Mercenary’s War

Chapter 2193 - 2170: Cold-Blooded

Chapter 2193 - 2170: Cold-Blooded

This act of revenge becomes increasingly difficult as it progresses, because as Mario heightens his vigilance and gathers more manpower, the operation becomes more challenging and dangerous.

However, Gao Yang and his group performed well at the beginning stage, mainly because Ivan did exceptionally well. He attacked anyone related to the Cicero Family like a madman, regardless of the nature of the relationship—if there was any connection, he killed them, just like a mad dog.

In just a few days, Ivan created a bloody mess in Italy, with heads rolling around compared to Gao Yang’s cautious and restrained actions. It seemed like Ivan was the one who had endured intense hatred and torment for several days.

The weak fear the strong, the strong fear the reckless, the reckless fear those who don’t fear death, and those who don’t fear death fear the mad.

When I go mad, even I fear myself. If there’s one sentence to describe Ivan, this would fit perfectly.

Now, Ivan has become a household name. Those who fear him, those who stand on the same side as him, and the neutrals call him Bloody Ivan, whereas those who don’t fear him, dislike him, or are his enemies call him Mad Dog Ivan without hesitation.

Finally, after five days of frenzied revenge, both Gao Yang and Ivan were out of suitable targets, not due to fear but because they simply couldn’t find anyone.

There are now six direct members in the Cicero Family, excluding Justin; five are targets to be eliminated. Mario hid himself and dared not show his face, then another called Danilo also went into hiding and couldn’t be found. The remaining three have already been taken out.

Three of the Cicero Family’s main members have been eliminated, usually involving comprehensive annihilation. If they are caught, they must be fully eradicated regardless of how difficult or dangerous it might be. As for collateral members, and those who work for the Cicero Family, naturally, more of them have been killed.

Gao Yang estimated that by now, the number of people killed by him and Ivan together must have exceeded two hundred, while Ivan’s group alone lost more than forty people.

Ivan’s group barely suffered casualties at first, later losing over forty in a single operation against Stefano, yet Ivan didn’t care!

Ivan genuinely doesn’t care about losing a few people. He has both money and manpower; if there aren’t enough, he can simply summon more. As long as the Cicero Family can be utterly destroyed, no price is too high to pay.

In a war against an enemy like the Cicero Family, if they cannot be struck down in one blow, it is considered a failure. If they are allowed to retaliate slowly, honestly speaking, neither Grand Ivan nor Satan could withstand it.

As long as Mario continues to freely divulge any information about Grand Ivan and Satan, neither Grand Ivan nor Gao Yang can bear it. Furthermore, if this mission fails, it would be far more difficult to undertake such a large-scale operation in Italy again in the future.

The longer this drags on, the worse it is for the Satan Allied Forces. But Gao Yang’s group really has no options left; no matter the might, what use is it if they can’t find people? What use is it if they’re willing to pay any price?

But being unable to find a target gives Gao Yang’s group the time to settle scores with one person—who? Of course, it’s Fatino.

Using beating as a means of torture for Fatino is simply lenience. Gao Yang said he would inflict suffering on Fatino a hundred to a thousand times worse than he endured, so Fatino must receive the best hospitality.

Apart from Fatino, Mario’s daughter is also being tormented.

However miserable Justin was made by Mario, he will return it in kind.

Tarta, Vasily, and Yake take turns, and then there’s Justin, though twice around Justin can only do so much, so even though Justin hates Fatino and apart from Yake, he rather prefers Tarta’s group to do the job for him.

What Tarta does to him, Gao Yang and his normal associates don’t watch, because they aren’t psychopaths and can’t bear to see it.

Gao Yang was with Yarebin when someone knocked on the door from outside; Number Thirteen walked in soon after and whispered, "The person has been caught."

Gao Yang immediately looked up and asked, "Caught them all?"

"Yes, not one missing: his girlfriend and parents."

Fatino had long since revealed everything he could, so Satan could strike with precision; whoever was important to him was captured.

Gao Yang looked at Yarebin and said, "It’s about time for the final act then."

Yarebin smiled and said, "Yes, it’s about time, let’s proceed."

Gao Yang stood up and said to Number Thirteen, "Send them to Yake, oh, have them pause for a moment."

Gao Yang adjusted his clothing, took a deep breath, and said to Yarebin, "I feel I’m getting more cold-blooded; I couldn’t do such a thing before."

Yarebin still smiled and said, "You’re just getting used to it, that’s all. Besides, I don’t quite like the word ’cold-blooded.’

Gao Yang shrugged and walked out the door.

Gao Yang’s group doesn’t have a dedicated interrogation room, so they transformed a bathroom for it, making it convenient to wash off anything dirty.

As Gao Yang reached the bathroom door, he knocked and then walked in. Inside, he saw three people with their heads covered and bound, and Fatino—he no longer looked human, not in a gory way, but his expression was nightmarishly haunting.

Gao Yang walked up to Fatino, bent down, and whispered, "Do you remember what I told you?"

Fatino could no longer cry, his voice was extremely unpleasant as he trembled, "I beg you, beg you, kill me, please, may the Virgin bless you, please kill me."

Gao Yang straightened up and shook his head, "F**k, you make me feel like I’m a supervillain, the kind that only appears in movies; I don’t like this feeling. Think about it, back when I begged you to kill me, how did you reply?"

Fatino mumbled incoherently, unable to speak, while Gao Yang sighed, "I’m a fair person, however you treat me, I treat you the same. An eye for an eye, blood for blood, that’s fair."

After saying this, Gao Yang beckoned with his finger, and Tarta removed the hoods from the three bound people. Fatino tried to shake his head desperately, but couldn’t utter a word.

Gao Yang took a deep breath and said, "I don’t want to do this either, your family is innocent. Your sins have brought retribution upon them, and I don’t like it."

Fatino said hopelessly, "They don’t even know what I’ve done; they are innocent. They just think I’m a doctor."

Gao Yang chuckled and said, "Let me ask you, if you caught my family, what would you do? Never mind, don’t answer. I’ll let my grace shine; since your family is innocent, let’s not torture them anymore. Give them a swift end."

After saying this, Gao Yang tidied up his clothing, casually added, "Kill them, and record it."
