Chapter 1134 - 1129: Shameless Men Deserve a Lesson

"I’m at the company, your task is done!" Sophia Hamilton found an empty spot to park the car, turned to look at Evander Lancaster, and although he had been teasing her along the way, there was not a trace of anger on her face.Evander Lancaster raised an eyebrow, unbuckled his seatbelt, pushed open the passenger door, and climbed out of the QQ. His tall stature made it truly uncomfortable to be cramped in such a small space.

He stretched his arms and looked around. He had been to the underground parking lot beneath his brother’s company office building countless times.

Sophia Hamilton also got out from the driver’s seat, holding the signed document in one hand, and after slamming the car door, she said to Evander Lancaster with a half-smile, "You brought me back safely, should I thank you?"

Evander Lancaster turned around, raised his eyebrows, and retorted, "Thank me? How do you plan to thank me? Treat me to a meal or offer yourself to me?"

Sophia Hamilton held the document in one hand, smiling as she beckoned him over with a finger, "Come here, I’ll tell you."

Even though he knew Sophia Hamilton was up to something, Evander Lancaster still walked over, slightly leaning to one side to listen. Sophia Hamilton squinted her eyes with a cold smile, then swung her fist at Evander Lancaster’s handsome face.

This shameless man needed a lesson, making sure he got a black eye to see if he still had the face to meet people!

When Sophia Hamilton swung her fist, Evander Lancaster could have dodged, but he deliberately pretended to be slow to react, clutching the hit spot and "painfully" howling.

"Hmph!" Sophia Hamilton snorted coldly, "Don’t think you can do whatever you want just because you’re the CEO’s brother. I’m telling you, if you dare to act like a rogue again, I’ll teach you a lesson!"

After throwing out those harsh words, Sophia Hamilton left with her document, chin raised arrogantly. Evander Lancaster rubbed his punched eye corner and hissed, watching Sophia Hamilton’s departing back with a determined smile, "Little firecracker, you’ve got quite the punch. One day, I’ll make you submit to me!"

Back at the hospital, Evander Lancaster treated the wound on his face in front of a mirror. His left eye corner had a torn piece of skin and was already swollen; it seemed it would take a long time to heal.

As a surgeon, Evander Lancaster knew that cold compresses could help the swelling dissipate faster. He tossed aside the cotton swab, planning to get some ice from the medical room. However, when he reached the office door, he turned back; no, he couldn’t let the bruise heal too quickly. He had to make something of it, couldn’t let that punch go to waste.

The next day, there was a surgery scheduled. After finishing the surgery in the morning, Evander Lancaster took the rest of the day off, first filling his stomach and then driving straight to Nathan Moore’s company.

As Nathan’s good friend, the employees at the front desk were familiar with him. He took the exclusive CEO elevator directly to the floor of the CEO’s office. As he stepped out of the elevator, he saw the petite figure sitting behind the secretary’s desk from a distance.

Evander Lancaster pulled a smile at the corner of his lips and leisurely walked over to the secretary’s desk.

It was lunchtime, and Sophia Hamilton, having had her lunch, was playing a game at her desk. Hearing footsteps approaching, she thought it was her CEO, quickly hiding her phone behind her and standing up properly.

Seeing it was the scumbag she had hit yesterday, Sophia Hamilton shot him an annoyed look and sat back down to continue her game. Seeing her character had been killed and her teammates were fighting the opponents while cursing, she grumbled unhappily, "Jinx, nothing good ever happens when I see you!"

"Little firecracker, are you calling me the jinx?" Evander Lancaster casually approached, placing his hands on the secretary’s desk.

"Hmph! You’re smart!" Sophia Hamilton tossed her phone forward, sneering disdainfully.

Evander Lancaster reached over the secretary’s desk with his long arms, about to grab it when Sophia Hamilton swiftly snatched it back, "What are you doing! Don’t touch my phone!"

"Tsk tsk, such a precious domestic product!" Evander Lancaster retracted his hand and pouted disdainfully, placing both hands on the secretary’s desk, his phoenix eyes still lingering on the screen of Sophia Hamilton’s phone, curious about what game she was playing.

Her ears pricked up at his careless words, and Sophia Hamilton flared up instantly, putting her domestic phone into her pocket, slamming the table, standing up and glaring at Evander Lancaster defiantly, "What’s wrong with domestic products? Can’t they be used? You’re domestically made yourself, and I haven’t seen you ashamed of it!"

Evander Lancaster...

He truly didn’t mean to look down on domestic products; it was just an offhand remark because he hadn’t seen what she was playing. Who knew this little firecracker would be so sensitive?

With laughter in his phoenix eyes, he met Sophia Hamilton’s angry expression with a half-smile, "How do you know I’m domestically made? Have you verified it?"

If this sentence came from someone else, Sophia Hamilton wouldn’t think much of it. But having been harassed by him through his position before and having had him take verbal advantage yesterday, Sophia Hamilton instantly understood what Evander Lancaster intended to convey.

Glaring at him furiously, as Evander Lancaster raised his eyebrows proudly, his phoenix eyes lifted along, which tugged at the bruise on his left eye corner, making him hiss in pain as he gently rubbed it.

