Mr. Tycoon's Beloved Wife: The Madam No One Dares to Offend

Chapter 405: You Are My Sweetest Honey

Chapter 405: You Are My Sweetest Honey

Seeing how Margaret shillyshally, Hilla couldn’t help but smile.

However, Margaret didn’t admit it, so Hilla didn’t say anything and just sighed.

"What else can we do? Mom wants you to have a child of your own. After that, her wish will be fulfilled. With the child, you will have a goal in life. Plus, you have the money now. Since you don’t like Julian, why not divorce him?"

Hilla said seriously in a low voice, but Margaret heard her clearly.

It was indeed her plan in the beginning.

She married Julian for all these benefits.

Now she had all the assets of Julian.

If she really had her own child, it would be perfect. With the baby and the money, and without Julian annoying her all the time, this should be the life she yearned for.

But she felt that something was wrong.

"We can’t just abandon him after exploiting him!"

"This is too cruel! If so, there is no difference between those selfish women and me."

Margaret muttered in a low voice, crushing the skirt of her clothes.

She continued to argue, "I’m a kind person. I can afford to provide for him. It’s not a bad idea to let him work for me."

After all, even if she had all Julian’s money now, she couldn’t just squander it. If she wanted to increase the value of the Jorgansen Group’s shares, she needed someone to run the company.

She couldn’t trust the company to those black sheep of the Jorgansen family. They would only make it worse.

After some thought, she felt that Julian was the right guy. He knew how to do business.

She didn’t kick him out because Julian could help her make more money.

"Margaret, if you think so, the Jorgansen family..."

"Is it about the child? It’s not a big deal. I’ll have one if I’m in a good mood."

Hilla was shocked. What did mood have to do with having children?

Hilla didn’t know if Margaret took her words on board.

However, she had already passed Orlenna’s message on to Margaret. There was no need to push Margaret anymore.

It was up to Margaret herself to decide whether to have children. If Margaret and Julian only wanted to have children because of the benefits they could get, it would be unfair to the baby.

As the mother of the two children, Hilla could genuinely feel how sad and heartbreaking it would be.

"Mrs. Jorgansen, Mr. Jorgansen is back."

Eula rushed in and spoke. But when she saw Hilla, she quickly stopped smiling and stood respectfully at the door.

After all, she couldn’t lose the face of the Jorgansen family in front of the guests. She couldn’t let Hilla think that the Jorgansen family’s servants didn’t know the rules. "So what? It’s no big deal."

Margaret waved her hand, pretending not to care at all. But she then looked out the window on the sly.

Through the transparent glass window, which was carefully cleaned, she could see the entire courtyard at a glance.

She could see Julian come out of the car and walk straight into the villa.

Julian was tall and slender. He walked in an upright posture. His noble disposition was distinctive even from a distance.

Although the Jorgansen family did not nurture Julian as their successor, Julian turned out to be excellent thanks to his own hard work.

It was quite a miracle that Julian turned out to be like this. He looked handsome and noble no matter what facial expressions did he have.

Margaret pursed her lips and couldn’t help but blush.

She lowered her head and said in an undertone, twisting the skirt of her clothes in her hand, "I bet Mom must have told him to come over for soup. Otherwise, he wouldn’t get off work so early."

Because of the appendix surgery, and with Orlenna here, Margaret had been staying at home very obediently these days and had no intention of going to the company.

What’s more, she was now the biggest shareholder of the Jorgansen Group. She didn’t need to go to the company. It was Julian’s job to run the company and make money.

With her status, there was no need for her to go to the company.

"Mrs. Jorgansen, it’s late. Should we head back?"

Eula lowered her head and asked in a low voice. She seemed to have seen through Margaret’s mind.

Margaret stole a glance at Hilla and then stood up from the sofa unhurriedly.

"It’s time for dinner. Hilla, are you hungry?"

Margaret looked at Hilla avidly, as if she would run back to the villa without any hesitation if Hilla said she was hungry.

Hilla said seriously, "The dinner is not ready yet. It should take a while for Mom to prepare the beef. I’m not hungry yet. I want to stay and rest for a while."

"You’re not hungry? Okay."

Margaret frowned and sat down again in disappointment. She secretly looked out of the window.

Hilla smiled and stopped teasing her.

