Chapter 191: CONFRONTING A CHEATING BOYFRIEND

Chapter 191: CONFRONTING A CHEATING BOYFRIEND

"Are you okay? Is something bothering you, or making you unhappy?" Faced with Dante’s unwavering attention, Dove felt her face heating up. She lowered her head again, suddenly feeling that the floor was the most fascinating thing she has ever seen in her entire life.

She raised her head again to find, Lisa looking at her too. But her expression screamed flat. She looked at her with an unimpressed look, and her lips pressed in a straight line, as if saying, ’Are you wild?’

Cleaqring her throat, she shook her head and replied to the two guys in front of her, saying, "I am fine. I just remembered something about work just know."

Dante and Gavi both looked at her for a moment longer, before they nodded and resumed their steps.

Dove’s eyes met her friend’s once more. And she did not even need words to know that the woman was dying to get her alone. And with all this in her mind, Dove sighed faintly, before resuming her steps and following them.

When they reached the room Lisa had booked, Dante stood at the door, as he gently put Gavi down from his arms, and then looked at Dove and said, "Enjoy yourself. And after you are done, you just need to give me a call. I will come get you, hm?"

And if everything was not enough, much to Dove’s disbelief, he raised his hand and patted the side of Dove’s cheeks, "Take care."

And as if in a complete trance, bounded by a spell, she nodded her head. Dante’s eyes crinkled as he smiled and then turned and walked away with the manager and the bodyguards following.

Dove stood there frozen even after Dante had gone. His warm touch still lingering on the skin of her pink cheeks.

Bang!

Dove jolted out of her trance, at the door being closed with urgency. Lisa closed the door, and she stood in front of it, folding her arms, as she looked at Dove with practically fire oozing out of her eyes!

But before she could lash on her best friend with all the questions, they heard a light tsk of Gavi’s childish voice. "Tsk. Tsk. Aunty Lisa, I know that you are starting to get rich now. But you still shouldn’t go on banging and breaking doors of high end restaurants like this. They use wood of premium quality for the doors. If you break it, they would charge you for it. And given how stingy you are with money, it would dent your heart more than your pocket."

Gavi said in an all knowing tone.

Lisa’s lips twitched as she heard him, but then she realised that outright asking Dove about Dante and her feelings for him in front of Gavo wouldn’t be proper.

She then gave Dove a pointed look and said, "You stay right here. We need to talk. And then she rummaged through her bag, and took out her earphones, before holding it out for Gavi to take.

"Here you can use these earphones for a while. I need to talk to your mother, about something personal."

Gavi blinked his eyes, as he stared at the earphones in Lisa’s hands, blinked his eyes, and then raised his head to glance at Lisa, and then at his mother, who still had her cheeks pink, looking at him with a smile. And a smirk appeared on his lips.

And then, he cheerfully took the earphones and his tablet and said, "Okay!" He turned to find a good place to seat when he saw an acquarium full of beautiful fishes, near a small couch, so he instantly went there, giving the two ladies some privacy.

Dove and Lisa watched Gavi do what he was doing. This was one good quality of Gavi. He could be as notorious or full of mischief. But when asked for privacy, he would instantly follow what was said.

After that was dealt with, Lisa turned all her attention back at Dove.

Dove could literally see her friend turning into a fire breathing dragon, with all the confusion and questions having being piled up!

And there she goes, "What! Was! THAT!!!!"

Lisa uttered that with so much emotions, that even Gavi who had his earphones on, turned around.

Dove laughed nervously. She could tell that her friend if not already planning to eat her up whole already, would definitely do if she did not tell her everything.

She held Lisa’s hand, and said gently, trying to soothe her. "Okay, I’ll tell you everything, alright. Calm down first. Let us sit first, at least!"

Lisa gave her best friend a big side eye, allowing her to drag her to the couch in the room, and said, "You better tell me everything! If you even try to hide one snippet of anything, we are done!"

Dove pressed her lips together, as her friend fumed like an angry girl friend.

Sitting down, Lisa turned towards Dove, staring at the beautiful woman in front of her with such intensity, as if it would drill a hole across her.

She folded her hands, clearing waiting for the nervous woman to start talking. While Dove, she fiddled with her fingers, not quite knowing where should she start from.

Dove could swear she had never been so nervous before like how she was feeling right now. If anyone would see them right now, they would feel as if they were looking at an angry girl friend, confronting her cheating boyfriend. It was that absurd! But Dove knew that what she was feeling wasn’t just because how she would confess her friend about it.

She knew that Lisa was mad, because she was not told everything about Dante, that she had witnessed today. But the reason why Dove was nervous because she would have to lay out and confess whatever she has in her heart for Dante even in front of herself for the very first time.

"Uhm, how about me order food first?" Lisa’s eyes narrowed further, at her friend’s attempt at delaying.
