Chapter 181: Maintaining Relations
Chapter 181: Maintaining Relations
Na'Vi waved her farewell as Reta slipped the curtain back around, covering the doorway to give them some privacy. Dipping her hands into a bowl of water, she washed her face and combed her blue hair back, letting the blanket collapse around her feet exposing herself. Bending over, she pried the leaf off her thigh and rinsed the wound with the same bowl, hissing as the cold fluids cooled the burning puncture mark, washing away any dried blood.
Felix rolled to his side and rubbed his eyes, setting his sights on Reta's backside and butt as she carried on washing her thigh.
"Mmm, wouldn't mind waking to that every day." He murmured sleepily, catching Reta by surprise.
She followed his gaze as she felt an iota of pride, wiggling her butt briefly.
"Damn, that's nice." He hummed, leaning on his side with a goofy grin on his face.
"It pleases me to know you find me so alluring." Reta smirked, sitting by him in their shared cot.
His eyes trailed down to the exposed wound on her thigh, snapping him awake as he sat up. "Your leg- are you bleeding?"
"No, quite the opposite. Seems the elves' healing methods are of good use to our shared biology."
"Shared, you're speaking as if we're not human." He sunk back, feeling a little relieved.
"We're both human, yes. Just from different parts of the world." She explained, stroking his arm before stretching her neck forward to take a peek at his back. "Shall I inspect your injury as well?"
He shrugged, rolling on his front and resting his head over his crossed arms. He felt her peeling the leaf back momentarily before coaxing it back in place. Reta leaned forward, kissed him on the neck and hugged him from behind.
"It's healing, same as mine." She informed him.
He rolled back around, holding her hand and sneaking in a peck on her lips. "Lucky us. The sooner the better."
Sitting up, he yawned and stretched his arms out before standing up. "It does sting a little, like an itch."
"Best not to scratch it." Reta said, sitting up. "There's something you should know."
"Hm?" He turned around, standing in the nude with a curious expression. It would be cute if the topic in her head didn't leave her serious.
She sighed, crossing her leg before meeting his gaze. "Earlier I followed Spi'Reto to a hidden tree hut where he met with Alma and another elf. I couldn't see who it was."
"You followed them?"
She nodded. "The anonymous elf voiced his concerns regarding Vardare, the Owl from Janette's book."
"What about it?"
"He worries over how much knowledge Vardare has about Perdilius."
Felix frowned, looking concerned. "I fail to see how this is an issue. Not like Vardare is secretly working for Perdilius."
"Perish the thought. I believe it's what Vardare knows that they would prefer to remain in secrecy." Reta narrowed her eyes, "Something the old one believes to be dangerous knowledge."
Felix blew out air in an exasperated sigh, running his hair back and looking up at the tree hut ceiling. "As if things weren't just getting better for us. Perdilius is out there, we should be arming ourselves to storm the tower and rescue them by force."
Reta scoffed, "That's a fool's gamble. Our former alliance may be under question, but it remains to everyone's benefit if we play along."
"You said Alma and Spi'Reto were against this?"
"Her son voiced his disapproval."
Felix huffed, reaching for a pair of undergarments and turning around facing the doorway.
Reta raised her brow. "What are you doing?"
"I'm not fond of playing these mind games."
"Bakayaro!" Reta shot up, grabbing his arm forcefully. "Now is not the time to be impulsive."
"So what, we just waste our time pretending to be best friends?" Felix spat back angrily, freeing himself and making his way out, "We made our concerns clear with no ulterior motive. Better I confront them upfront to make things clear-"
"Make what clear?" A large busty Grizzly Girl flashed her dangerously sharpened fangs in a wide smile, poking her head through the curtains to greet them.
"WAAAH-!" Felix fell on his ass with a thud, falling into Reta's arms, unintendedly bringing her to the floor with him. The naked couple looked up with shocked looks across their faces as Nukka stepped inside, blocking the doorway with her immense size. Felix swallowed, getting a good look of her figure now that she stood there before him. He recognized the large bosom that squished his head between them the last time she hugged him tight, and her forearms were girthy and covered in thick Grizzly fur. Her humanoid form resembled the Cat girls, albeit at a much larger size.
Reta herself admired the muscular growth shown by the Grizzly's thighs and biceps. Tiny orange freckles spotted across her cheerful face around her nose, as well as across the large melons on her chest and even her shoulders. They couldn't tell if she was chubby or muscular, possibly both. The wooden flooring groaned and quaked under her weight as she shifted forward, landing on all fours, causing the hut to tremble lightly.
The naked couple stared in awkward silence as Nukka wagged the tiny round ears atop her earthly brown hair, swaying them in conjunction with the round stub of fur perched above her curvy large ass. Felix gulped as this bear woman seemed fixated on his body, following her gaze as she scooted in closer just to realize where she was staring.
"Uuuhhhm," Felix nervously cupped his genitals, snapping Nukka out from her trance.
"Oh! Sorry!" She grinned, giggling as a red blush appeared behind her freckled face. "It's my first time seeing a human's thing! Was that rude of me to say? I don't mean to be rude. Can I see more?"
Felix turned to Reta for support, relieved as she scooted to his right side looking annoyed. "To what reason do you have for eavesdropping on us?"
"Snooping? Oh no, Nukka never snoops!" She exclaimed, shaking her head from side to side in a childish manner. "Not so goodie goodie with keeping secrets. Always says whats on my head, that way brain keeps from gaining weight."
Felix and Reta exchanged looks while Nukka cocked her head, dragging a large pink tongue across her lips.
"Your hair is super pretty, like the river! Do you have fish in there too?" She asked, her eyes gazing lower. "Oh nice milkers too! You'd make a good mommy!"
That comment caught Reta by complete surprise, leaving her gasping and cupping her breasts with both hands.