She then said, "I want to spend a little more time reading here. There is still time before dinner. Do you want to go back to your room and take a shower?"

Margaret’s eyes lit up when she heard Hilla’s words.

She immediately stood up with a smile and nodded. "Yes, there’s still time to take a shower before dinner. Hilla, I’ll go back to my room first. I’ll call you in for dinner."

Hilla nodded and said with a smile, "Okay!"

Seeing Margaret leaving in a hurry, Hilla couldn’t help but burst into laughter.

She had thought that Margaret did not like Julian and their marriage was a disaster.

But now, she had changed her mind. It seemed Margaret cared about Julian a lot.

Judging from Margaret’s reaction, Hilla was now pretty sure Margaret liked Julian.

Margaret appeared to frown upon Julian, but she was still willing to stay by his side. She always scolded Julian, but her bark was worse than her bite. In the end, she gave in and chose to stay.

She was talking about having children for the Jorgansen family. But it was clear that she was doing this for Julian.

Hilla picked up the novel at the side to read. The smile on her face kept widening.

Her mission was completed.

As soon as Margaret entered the room, she saw Orlenna and Julian in the living room.

She quickly lowered her head and went upstairs.

Orlenna immediately saw Margaret, who had a guilty conscience. She inadvertently glanced at the soup bowl in Julian’s hand.

"Finish the soup before it gets cold. Or else, it will be fishy." Orlenna said indifferently, showing no passion to her son-in-law. She did it perfunctorily as she calmly sat down on the sofa.

Julian answered obediently and finished the entire bowl of soup.

Looking at the empty bowl, Orlenna had a nicer expression.

She then said in a deep voice, "How is your stepsister?"

Julian sat down beside Orlenna and poured himself a cup of coffee. "She’s okay. Although she lost a lot of blood, all her vitals are fine."

"No one wants to die in the best years of their life."

Orlenna said coldly. She did not intend to let go of Julian so easily.

"It’s my fault to make Margaret suffer. I will take care of Jessie personally."

"What are you going to do?"

Orlenna looked at Julian sharply.

Don’t try to fool your mother-in-law!

...

Julian looked at Orlenna and said, "Jessie is still young, so she needs to finish her studies. I have applied to a school abroad for her, and I hope that she will learn something there."

Julian’s intention was clear. He sent Jessie abroad, and then no one would know when and how she came back.

Julian’s way was neither good nor bad for Orlenna.

"The Jorgansens have raised Jessie for so many years, and she is like your younger sister, so be nice to her," Orlenna said.

Orlenna leaned over slightly. Seeing this, Julian poured a cup of black tea for her.

Orlenna drank it with satisfaction, although the tea was a little cold for her. Women preferred hot drinks for her age.

Putting down the cup, Orlenna said slowly, "Foreign countries are not bad, where the environment is good, and she can widen her horizons. I heard that young girls like Jessie are crazy about these places, where there are excellent young men from all over the world. What kind of man do your sister like? I have a nephew who is in the tropics now. Do you need my help?"

Orlenna raised her eyebrows, and her gaze fell on Julian’s face.

Julian was calm and silent, and his voice was respectful.

"Don’t worry, Mother. I will arrange it myself. Jessie was brought up by Sally and Aedan, so they will want to arrange it for Jessie," Julian said.

Orlenna agreed and looked up, saying, "Yes, they should. But you, as her brother, have to take it seriously. Marriage is a big deal. You can buy a house abroad as a gift for Jessie because the situation here is too complicated and dangerous for her."

"I understand," Julian said.

Seeing that Julian had agreed, Orlenna finally felt relaxed.

Orlenna grinned, looking particularly gentle and kind.

She stood up and said, "You have been busy all day. Margaret was looking for you just now. Put on something comfortable. The dinner is ready, and remember to bring Margaret down when you get changed."

Not everyone had the chance to have his mother-in-law cook for him.

Mother-in-law only cooked when she thought the world of her son-in-law.

Julian nodded and felt relieved when he was going upstairs.

Julian thought that Orlenna was more intimidating than those older shareholders in Julian’s company.

It was true that one mother-in-law was enough to drive one crazy.

In the bedroom.

Margaret was peeking out the door, and she opened the door in a hurry when she saw Eula come back.

"How is it? What are they talking about?" Margaret asked.

Eula gasped and said, "Mr. Jorgansen had some soup brought by her ladyship."

