Chapter 370: You Are Not Worthy of Julian
Chapter 370: You Are Not Worthy of Julian
...
Early in the morning, it was a great day.
The sun dispelled the cold night, and the air gradually became warm.
In the room, Margaret stretched out her arm, wanting to hug the man beside her.
The slightly cool blanket made her surprised. She looked around.
The man who was supposed to be sleeping next to her had disappeared. The curtains were half-drawn and a bright light shone through the curtains and on her fair skin.
The bathroom door opened. Julian glanced at Margaret on the bed and said, "It’s time to get up."
Margaret poked her head out and nudged the quilt without opening her eyes. "Why so early? I want to sleep for a while longer."
She was too tired last night. Julian was supposed to be more tired. Why did he get up so early?
She hugged the quilt tightly in her arms and wanted to sleep on this bed forever.
"Sure, if you want the whole Jorgansen family to know you are so lazy and sleep until noon, then you can continue to sleep."
Margaret seemed to stiffen for a moment and sat up from the bed the next second.
The blanket on her body slid down her shoulders, revealing her smooth and fair skin.
Her body was filled with red spots.
"That’s right. On the first day of marriage, we need to visit your mother."
The Jorgansen family had many rules, so before she went to bed last night, Orlenna called her and told her not to sleep late.
Julian looked at her. It was obvious that she was still sleepy and had not woken up yet.
He whispered, "You still remember that you are Mrs. Jorgansen now and you need to visit your mother-in-law. I should thank you for that."
It was early in the morning, and she didn’t want to hear Julian’s sarcasm. Margaret rolled her eyes at him unhappily.
"It’s really troublesome to marry you. You have so many rules in your family. I still have to visit your mother early on the first day of marriage."
Margaret was unwilling to get out of bed and she held the blanket in her arms tightly.
Why would she give up her sleep for this man?
"You don’t have to go. But you won’t get the money."
Julian took out a white shirt from the wardrobe and put it on quickly. He didn’t expect someone to help him clearly.
"Will they give me some money?"
Margaret was surprised, but soon she didn’t seem so excited. She muttered, "Even if they will, your family might not give me much."
Julian stood by the bed and buttoned his shirt. He did not look at her.
It seemed that he didn’t care about whether she went with him or not, and Margaret was not happy about that.
"Besides, my money was always taken away by you. What do I want their money for? I can’t spend money freely at all. Back then, you said how good it was to marry you. That didn’t seem to be true."
She was tired at night and didn’t sleep enough here. "The money given by the Jorgansen family is all yours."
After Julian said that, he walked to the bedside drawer and took out two wallets. "These are also yours."
Margaret felt that this man was trying to tempt her.
But she seemed to be tempted.
"Did you take some money from them?"
Margaret looked at the wallets in Julian’s hand eagerly. Looking at the bulging wallets, she felt that they were so cute.
How can there be such attractive things? The money in the wallet was so attractive.
Julian threw the two wallets onto the bed and said expressionlessly, "If you think it’s not enough, go to the Finance Department tomorrow and they will give you enough money you want."
Margaret held the wallets in her hand suspiciously. She opened it and took a closer look. She said with some uncertainty, "Are you really going to give them to me?"
Julian paused and looked up at her suddenly. He smiled.
His voice was calm as he said, "If you don’t want them, then you can give them back to me."
"I want them. They were mine."
Margaret smiled happily like a sunflower. She held the wallets in her hands tightly.
She looked at Julian suspiciously and said, "Don’t tell me you’re going to snatch them from me again."
"Do I need to snatch them? Even you are mine."
Julian also smiled happily, and Margaret decided not to retort him.
As long as she could have her money back and become a rich lady, she could ignore everything else.
"Since I married you, I have to obey the rules of your family. Besides, this is for my own good. Well, I will go with you."
After Margaret said that, she accepted the wallets happily and got up from the bed.
When she stood on the ground, she felt her legs were sore and frowned.
It was all Julian’s fault!
Margaret changed her clothes and applied delicate and simple makeup.
She looked in the mirror and saw she was still beautiful and graceful.
"I am so beautiful, but I married you."
Margaret turned around and glared at well-dressed and handsome Julian. She snorted and said unwillingly, "You are so fortunate to marry me."
Julian adjusted his tie and glanced at Margaret. Julian looked at Margaret and said with satisfaction, "I’m always fortunate."
"If you are not fortunate, how can you become the successor of the Jorgansen family?"
Margaret muttered and took out a bracelet from the cabinet.
"This bracelet doesn’t match your clothes."
Julian suddenly said and stopped Margaret from putting it on.
Margaret paused for a moment, then looked up and glared at him. "I think it just matches my clothes and I want it."
As she said that, she put on the bracelet and looked at Julian aggressively. "I will wear it."
Julian pursed his lips and said, "Up to you."
They drove back to the Jorgansen family’s mansion.
At this time, the sun was high in the sky, and it was still early.
This was the first time Margaret had got up so early, and she actually started to doze off in the car.
Fortunately, she only needed to get up so early once, or she couldn’t stand it.
Margaret encouraged herself in her heart. She needed to persist until they gave her the money.
If she had enough money, she could just dump Julian at any time.
They arrived at the Jorgansen’s mansion quickly, and the servants were already waiting at the door.
As soon as Julian’s car stopped, they all came up and opened the door.
Margaret looked at the courtyard that was illuminated by the sun in the early morning. It was a very delicate and quiet place.
The servant had already watered the garden, and the courtyard was filled with flowers and plants.
The gold-rimmed birdcage hanging in the corridor swayed gently, and the birds were singing happily.
The servant had already announced their arrival to the Jorgansen family.
