. You should have recovered from your ’miscarriage.’ What if Miss Jorgansen finds your fault again?"
The ladies of rich families often tried all sorts of tricks to gain their end, even at the risk of their lives. An ordinary person was supposed to know how to deal with ladies like Jessie.
But Margaret was really cool. She got things settled with a tail.
What a lucky woman! She made people jealous!
"I don’t mind. I am not afraid of her."
At the mention of Jessie, Margaret’s face darkened.
She would never admit defeat in battles with Jessie.
"It’s easy to dodge open spears, but it’s hard to guard against hidden arrows."
Summer muttered to herself, "What does Mr. Jorgansen think? He grew up with his sister. He can’t be ruthless to her."
And the Jorgansens would not allow Julian to get tough on her.
Rich and powerful families cared most about their reputations. The Jorgansens would protect Jessie, although she had no blood relationship with them.
After all, she was now a member of them.
"I don’t care what he thinks. It has nothing to do with me."
Margaret said disdainfully. Summer and Lily were speechless.
They surely knew how much Margaret cared about Julian’s thoughts.
"Mr. Jorgansen is an upstanding man. He will punish his sister in the cause of justice. After all, the one who has a blood relationship with him is your unborn kid, not his sister."
Lily grinned at Margaret and raised her eyebrows. "Tell us the truth. Are you pregnant?"
They wanted to ask Margaret the question for a long time.
Margaret slapped away Lily’s hand on her belly and took two steps back. She said in a low voice, "There is only poo inside."
"You’re so disgusting. You are not a noble lady."
Margaret shook her head. "A noble lady would not talk with women like you."
Then she covered her belly with her hands and ran away.
Lily stared at the fleeing figure and frowned slightly. "Don’t you think she deliberately said that to disgust us? She looked a little guilty."
Summer rolled her eyes.
"Did she look guilty? She’s definitely shy."
Lily nodded and asked seriously, "What do you think Mr. Jorgansen likes about her?"
Body, appearance, or family background?
Summer snorted in disdain and said firmly, "It must be her cheekiness."
Lily opened her eyes wide and nodded.
Margaret was cheeky enough to hook up with Julian.
It was no wonder that two years ago when Margaret was an assistant, she went to Mr. Jorgansen’s office every day to make coffee and massage his shoulders.
Back then, Lily and Summer were simply ashamed of her.
They finally found that Margaret was by no means stupid.
If she had not been cheeky, how could Julian notice her and get interested in her? "Mr. Jorgansen used to drive her out of the office every day. But now..."
Seeing Margaret called into Mr. Jorgansen’s office by Alan, Summer sighed. "He can’t even leave her for a while."
"They are so attached to each other!"
"I didn’t expect Mr. Jorgansen to be so clingy."
Lily hugged Summer and sighed.
They were almost sick with envy.
Alan stepped forward and looked at the two women hugging each other. He was stunned. "You are..."
Lily and Summer saw Alan’s puzzled gaze and rolled their eyes at the same time.
They spoke in unison.
"I’m full!"
"I’m full!"
Alan was even more confused. "It’s not time for lunch yet!
Margaret was standing in Julian’s office.
She held a cup of coffee and obediently placed it beside Julian. She pouted and whispered, "Coffee."
The tip of the pen in Julian’s hand stopped in the air. He looked up at the awkward Margaret.
He frowned. "Did you put something in it?"
Julian couldn’t think of another reason why Margaret behaved so differently.
Margaret was stunned and angry. "What do you mean? Do I look like a woman who wants to poison her husband and be a widow?"
"Yes."
Margaret was speechless.
"How dare you say that?" she thought.
"Forget it if you don’t want to drink."
Margaret was about to take the coffee back when Julian got hold of it. Julian glanced at her and said calmly, "Take a sip."
"Just leave it if you don’t want to drink. Don’t think about getting me to test it for you?"
Margaret regretted not having poisoned the coffee.
Seeing that Julian had no intention of letting go, Margaret puffed up her face and glared at him fiercely.
"I’ll try. If it’s not toxic, you will be a dead man."
Margaret looked extremely vicious.
Julian watched her pick up the cup and took a sip.
"Why don’t you observe me for a few days? What if I used a slow poison?" Perhaps the poison took some time to work.
Julian raised his eyebrows and said two words, "No need."
After that, he picked up the cup and took a sip with his lips on the glass rim where there was a red lipstick stain.
Margaret was stunned. She could still see the pink lipstick mark. Her face immediately turned red.
"You just got my lipstick over your lips."
Margaret lowered her head and said in a low voice. She clutched and twisted the corner of her clothes.
She swayed slightly like a shy girl.
Julian looked up at her and said airily, "Isn’t this a disguised kiss?"
This was what she read in those silly novels.
Margaret was stunned again.
Her face turned red and hot as if it was burning.
Although Julian was teasing her, she wasn’t angry at all.
On the contrary, she felt a trace of joy.
Was she obsessed with him?