Felix chuckled before receiving a slap in the arm. "Ahem! Nukka, is it?"
"Uh-huh!" She beamed, sitting up with her strong legs crossed. She cocked her head to one side, reached up with her leg and scratched below her ear.
"Sooooo you weren't listening in on us? Then why are you here?" He asked.
Nukka's eyes blinked before collecting her thoughts. "Oh! Came here to thank you both! For saving Zimi, she means lots to me. I hear you both got hurt saving her."
Felix and Reta nodded.
"You knows, Zimi is very close to my heart. Am sorry I didn't go, Spi'Reto wouldn't lets me. Says, you need to heal up first, don't overexert yourself." She spoke in a deep voice in an attempt to imitate the young elf. "If I knew Zimi was there, I would have gone in a flash!"
"Oh," Felix blinked, scooting his leg back. "Well, um, you're welcome then."
"It was our pleasure." Reta muttered, pressed against his arm.
"Also, Alma says its your turn to heal up. Says tomorrow if you feel better, we can play rescue some more." Nukka smiled, glanced around, then leaned forward cupping her mouth, speaking in a whisper. "I gets to go with you next time."
"Oh!" Felix cooed when Nukka shushed him.
"Apologies, that's great." He answered softly, glancing at the mattered fur around her ankles before spotting metal cuffs around her wrists. He frowned, his nose wiggling at the familiar scent that lingered around her fur. His mind flashed back to the previous fort they passed through upon entering Faehorn Forest. It was left in ruins, but he recognized that scent belonging to a shattered black metal cage with chains inside. His eyes widened, something Nukka took notice.
"You looked spooked, is there a monster nearby?" She asked, looking around the hut.
"No, nothing of the sort." He answered quickly, reaching out slowly before tracing his fingers around the metal cuff on her left hand. "Nukka, were these from... you know."
She eyed him cautiously before bobbing her head, pulling her paw back. "Went looking for Zimi, found bad men instead. But no worries, Spi'Reto help save Nukka just like you both save Zimi!"
Reta looked between Felix and Nukka, recognizing the pained look in his eyes.
"Don't be sad, Nukka help you feel better!" She exclaimed, moving in close for a hug.
"Wait!" Felix shouted with his hands extended forward, startling her. "Sorry, just... your hugs are a bit too strong for me."
"Hmm..." Nukka sat back, rubbing her chin when her eyes opened wide with an idea. "I knows! How's pat-pat?"
"Pat-pat?" He asked, staring as she held out her large paw casting a shadow over him. It was moving almost in slow motion, his heart racing as it threatened to crush him with ease, drawing closer until it grasped the top of his head.
"Pat-pat!" She beamed, patting him on the head a few times, ruffling his hair. "You too! Pat-pat!"
Reta flinched, feeling her blue hair get tussled by the friendly act. "Charmed."
"There, pat-pat for everyone!" Nukka giggled, turning around before looking back at them. "Sits, heal up, play. Oh, Zimi would likes to see you too."
"Oh, right now?" He asked.
"Noo, not right now right now. Maybe later. She's taking a bath in the healing waters below. Do you know where to go?"
"Yes, I'm familiar with the place." Reta replied.
"Oh! Your leaf thing peeled off? I can ask someone to patch you back up again!" She offered.
"Arigatou."
"Ari- what?"
"She means thank you." Felix explained.
"Oh, of course!" Nukka grinned, walking off on all fours. Much to their surprise, they realized she was wearing a thing pair of underwear paired with the tightened bra hugged around her large breasts. She had fur covering her forearms, ankles, and some around her groin area. Still, it did very little to hide the large thick curves of her hind area as she left the hut, with both Felix and Reta staring in awe.
Suddenly, he regretted not taking up that hug.
"Damn." They both sighed in admiration.
Felix shook his head and gave Reta a look. "Reta!"
"Oh sod off baka, as if you weren't looking either." She huffed, glancing a peak at his hardening member. "Someone enjoyed the view."
"I-" He covered himself with both hands, blushing profusely and looking away. "It's not... damn."
"What are we to do now?"
"Erm, about what?" He asked, ashamed to have lost his train of thought.
Reta huffed, or was it a laugh? He noticed her hide a smile from him.
"We were discussing what to do about the elves and Vardare."
"Right, right." He recalled, clicking his tongue. "No plans for fighting today. Hmm, I don't know."
"No confrontation?"
"That was the idea," He groaned, "But... what if we end up creating a rift between us? They're all we have. If we split up, our chance of rescuing them seems slim."
"Almost like I warned you of that, baka." She scolded him, tugging his ear lightly. "So you do know how to listen."
"I have my moments." He laughed, batting her hand away.
"Yes, when a large ass is wagging in view for your pleasure, then you listen." She teased, poking at his arm.
Felix felt his face burn red, clearing his throat and averting his gaze from her knowing look. "Not necessarily."
"Alma urged patience, perhaps we do the same." Reta advised, "Until we figure out who the third member is."
"You're sure there weren't any more?"
"Of that I am certain, only three left the hut."
"But you weren't able to get a look?"
She shook her head. "One more thing, Na'Vi was there. She heard everything. We agreed to share this with the others."
Felix raised his brow. "Okay, then we speak to Jay. She's more levelheaded."
"When should we meet?"
"Give it time, best to make sure none of the other elves have any doubts about us." He stood up, slipping his undergarments on. "I'm tired, and hungry."
"Yes, our late-night activities have built up quite the appetite." Reta agreed as she was getting dressed.
Felix blushed as they both stepped outside, greeted by a pair of cat girls chasing each other in a game of tag. They watched the girls' run circles around them, giggling and jumping back before running down the rope bridge. It was a heartwarming sight as the pair followed them down the same bridge, on their way to greet their friends.
