Chapter 332: I Will Still Accept You
Chapter 332: I Will Still Accept You
...
At the entrance of the kindergarten.
Emily hugged Horton’s leg and said sweetly, "Dad, we learned new handicrafts and bought new colored mud today. I make you a little rabbit at night, okay?"
Looking gently at Emily whose cheek was slightly pink, Horton bent down and picked up her.
The teacher beside them looked at Horton and flushed. He was too elegant and handsome.
She said shyly, "Emily is very smart. Her handiwork is the best in our class. She said that she would give her handiwork to her dad."
She didn’t expect that Emily’s dad would be so outstanding and tall.
This was the first time the teacher saw Horton. She remembered that Emily’s parents divorced. This man should be her new father!
"Thank you, Emily."
Horton looked at the sweet girl in his arms and could not help but reach out and rub Emily’s hair.
Emily touched her messy hair and pouted. She looked up and suddenly found Halle standing not far away. She called happily, "Mom, you come to pick me up!"
"You both come today. I’m so happy."
Horton turned around and saw Halle slowly walking over.
The water -blue dress she wore wrapped around her beautiful body. At the end of the dress was the peony that Halle had embroidered. As she moved, the dress looked more beautiful with the peony.
Horton was stunned for a moment. Halle had walked up to him and looked at Emily in his arms. She said gently, "You’re not little. Why are you still letting dad carry you? He just got off work. He is very tired now."
Halle wanted to take Emily out of his arms.
But Horton dodged. He smiled more gently and dotingly. "It doesn’t matter. Emily is not heavy.
"You came."
Horton coughed and felt his throat dry when he spoke. His eyes became deep.
Halle responded and looked at the teacher to thank her.
The teacher felt a little embarrassed. She hurriedly said goodbye and left.
Sitting in Horton’s car, Halle could not help but say, "Why are you here today? Aren’t you busy with your work?"
Horton seemed to be quite idle. He always went out early and came back late as the director of the hospital before. These two days, he went out very late and came back also very late. Sometimes, he even slept in the hospital.
This made their family spend a lot less time together.
"It’s raining. I was afraid that it would be inconvenient for you to pick her up, so I came. I was in a hurry and forgot to tell you."
Horton replied naturally. He leaned over and fastened Halle’s seatbelt.
Halle uneasily leaned against the car door and nodded. She said gratefully, "The rain today is heavy. Thank you."
After she finished, she realized that she seemed to be too polite and regretted saying that.
However, there was no way to take it back. Seeing that Horton didn’t care, she gave up explaining to him.
"Hilla invited us to dinner tonight. Do you want to go?" Halle looked at Horton and asked.
The dinner was about Margaret’s wedding.
The Anderson family was very famous. Margaret was also the only daughter of the Andersons. They had many things to do.
Horton agreed, and they quickly drove to the Anderson family villa.
Today, the Anderson’s became somewhat lively because of Margaret’s return.
As soon as Margaret entered, she clamored to cancel the engagement.
Hilla pulled her at the side, but Margaret shook her off. Hilla could only block Margaret behind her. She looked nervously at Orlenna, who was sitting on the sofa with a fake smile.
She felt that Margaret was going to be beaten up.
Then she looked at Julian, who was at the side, calm and reserved, as if the person Margaret wanted to break off the engagement was not him.
"Darling, what did you say?"
Orlenna smiled elegantly. Her gaze went straight through Hilla and fell on Margaret, who was terrified behind Hilla.
How did her daughter dare to be so ungracious in public?
Margaret met Orlenna’s gaze. She quickly recoiled in horror and nervously pulled Hilla in front of her.
Orlenna’s smile was too terrifying, and what was even more terrifying was that she called her ’darling’.
That was too sappy and horrifying. She couldn’t help trembling.
"I only think the wedding is too troublesome. Mom, take care of yourself."
Margaret flattered in a low voice. Hilla felt she even got goosebumps when she heard that. She leaned sideways and sat down on the sofa at the side.