When Margaret raised her head and saw that everyone in the room was looking at her, she suddenly felt shy. She blushed unconsciously and leaned behind Julian.
...
"They are here!"
Sophie glanced at Julian at the door and whispered in Marcos’s ear. Marcos frowned slightly and dodged her subconsciously.
Sophie felt a little embarrassed and looked at Brittany. She smiled and said, "Grandma, Julian and his wife are at the door now."
"It’s so impolite for them to come here so late."
Someone whispered. Jessie pulled at her mother’s clothes.
"Mom, don’t talk nonsense. Julian is not that kind of person. He must have been delayed because of something."
Jessie’s family had always been humble and they relied on the small estate for a living.
Although they were also members of the Jorgansen family, they did not have the same status as the other Jorgansens.
Jessie stole a glance at the figure at the door and bit her lower lip.
When Sally heard Jessie’s words, she said unwillingly in a low voice, "I know. Julian is not that kind of person, but Miss Anderson is from an aristocratic family. Now she marries Julian, I wonder how she will behave in the future."
"It’s the first day they get married, and she just let us all wait for her here."
When she thought about how Julian rejected her when she asked him to let Jessie work in the Jorgansen Group, she was especially unhappy.
No matter Marcos or Julian was in charge of the Jorgansen Group, they had to rely on them. It was humiliated, but they had no choice.
"Since they are here, let them in."
Brittany slightly opened her eyes. She played with the beads in her hand. Her eyes were dim-sighted but sharp.
The servant heard this and quickly went to inform Julian and Margaret quickly. "Mr. Jorgansen, Mrs. Jorgansen, Mrs. Walson invites you in."
Julian held Margaret’s hand and she felt warm and comfortable. Now she calmed down.
Margaret followed Julian slowly into the room.
In the Anderson family, they all sit together and it was always bustling. But the living room of the Jorgansen family seemed much more depressing.
The servants had already laid the carpet and waited for them.
Margaret also saw Marry here. Mary had always been on the mountain, and she returned.
It was the marriage of her son, so it was natural for her to come back.
The rules of the Jorgansen family were complicated. But Marry and Brittany gave Margaret a lot of money after that.
Holding the money in her hands, Margaret was really happy.
"Alright, everyone must be hungry now. Mother, let’s have breakfast."
Marry looked at Brittany and said.
She didn’t seem very happy. But Margaret could tell that she was anxious from her calm face.
It seemed that Marry also did not want to stay here for long.
Brittany nodded and said slowly, "Take a seat."
Only then did the Jorgansen family start to sit down and have breakfast.
Margaret was not fussy about her food, but she had no appetite at all now even she had a table full of delicate food.
The table was more than thirty feet long, but no one around the table spoke. They were almost all expressionless. In her family, Orlenna would scold her during the meal.
Margaret finally finished her meal and sighed in relief.
Fortunately, her mother-in-law had no interest in the newlywed couple and was too lazy to talk with them.
Brittany was tired and went back to her room after breakfast.
Margaret did not know how to get along with the rest of the elders. But Julian just ignored them and pulled her out.
Julian was now the successor of the Jorgansen Group and he could do whatever he wanted.
Even if they were elders, Julian could just ignore them.
"Are we leaving just like that?"
Margaret followed Julian and asked him happily.
After all, they were not her family members and she was happy to leave here.
"Mr. Jorgansen."
The butler hurried forward and whispered something near Julian’s ear. Julian’s face turned slightly cold and he loosened his grip on Margaret’s wrist.
"Wait for me in the car."
Julian said to Margaret before leaving.
Margaret blinked her eyes.
"Margaret."
Margaret heard a familiar voice. She turned to look at Andy and frowned subconsciously.
Was there something wrong with the Jorgansen family? She thought she was very familiar with him at all.
"Uncle Andy."
Margaret smiled and greeted him.
Andy glanced at Margaret and smiled. "Julian is so impolite. How can he just leave you here alone? He is not considerate at all."
"Alas, he is always like that. He never cares about women. If you have any difficulties in the future, you can just tell me. I will try my best to help you."
Andy smiled. It seemed that he cared about Margaret very much and wanted to help her.
But Margaret just felt that he was so annoying.
She wondered why Andy would say something so sarcastic.
Did he want to care about her or did he try to make her divorce Julian?
"Thank you for your concern, Uncle Andy. I’m really independent and don’t like clingy and shameless men, especially those who are hypocritical and show concern just to flatter the Anderson family."
"That kind of man is so shameless. I will keep an eye on them."
As Margaret said that, she could see that Andy’s expression became awkward.
The smile was frozen on his face.
He knew that Margaret was scolding him for being shameless.
However, Margaret smiled sincerely and thanked him.
"Uncle Andy is so nice. You care about us so much. You must love Julian very much. I know you are concerned about him so much that you are also concerned about me now. If you have a girlfriend later, I might be jealous of her to have such a nice boyfriend."
"Uncle Andy, are you leaving now? Hurry up and get in the car. I have to wait for my husband and have no time to talk to you."
As Margaret said that, she quickly made room for him.
Andy’s expression froze again. He walked past her with a gloomy expression.
Seeing that he had left, Margaret heaved a sigh of relief.
This man was so annoying and she didn’t feel well after talking with him. "Why are you still here?"
Margaret heard a gentle voice from behind her.
Margaret turned around and saw Jessie. Margaret smiled and nodded at her.
But Jessie’s expression was cold. She looked at Margaret and said, "If you are not from the Anderson family, you would not be worthy of Julian."
Hearing that, Margaret was stunned.
She sized Jessie up and sneered, "Now, it’s Julian who is not worthy of me!"
