Chapter 596 - 595: She Is My Daughter
Chapter 596 - 595: She Is My Daughter
Felicity Sterling’s voice quivered, and Wyatt Sterling’s words had hit her.
Last time, she had declared war on Serena Sullivan, but hadn’t contacted Ethan Grant since.
In truth, she was afraid of meeting Ethan Grant.
A man who doesn’t love her, when seeing her cling to him, wouldn’t offer even half a smile but would instead be as cold as ice, and at times would get angry and humiliate her.
These humiliations were of her own making.
Felicity Sterling was too afraid to speak, and as Mrs. Sterling approached, Mr. Sterling called out to her,
"June!"
Mrs. Sterling stopped, tears once again falling from her eyes, truly feeling wronged.
Everything she did was for her husband and daughter, why couldn’t they understand!
"Brother Simon, for the sake of our daughter and the Sterling Family, I ask you to seriously consider this matter."
Mrs. Sterling spoke softly, her voice laced with tears.
"I will not agree to this matter."
After hearing Mrs. Sterling’s long speech, even playing the emotional card, Mr. Sterling’s response was extremely firm, and his gaze was cold, without a trace of warmth.
"I advise your mother and the Ford Family to give up on this."
Simon Sterling’s opposition made Mrs. Sterling clench her fists, gritting her teeth, she clearly and sarcastically asked, "Simon Sterling, you actually disagree!"
"How can you disagree!"
"What is Serena Sullivan to you, that you’d disregard Felicity and my concerns, and insist on considering hers!"
Mrs. Sterling questioned. Serena had acknowledged James Sterling as her father, and Simon Sterling was just her uncle.
"She is my daughter!"
No one expected that after Mrs. Sterling spoke, Mr. Sterling looked at her coldly and said calmly.
His words, though not as loud as Mrs. Sterling’s, were spoken with great force, and they floated gently on the wind into Wyatt Sterling’s ears and heart.
He stared at Mr. Sterling, had he heard wrong?
Felicity knew, having heard Mr. Sterling reveal Serena Sullivan’s background, was just astonished.
"She is my biological daughter!"
Simon Sterling added, "June, is this reason enough?"
"I have the right to decide her matters."
Simon Sterling dropped this sentence, turned, and went upstairs.
Mrs. Sterling remained in the living room, shaken as Mr. Sterling revealed Serena Sullivan’s background in front of the housemaids and Wyatt Sterling. She collapsed to the ground.
"Mom!"
Felicity rushed to help Mrs. Sterling up and onto the sofa.
Mrs. Sterling grasped Felicity’s hand, murmuring.
Mr. Sterling had the courage to acknowledge Serena today, and would surely do so again.
In this way, Serena would return to this home, potentially replacing Felicity. The more Mrs. Sterling thought about it, the more chaotic, fearful, and pale she became.
Similarly, Wyatt Sterling stood in the living room, thinking deeply. He looked up toward the second floor at Mr. Sterling’s retreating figure, then followed him.
Mr. Sterling entered the study; he spent far more time there than in the master bedroom. Just as he was about to take out a cigarette, Wyatt knocked and entered, "Dad, is she really your daughter?"
Mr. Sterling turned and saw Wyatt’s pale face, filled with confusion as he looked at him.
"Yes!"
Mr. Sterling admitted frankly.
As he spoke, he lit a cigarette, his fingers inexplicably trembling.
He had never intended to hide Serena Sullivan’s background from everyone, but he was quite scared, afraid that Wyatt might know.
Even more afraid that Wyatt might know he and Serena were full siblings.
In such a case, he didn’t know how to face it!
"Is it with Aunt Serena?"
Wyatt asked again.
