Chapter 1033: Did I Say Something?

Chapter 1033: Did I Say Something?

"No, I went to Rui’s house for dinner yesterday, drank a bit, so I got up late."

Upon hearing this, Li Xueru nodded slightly, then thought of something and continued, "Don’t drink too much when you have nothing to do. You’re so tall, what if Ayin can’t drag you?"

Mo Han: "..."

Am I possibly adopted by you?

"Got it." He replied, poured a glass of water, drank more than half, and was just planning to return to his room when Li Xueru called out to stop him.

"You and Ayin have been together for so long, living under the same roof, haven’t you thought about when to get married? How long do you expect your dad and me to wait? We’re eager to have a grandchild!"

Qin Yin came out of the room and happened to hear the last sentence, her cheeks flushed, and when she looked up, her gaze coincidentally met Mo Han’s.

Remembering the nonsense he said last night, the burning sensation on her face intensified, and she quickly diverted her gaze...

Mo Han felt odd but didn’t ask anything. After greeting his mother, he went into the room to freshen up.

Qin Yin stood in place for a while before calming her emotions and went into the kitchen to help.

In the middle of it, Qin Yin’s phone rang, and she went to the balcony to answer it.

When she returned, she happened to bump into Mo Han coming out of the room. Instinctively, she wanted to avoid him, but he seemed to sense something and blocked her path.

He stared at her for a good while before saying, "Did I say something nonsensical last night because I drank too much?"

Qin Yin looked up in a daze. Did you say nonsense? Were those just random words, and you didn’t mean them at all?

Realizing he was still looking at her, and she shouldn’t show anything strange, her gaze shifted around a bit before she spoke, "No, you already said it was just nonsense, so there’s no need to take it seriously."

After saying that, she walked around him and left.

Mo Han stood there, confused about where her sudden emotions came from, and racked his brain trying to remember what he actually said last night.

Could it be, he really said something he shouldn’t have?

During breakfast prepared by Li Xueru, Qin Yin just focused on eating with her head down, not saying a word.

Seeing that something was off between them, Li Xueru tentatively asked, "Ayin, is there something not to your taste?"

"No, it’s delicious."

Mo Han also noticed her mood was a bit off and changed the subject, "Mom, why did you suddenly come over without letting me know in advance so I could pick you up!"

Li Xueru smiled and replied, "I was bored at home, so I thought I’d come see you two. I’m going back this afternoon; your dad’s not used to being home alone!"

"Not staying for a few more days?" Mo Han asked.

"No, I won’t disrupt your world of two. Actually, the thing I hope for the most is that the next time I come over, I’ll hear some good news from you two."

Hearing this, Qin Yin was suddenly choked and hurriedly grabbed a tissue to cover her mouth, her cheeks flushing red in an instant.

Li Xueru quickly stopped her line of thought, "You, how could you eat so hastily as if someone is fighting for it with you."

Mo Han poured a glass of water and handed it to her, knowing well enough that she’d been startled by his mother’s words earlier. Gently patting her back, he asked softly, "Feeling better now?"

She coughed a few more times, drank a little more water, and finally felt somewhat better.
