Chapter 1035: No Matter the Cost, I’m Willing

He was relieved to confirm she hadn’t heard what he said just now.

"Alright!"

He replied, wringing out the towel before holding up his mother’s other hand to wipe.

Once he was almost finished, Mo Han paused, looked at her earnest expression, and tentatively asked, "With Aunt staying in the hospital and needing monthly medical fees, don’t you feel exhausted?"

Qin Yin smiled bitterly and replied, "I don’t feel tired. No matter how much money I spend, I’ll be satisfied as long as she wakes up."

Mo Han opened his mouth but couldn’t bring himself to say what was on his mind. He actually wanted to offer to help her and was willing to take care of her mother together. But he feared she’d refuse, and they might end up not even being friends!

The room fell silent, aside from the sound of the machines.

Qin Yin finished wiping one hand and was about to put it down to wipe the other when she suddenly felt her mother’s middle finger twitch...

Her mind exploded with excitement as she grabbed her mother’s hand and spoke with a chaotic tone, "Mo... Mo Han, just now, just now Mom’s hand moved!"

Mo Han was equally startled, standing up immediately and rushing over, "What did you say?"

"Mom’s hand moved; it moved just now!"

Her eyes were red, staring at him, as if trying her hardest to prove what she saw wasn’t a hallucination.

Mo Han grabbed her hand, scrutinizing it for a long time, but found nothing amiss, "Did you see it wrong? Aunt is clearly..."

Before he could finish speaking, Qin Yin threw herself onto her mother, her shoulders shaking like a greatly wronged child, tears streaming down her face.

"Mom, you’ve been sleeping for so long. Please, wake up and look at me just once! I’m your daughter, begging you to wake up and look at me! Wake up, and we’ll go home together. You promised that when I find someone I love, you’d be the first to approve!"

Upon hearing this, Mo Han was truly stunned. What did she just say? She said she found someone she loves. Who is it?

While he was bewildered, the palm he was holding suddenly moved again, and this time, Mo Han was astonished.

He hastily placed her hand back onto the bed and dashed out of the room.

When he returned, several doctors followed behind him, moving forward to pull Qin Yin aside.

"I’m sorry, could you please leave for now? We need to conduct an examination."

Qin Yin’s legs were too weak, and it was Mo Han who helped her sit in the corridor, her hands tightly gripping each other. For her, every minute and second now was torment...

Mo Han’s hand hesitated to extend but ultimately couldn’t place it on her shoulder. Silently, he sat beside her, offering his unspoken companionship.

The corridor was quiet. Nurses walked in and out, and after what seemed like ages, the door to the room was finally pushed open.

Qin Yin immediately rushed forward, anxiously asking, "Doctor, how is my mom?"

Her legs trembled violently; if not for Mo Han’s support, she might have collapsed onto the ground directly.

The doctor removed his framed glasses and sighed softly at first.

Mo Han and Qin Yin’s hearts were in their throats, staring at him without blinking.

"The patient has shown a response, which indicates that her organs are gradually recovering. It’s possible that in half a year, or a year, or even longer, she might wake up..."