Seeing this, Margaret quickly sat down next to Hilla and squeezed herself into the corner of Hilla and the armrest.
If Orlenna rushed over later, Hilla would be able to block her. Hilla was agile.
Moreover, Orlenna didn’t dare to hit her daughter-in-law.
"You are my only daughter. I don’t mind the trouble."
After the wedding, she would be Julian’s.
Margaret interpreted Orlenna’s words in her heart, and the resentment in her heart became stronger.
She was too miserable. Why did she have to marry someone she hated for her family?
Back then, she didn’t expect that she would live such a difficult life.
"Mother, Margaret didn’t come back often. There are also many people here today. Let the chef prepare a few more dishes."
Hilla said quickly, and Orlenna’s face looked a little better. She responded, got up, and walked to the kitchen.
Margaret heaved a sigh of relief and whispered, "I’m so scared just now. I thought Orlenna would cut me with a knife."
"Don’t talk nonsense. Mother won’t do this to you."
Margaret didn’t know what to say.
Should she be blamed for talking nonsense? Orlenna was so terrifying just now.
"I’m going to see the children. Sit here for a while. Mother will be out in the kitchen soon."
Having said that, Hilla pulled off Margaret’s hand and quickly went upstairs, ignoring Margaret’s pleading eyes.
Only Margaret and Julian were in the living room now.
Margaret thought of what Hilla had said. She frowned and approached Julian, staring at him.
Julian was originally calm, but when he saw Margaret approaching, he raised his eyebrows slightly. When Margaret aggressively arrived in front of him, he stared at her and softly said, "Are you trying to annoy me?"
Margaret looked at Julian with a strange expression and then slowly whispered, "Julian, do you like me?"
Julian was stunned and stared at Margaret’s face.
After a long while, Julian sneered. "Do you think I am blind?"
Margaret was speechless.
She thought, "Yes, you are not blind. You are a bastard!"
...
When Hilla came down, Halle and Horton had just arrived with Emily.
Emily ran to her happily as soon as she entered the door and bounced around her feet. "Hilla, I want to see the babies."
Hilla smiled and gently touched Emily’s little face, letting Halle take her upstairs.
Horton sat down and chatted with Bruce and Julian in the living room. Orlenna stepped forward and pulled Margaret.
"Go and get the dishes. Lazy girl!"
Margaret said in dissatisfaction as being disliked for no reason, "We have so many servants. Why me?"
She was the princess of the Anderson family! Being like a servant in front of Julian was humiliating!
She took a bite of the apple on the coffee table and retorted, "I’m not going."
Having rolled her eyes at Margaret, Orlenna snatched her apple and said, "Why are you eating all day? You could probably not fit in your wedding dress!"
"That’s great! Then I won’t be getting married."
If she could skip the wedding because of failing to fit in the wedding dress, she would rather turn herself to be a fatty.
Orlenna was pissed off. Taking into account the other people here, she could only lower her voice with a straight face, "If you can’t fit in the wedding dress, I’ll have Bruce get someone to send you away in a quilt."
Knowing that Margaret didn’t agree with this marriage, Orlenna was a little helpless.
Sometimes, she regretted getting Margaret into the Jorgansens. She shouldn’t have required Julian to get married to Margaret without further consideration.
If Julian was not a good guy, with her personality, Margaret would surely suffer a lot.
Thinking of this, the way Orlenna looked at Margaret softened, she then went to the kitchen after a few more muttering.
Seeing Margaret pick up another apple proudly and begin to eat, Horton turned to her and said, "You did gain some weight."
Hearing this, Margaret couldn’t help paused and frown as she looked at Horton before she turned her gaze back at herself in disbelief.
It must be his fault! He had cooked so much recently! He must be doing this so that people would laugh at her for getting fat!
Holy moly!