Sophia Hamilton then noticed the spot on Evander Lancaster’s face where she had hit him; no longer with an angry expression, she looked proud, "You really have a sharp tongue, despite having been taught a lesson, you just don’t learn!"

Evander Lancaster rubbed the injury on his eye corner, asking with a half-smile, "Little firecracker, if you hadn’t mentioned it, I would have forgotten. Do you know why I came to the company?"

"What you came for is none of my business!" Sophia Hamilton sat back down with a thud, taking out her phone and fiddling with it, while Evander Lancaster lowered his gaze for a peek. It turned out she was playing Honor of Kings earlier.

His gaze fell on Sophia Hamilton’s phone, noting the character in her game, and he lightly tapped the corner of his eye and continued, "Hey, you hurt me, and now I’m here demanding compensation."

"Hmph, dream on!" Sophia Hamilton started playing her game again, not even lifting her head as she scoffed.

Evander Lancaster watched her skillful movements and continued, "Little pepper, how can you be so unreasonable? Last time, you crashed into my car and solved it with just a peck..."

Sophia Hamilton...

She suddenly lifted her gaze to glare at Evander Lancaster for his comment about "solving it with a peck," but he continued, "Although I spent quite a bit of Silver, I accepted it. After all, I did get something tangible. But this time? How do you plan to compensate me? Just look at it yourself!"

Evander Lancaster leaned his handsome face closer, pointing at his swollen area with his finger, "I could have relied on my looks to make a living, but now you’ve beaten me like this, how can I find a woman?"

"Oh! Relying on your looks to make a living? You wouldn’t happen to be moonlighting as a gigolo!" Before Evander Lancaster could finish speaking, Sophia Hamilton interjected with sarcasm, her lips and brows unabashedly mocking, giving him a glance and continuing to ridicule, "No wonder you’re so fragile, even a woman could beat you."

Evander Lancaster...

Can he say he was deeply hurt?

He’s frail? It’s only because you didn’t see the true picture beneath his jacket!

He looks slim with clothes on but muscular without, okay?

Fine, wait for the day when he pins her beneath him; she’ll know if he’s really frail, or the "fragile little frame" she calls him!

He leaned his arms over the secretary desk, matching Sophia Hamilton’s mocking gaze, but Evander Lancaster didn’t get angry, he smiled instead, "Little pepper, I’m going easy on you, otherwise with your height, you wouldn’t even reach my chin."

"Ha, brag away!" Sophia Hamilton scoffed disdainfully, lowering her head to continue playing on her phone.

Seeing that Sophia Hamilton had stopped paying any attention to him, Evander Lancaster continued with his persistent nagging. After all, it was his day off, and going back to the apartment alone was boring, so he might as well spar verbally with this little pepper to kill time.

"Hey hey, little pepper, now how are you going to solve the fact that you injured me? Don’t pretend to be deaf and mute."

Sophia Hamilton buried her head in her phone, treating Evander Lancaster like air,

"How about this, I give you a chance to redeem yourself—you pretend to be my girlfriend and come with me home over the weekend to meet my parents,"

Sophia Hamilton shot him a contemptuous look.

"Or you could help me massage it, that would at least ease the trauma left on my tender little heart," Evander Lancaster leaned over the secretary desk, half his body jutting over, as Sophia Hamilton continued playing her phone, leaning back and calmly said without lifting her eyelids, "Don’t blame me for not warning you, there’s surveillance installed in the corridor."

"So what?" Evander Lancaster asked with a faint smile, his handsome face almost pressing against hers, "Don’t forget, the CEO is my second brother!"

Sophia Hamilton scoffed inwardly, thinking, spoiled brat relying on connections. Fortunately, the CEO isn’t as thick-skinned as his brother; otherwise, her job wouldn’t last long.

"Hey, little pepper, be my woman, let me tell you, I..."

"Evander? What are you doing here? Aren’t there patients at the hospital..." Before Evander Lancaster could finish speaking, Titus Zane’s voice rang out as he walked over quickly from the direction of the elevator, his European eyes filled with gossip.

Evander Lancaster turned around, leaning against the secretary desk, smiling as he greeted Titus Zane, "Sister-in-law, you’re here too."

"Your face..." Titus Zane pointed at Evander Lancaster’s eye area, hesitantly asking. Inside the secretary desk, upon hearing Titus Zane’s voice, Sophia Hamilton quickly put away her phone, pulling out a file pretending to read it, and upon hearing his question, a smug smile spread across her lips.

Evander Lancaster touched his bruised eye, nonchalantly saying, "Oh, it’s nothing," then looked past Titus Zane towards the man walking leisurely behind him, and asked, "Nathan, I was beaten up, should I call the police or settle this privately?"

Nathan Moore glanced at Evander Lancaster’s bruised eye, then looked at the secretary behind the desk pretending to read files, and coldly said, "Your business, decide yourself!"

With that, grabbing Titus Zane’s wrist, Nathan Moore walked into his office. He was too lazy to care about their matters.

A tall and strong man; unless intentional, how could a little girl beat him up?

But speaking of it, it’s rare for the fourth brother to actively pursue a woman. In all these years, he hasn’t had a girlfriend. If it weren’t for their closeness, one might have misunderstood that he didn’t like women.