Margaret thought that Julian was supposed to eat anything Orlenna brought to him.

Even the soup was poisonous.

"What else?" Margaret asked again.

Julian still didn’t come back. They had talked for so long, so Margaret thought that Orlenna must have told him something secret.

She was so curious!

"I heard that her ladyship was telling Mr. Jorgansen that Miss Jorgansen is still young, so she is going to study abroad. And Mr. Jorgansen will buy a house for her." Eula added.

"What!"

Margaret stomped.

She couldn’t believe that.

Margaret thought that Orlenna and Julian were too kind to Jessie, which was unfair to her.

"It was Julian who said so? My mom must disagree with him, right?" Margaret said.

Eula shook her head sympathetically.

"Her ladyship said so, and she said that there are more excellent young men abroad. And once they buy a house for Jessie, she will never come back. And..." Eula said hesitantly.

"And?" Margaret couldn’t wait.

It indeed sounded like her mom.

"Her ladyship also said that she would introduce your cousin to Miss Jorgansen," Eula finally said.

Margaret thought that her mom was out of her mind. Jessie would show off in front of her one day if Jessie really married her cousin.

It was an insult for Margaret!

"Mrs. Jorgansen, in that case, you and Jessie will be cousins-in-law?" Eula said.

Margaret thought it ridiculous.

Eula frowned and said again, "Then in the future, are you two cousins-in-law or sisters-in-law?"

Margaret was overwhelmed by what Eula said.

"It seems a little complicated. Why wouldn’t her ladyship introduce someone from other families to Jessie? That will make things much easier," Eula said.

Margaret didn’t want to hear anything about this, so she looked impatient! "Mrs. Jorgansen, are you alright? Is it your appendix?" Eula asked. Seeing that Margaret grimaced, Eula was worried about her.

Margaret just had her appendix cut, so the pain might have something to do with that. Eula was thinking about if she should call for an ambulance.

"Leave me alone, "Margaret said.

She waved her hands.

She wanted Eula to leave now.

Eula was thinking about the ambulance thing, so she only heard "Allen." She asked, "Mrs. Jorgansen, have you forgotten? Allen asked for leave today and went home for a blind date!"

Eula thought that why Mrs. Jorgansen would want to find Allen now. Allen had only left for a week, and Mrs. Jorgansen couldn’t call Allen because they barely met.

Margaret was speechless.

"Mrs. Jorgansen, do I need to call Mr. Jorgansen over? You really look unwell," Eula said.

"No. He only makes things worse," Margaret said.

Margaret refused, and she was very unhappy.

If Julian had kept her distance from Jessie, Jessie would not have had a crush on him.

So Julian was the one to blame.

"Well, then I will go out. I will be there if you need me. Or if you miss Allen, I have his contact information," Eula said.

Margaret didn’t know what to say.

Eula left the room and was frightened when she turned around and saw Julian.

"M, Mr. Jorgansen, you are back," Eula greeted.

Then she lowered her head and ran away without waiting for Julian to speak.

Eula wanted to leave as soon as possible. She really freaked out.

Julian looked at Eula’s back and frowned.

Julian opened the door and met Margaret’s eyes. Margaret paused and then looked away with a snort.

"What did you eat today?" Julian asked.

He stepped forward, looking at Margaret’s indifferent face, and lifted her chin up.

"Soup, you can smell it," Margaret said.

She stood up and opened her mouth to him.

Margaret wanted to disgust Julian while Julian lowered his head.

He kissed her, and they two began to make out.

Every smell in their mouth mixed together, which disgusted Margaret.

She pushed Julian away and wiped her mouth, saying, "What did you eat? Disgusting."

Julian was not angry about Margaret’s reaction, and he said, "Mother’s soup." Margaret didn’t know what to say.

She just felt that his soup was different from hers.

She thought her soup was disgusting enough, but after tasting Julian’s, she finally found that Orlenna was kind to her.

"Isn’t the soup disgusting? How could you eat it," Margaret said.

Julian looked at her and said, "A little disgusting. But after kissing you, my mouth is full of the taste of honey."

After he said so, he pursed his lips as if he recalled the kiss just now. Then he said, "You are my sweetest honey."

Margaret’s face was burning. Julian was flirting with her, while Margaret felt so shy.
