Chapter 2283 - 2259: Clothing Classification
Chapter 2283 - 2259: Clothing Classification
On the way to Texas, Gao Yang did not habitually take a nap but fell into deep thought.
Now Gao Yang had resources, funds, ample manpower, and convenient conditions. So after he and Morgan made certain predictions, he decided to take immediate action.
After pondering for a long time, Gao Yang wanted something to drink, so he looked toward the small bar on the plane. As soon as his gaze shifted, Joseph Raji immediately asked, "Do you want something to drink?"
Gao Yang quickly replied, "A refreshing drink, a cup of coffee, please."
Joseph turned around to the small bar and soon returned with a cup of coffee, placing it in front of Gao Yang, then said in a deep voice, "Anything else you need?"
"No, thank you."
Joseph nodded and then returned to his seat, which was next to Gao Yang.
Gao Yang sat in a small compartment on the private jet, as there was a very comfortable executive chair in the compartment.
Looking at Joseph beside him, Gao Yang hesitated for a moment and finally asked, "Um, you’re my bodyguard, do you need to do these serving tasks?"
Joseph replied in a deep voice, "If you had other bodyguards or attendants by your side, then I wouldn’t need to do these things. But if I’m the only one by your side, I’ll do them for you because even though I temporarily leave your side, it’s relatively safer than if you personally did these things. So, I must do them for you."
Gao Yang nodded and said, "Oh, I understand. Well, there’s nothing now, and I’d like to be alone for a while."
Joseph seriously said, "If you don’t have any private matters that require my absence or confidential calls I shouldn’t hear, I suggest you let me stay. We can build mutual understanding in a very safe environment instead of trying to establish necessary rapport in a dangerous situation. I don’t know your daily routines or habits, such as sleeping habits, hygiene habits, all of which I need to understand and remember. So, if you’re not busy now, I should stay. Observing your state is part of my job."
Joseph listed a slew of reasons that Gao Yang couldn’t refuse. After scratching his head, Gao Yang said, "Alright, I have nothing to handle, so you stay."
Joseph nodded and said, "Understanding is mutual. If you have questions or want to chat with me, now is a good time."
Gao Yang took a sip of coffee and then smiled, "Chatting is nice, well, why don’t you have a cup of coffee or another drink for yourself? When you’re with me, you don’t have to be so restrained. It’s better to chat while drinking."
Joseph shook his head, "No, I don’t drink anything other than water while working, nor do I let meaningless meals take up my time."
Gao Yang curiously asked, "So how long is your working time? It can’t be punctually ending on time, haha."
Joseph seriously said, "As long as I’m by your side, that’s my working time."
Gao Yang exhaled and then said, "Alright, I understand. One more question, do we always need to be this, this close? Do you have to follow me everywhere I go?"
Joseph replied, "It depends on the level. If it’s a safe environment, I can be within the same building as you. If it’s a highly dangerous environment, then even at night, I must be in the same room as you."
Gao Yang couldn’t help but shiver and then burst out laughing, "Okay, it seems I have to slowly adapt to all this."
This time, Joseph did not respond. Gao Yang put down the coffee cup and looked at Joseph, "Do you have a nickname? Or how would you prefer me to address you?"
Joseph promptly said, "Just call me Raji. Raji is shorter and sharper to pronounce, making it easier for me to hear if you need to call out to me loudly."
Gao Yang was extremely surprised and said, "Do names come with such considerations?"
"Of course, every detail does."
Gao Yang thought for a moment and suddenly smiled, "That’s not going to work. I can’t call you Raji. I’m a Huaxia person, as you already know, and your surname, Raji, is a homophone with garbage in Chinese. Calling you Raji feels weird to me."
Joseph smiled gently, "If it makes you happy, you can call me Bodyguard; as long as you have a habitual way to call me, it’s fine."
Gao Yang waved his hand, "Didn’t you originally have any nicknames?"
Joseph shook his head, "No, but our nicknames must stay in the training camp, and once out, they can never be used again, so there are no nicknames."
"Then I’ll just call you Joseph for now. You’ll surely get a nickname; I have a bunch of interesting brothers who would love to give you a nickname."
With a smile, Gao Yang continued, "One more question, which level do you belong to? If it’s inconvenient to answer, just forget it."
Joseph pondered for a moment, then said in a deep voice, "Internally, of course, there are levels. I can only say I’m at the highest of that level. As for how many levels there are, I won’t disclose. Functionally, I belong to the underwear bodyguard."
Gao Yang widened his eyes and said, "Underwear?"
Joseph shrugged and said, "That’s an inside joke. I inadvertently mentioned it, but it’s not really a secret. Generally, bodyguards are like this. Let me explain. An underwear bodyguard doesn’t protect underwear but is like an underwear bodyguard. As the name suggests, underwear is the most intimate and private clothing. It’s easy to understand. Outside the underwear bodyguards are the coat bodyguards. You obviously need to wear clothes, but you’ll take off your clothes when you sleep."
Gao Yang laughed immediately, "Understood, understood, this metaphor is indeed very vivid."
Joseph continued, "Outside the coat bodyguards are glove bodyguards. You wear gloves when working or in some ceremonial occasions, or when you need to get dirty, or if the weather is cold, so glove bodyguards are the most numerous and flexible, just like wearing gloves when needed and not when they’re not."
Gao Yang nodded repeatedly, "In cold weather, just like when the safety environment is rather hostile, you need a large number of bodyguards. Your metaphors are really vivid and easy to understand."
Joseph said in a deep voice, "They belong to the category of coat bodyguards. You can’t just wear underwear without a coat, so I suggest you quickly meet the bodyguards Mr. Morgan recommended for you. This way, I can assess and then improve your security system."
Gao Yang laughed, "Very soon, very soon. Let’s finish our business in Texas first, and once we return, you’ll meet them."