Margaret threw the apple that she had just taken a bite back onto the table as if
something had just slipped through her mind. Suddenly, she hugged Horton’s arm and leaned forward, "Do you know that there is a physical examination that can prevent people from getting married?"
Horton was slightly stunned and subconsciously replied, "Marriage test?" Margaret’s eyes lit up and she nodded vigorously.
"Everyone has to do it before marriage, right? You can give me a notice of incurable disease."
Horton looked at her with probing eyes, "Are you sick?"
Margaret immediately nodded, "I am!"
Horton couldn’t help pursing his lips and when he looked up, he happened to see Julian’s expressionless face.
He fixed his eyes on Margaret’s arms, which were tightly hugging Horton. They looked so intimate that if Margaret moved a little closer, her breasts would be able to touch Horton’s arm.
Caught the meaning of his eyes, Horton pulled his arm out of Margaret’s embrace at once and leaned towards Bruce as fast as possible.
It really was unnecessary to be so close!
Horton guiltily looked around for Halle. Glad that she did not see it.
"You should see the doctor if you have any illnesses. Which department do you want to see? I’ll make an appointment with the doctor for you."
After Horton finished, he quickly got up and said, "I’ll get Halle and the others to come down for dinner."
Didn’t get what she wanted, Margaret could not help but say, "Why are you running? Are you going to do help me?"
The Jorgansen family would definitely not let her in if she had an incurable disease!
As Orlenna came out of the kitchen and saw the three sitting on the sofa, she frowned and called Bruce over.
He was not supposed to be the third wheel here!
All of a sudden, there was only a young couple left in the living room.
Julian sat quietly on the sofa opposite her. When Margaret was about to leave, he slowly said, "Do you want to break off the engagement so badly? Are you unwilling to marry me?"
Margaret sat back on the sofa and she turned to Julian with a face full of disgust. "I am more than unwilling to marry an irresponsible playboy like you!" Julian looked up at Margaret’s face coldly and sneered.
"I never expect that you to be so eloquent. The Anderson family did the right thing to get you educated in college for six years!"
The last thing that she wanted to talk about throughout her life was her studies!
She had tried so hard to get graduated and get rid of Orlenna’s scolding! Now, he was bringing it up again!
"It’s not my fault for not learning well! How can you blame me for my bad memory? Those subjects are difficult!"
To Margaret, the days in university were just unbearable memories. This stain in her life would accompany her for a lifetime. Why didn’t Bruce spend some money back then to get her graduated earlier?
It was so hard for her to get enough credits by herself!
"Oh, so it’s the fault of those professors and books."
Julian sneered and continued before Margaret could speak, "You made it right to turn to Horton for help!"
Margaret stared at Julian with puzzlement. This man would never say anything pleasing to the ear.
As expected, Julian said with understanding, "The department of brain surgery is a good choice. Mr. Hutt is an authority in this field indeed."
He meant she should take a detailed examination of her brain.
Margaret felt like she was having a heart attack.
"But it doesn’t matter even if you have brain cancer. I will still accept you."
Margaret took a deep breath hearing this and felt deeply irritated.
What was wrong with him?
She was the one who disliked him!
The three men chatted happily at dinner. Halle was taking care of Emily.
Looking at Margaret being angry there, Hilla couldn’t help but ask in a low voice, "What’s wrong with you?"
Hilla couldn’t continue the dinner seeing Margaret being like this.
Margaret lifted her head and glared at Julian sitting opposite.
He was having a great time chatting with Bruce. Every movement of him was elegant and steady.
That handsome face with the half-smile was like that of a god.
His gaze swept across her face coldly.
Margaret gritted her teeth angrily, "Damn it! You don’t like me? Are you blind? Screw
you!"
"If I have the brain cancer? What about you? Late-stage stupid poser! Such a good bastard gene, you should remain single for the rest of your life!"
Hearing Margaret’s self -talking, Hilla remained silent as she was afraid that she would be cursed in the same way if she inadvertently irritated Margaret.
