A cold tension filled the air.
"Daniel..." Kate's voice trembled as she watched him walk away. Despair filled her eyes.
The room spun around her. Then, everything went black.
Ashton had been too busy enjoying his food to care about the drama. But when he saw his boss leaving, he quickly ran after him.
"Sir, Ms. Bently just fainted..." Ashton panted, struggling to keep up with his pace.
The night had taken an unexpected turn.
"Have her taken to the hospital. Contact the Bentlys," Daniel ordered in a firm voice.
"Yes, sir!" Ashton answered without hesitation.
"Also, investigate this matter thoroughly," Daniel added.
His sharp eyes flicked toward the VIP table where Chantelle had been sitting.
She was gone.
Perfect timing, he thought.
"Sir, do you think someone is pulling strings behind the scenes?" Ashton asked, intrigued.
"It's obvious. Look into Kate and Chantelle's connection as well," Daniel instructed.
Something told him Chantelle was deeply involved in this mess.

Chantelle watched as Kate lay unconscious on the ballroom stage.
A satisfied smirk played on her lips.
Mission accomplished.
Without lingering, she slipped out of the hotel and boarded her helicopter back to Western Hill Villa.
Back home, she made herself a steaming cup of hot chocolate.
The house was quiet. Railer was still asleep. She settled beside his bed, sipping her drink while watching the live broadcast of the gala.
She knew Railer would panic if he woke up and didn't see her nearby.
An official announcement about the charity dinner's postponement was broadcast live. Social media exploded with headlines about the incident.

Kane grinned, completely unaware of someone sneaking up behind him.

Instantly, he was lifted off the ground and dangled upside down.
"Who holds me?!" Kane shouted, fuming as his milk spilled all over the floor.
He spun midair a few times before finally getting a clear look at his attacker.
Kane didn't like the look of the middle-aged woman. Her thick makeup and perfect skin didn't make her any less unpleasant.
He had never seen her before.
"You've gotten bold, brat. Kate might let you off easily, but I won't. Where's the hundred million dollars? Hand it over, or I'll drop you right now!"
Ruby had come looking for Daniel, but he wasn't home. Instead, she found this boy enjoying a video of her daughter being humiliated.
Furious, she grabbed Kane and carried him toward the balcony.
