Chapter 610 - 609: Kindred Spirits

Ethan Grant asked softly while keeping his eyes on Mr. Sterling’s reaction.

And just as Ethan expected, when Mr. Sterling heard this, his back shivered slightly.

Mr. Sterling slowly turned around, a hint of pain appearing deep in his eyes.

He had done his utmost to "bury" the events of twenty years ago, so much so that after Claire returned to Solaria, she could live peacefully for so many years.

"Let’s go!"

After looking at Ethan for a while, Mr. Sterling spoke indifferently, still not giving an answer.

He turned around and reached out to open the door first.

As soon as Serena Sullivan left the private room, Wyatt Sterling immediately followed her out.

In a few steps, he caught up with Serena and then reached out to grab Serena’s wheelchair.

Under Mr. Sterling’s influence, Serena’s mood wasn’t great, and she wanted to go out for some fresh air.

She didn’t speak, so Wyatt pushed her into the elevator.

"Serena, Dad invited Ethan Grant for a meal, not to oppose you two."

Wyatt spoke on behalf of Mr. Sterling.

Serena didn’t respond. She raised her head to look at the scenery beyond the streetlight, just about to ask Wyatt to push her around the area, the wheelchair started moving.

This kind of tacit understanding, Serena turned her head to look at Wyatt.

She hadn’t said anything, yet he knew. Could it be because they’re siblings?

"I don’t know why either, but when I see you, I can guess what you’re thinking!"

Wyatt laughed and once again spoke what was on Serena’s mind.

"Alright!"

Serena responded, the mutual understanding between her and Wyatt was something others hadn’t experienced.

"Serena," Wyatt continued, "the matter between you and Ethan Grant is basically settled; Dad’s opposition is useless."

That’s why if Mr. Sterling wanted to oppose, he would have done so long ago.

Inviting them for dinner now is pointless!

"Hasn’t he opposed before?"

Serena said in a calm voice, "Wasn’t he thinking of having Felicity Sterling marry Ethan Grant?"

When they were in Solaria, Mr. Sterling brought Mrs. Sterling and Felicity to come and go from The Grant Family frequently; he stepped on her while elevating Felicity. Serena hasn’t forgotten these things.

She holds grudges like that!

"Hmm..."

Wyatt responded, dragging out his voice, it seemed like he wanted Felicity to marry Ethan Grant, but now Mr. Sterling hasn’t mentioned it, yet Mrs. Sterling still wants to.

"Dad doesn’t truly want Felicity to marry Ethan Grant."

"Besides, Ethan Grant isn’t necessarily that great!"

Wyatt thought for a while and said.

Ethan is good, but that’s because he’s good to Serena.

Wyatt couldn’t understand why Felicity is set on Ethan Grant.

In Imperial Capital, there are so many men,

"Serena, I think Dad cares about you."

Wyatt continued.

Serena smiled at Wyatt, "Whether he loves me or not, I don’t know!"

"But what I do know is that he’s the one who abandoned Mom and me."

This matter is a hurdle Serena can’t get over in her heart and is much more severe than when Claire broke with Joel Quinn for his daughter.

At least in those days, Claire diligently nurtured her, playing the role of both father and mother, raising her to adulthood.

Without Claire, there wouldn’t be Serena’s existence.

As for Mr. Sterling?

Wyatt was silent, not knowing what to say!

He isn’t Serena and hasn’t been abandoned by Mr. Sterling, so he doesn’t know how to persuade her.

"Serena!"
