Chapter 559: No Discipline
Chapter 559: No Discipline
"What are your thoughts on the sponsorship team becoming a global public enemy?" Wang Yue asked after Wang Chaoyang had left.
His memory stopped on the night of the auction at Ming Feng Tower. He had been in a semi-conscious state ever since, and no one had told him what had happened.
"What are your thoughts, Elder Wang?" the Dragon Lord asked, turning the question back on him.
"I’ve thought of a way to break the deadlock," Wang Yue said with a shrewd smile.
This piqued the curiosity of the Dragon Lord and Ye Tianming. "Oh? What method is that?" the Dragon Lord asked.
"Our actions last night caused a public uproar. Once the Mist Chant Martial Meeting is over, those who attended the auction will likely attack every member of the sponsorship team. We wouldn’t stand a chance," Wang Yue explained. He then smiled wisely and continued, "But what if we pull all of them into the sponsorship team?"
The Dragon Lord and Ye Tianming exchanged a look, stunned that they hadn’t thought of such a brilliant solution.
Ye Tianming asked, "After the Mist Chant Martial Meeting ends, won’t they still try to settle old scores? A lot of people died last night, after all."
"I’ve thought of that, too!" Wang Yue, who seemed to have gained a new level of astuteness as if enlightened by his near-death experience, went on, "I’ve decided to invite all members of the sponsorship team to establish a global chamber of commerce. Then, we’ll have everyone sign a contract of shared interests, completely binding the interests of everyone in the sponsorship team together."
The Dragon Lord and Ye Tianming considered it and agreed that Wang Yue’s move was brilliant.
Ye Tianming said, "Since we’re establishing a global chamber of commerce, we might as well bring more people into the sponsorship team. We should at least pull in all the domestic families and companies with assets over ten billion."
"In that case, wouldn’t we be the ones dictating the future of the global economy?" the Dragon Lord exclaimed excitedly.
Wang Yue and Ye Tianming laughed, already fantasizing about a grand future where a single word from them could sway the economies of nations worldwide.
"Elder Ye, I’ll leave this matter to you," Wang Yue said impatiently. "I need you to be quick. While you’re at it, draft the contract of shared interests. I want to hold a sponsorship team meeting tonight to establish the global chamber of commerce, elect a president, and form the chamber’s management."
"Alright, leave it to me. You can count on it!" Ye Tianming nodded but didn’t leave immediately. Instead, he asked, "Our biggest enemy right now is Ye Xiu. Even with a chamber of commerce, we can’t threaten his life. For now, we still need to find a way to eliminate him quickly."
"Ye Xiu is nothing to fear," Wang Yue said casually.
The Dragon Lord and Ye Tianming were shocked. The latter asked, "Elder Wang, do you have a way to kill Ye Xiu?"
Wang Yue nodded. "Actually, our thinking was stuck in a rut before. We wanted to use the three major Judicator Families to kill Ye Xiu, but we don’t actually need evidence. As long as we all tell the same story—that Ye Xiu wants to kill us to stop the Mist Chant Martial Meeting—the Judicator Families will surely believe us, not his specious arguments."
The Dragon Lord and Ye Tianming felt as if a light had been switched on in their minds.
Of course! You don’t need evidence to kill someone with a borrowed knife! Baseless accusations were enough! As long as everyone told the same story, even a complete fabrication would become the truth. It was just like ten years ago when a simple frame-up had easily destroyed Ye Xiu. No matter how he tried to defend himself, nobody believed him.
"In that case, Elder Wang, please contact the envoys of the three major Judicator Families as soon as possible," the Dragon Lord said eagerly.
"I will," Wang Yue nodded.
The Dragon Lord and Ye Tianming smiled. From the very beginning, neither had any intention of telling Wang Yue that Ye Xiu was the master of Baishan Jun and Gu Mufeng or that he was from Medicine King Valley.
Ye Tianming laughed the loudest. These two fools, the Dragon Lord and Wang Yue, have no idea that Ye Xiu is Huang Quan.

After leaving the hospital, Ye Xiu took a taxi to Yunluo City Academy. He lit a cigarette and stood at the gate, smoking while he waited for someone.
Just then, his phone rang. It was Qing Luan.
Ye Xiu was taken aback for a moment before answering. "Is something wrong?"
"Well, it’s nothing major," Qing Luan said hesitantly, "but it’s about Tang Bo. You... perhaps you should take him with you."
"Tang Bo?" Ye Xiu was baffled. "What’s wrong with Tang Bo?" he asked, sensing the gravity in her tone.
"He goes out every day, claiming you’re his big brother so no one dares to control him," she explained. "In any case, you should probably take him. He really isn’t suited for working with the Official Family..."
Ye Xiu cringed internally. What should I do now?
He asked, "Where is he?"
"He just asked me for 2,000 yuan," Qing Luan replied.
Ye Xiu felt a massive headache coming on. He inquired, "How are the others from the thirteen non-family households?"
"They are all receiving their education and, aside from Tang Bo, are doing very well," she said.
"That’s good." Ye Xiu thought for a moment before saying, "Leave Tang Bo to me. You don’t need to worry about him anymore."
"Okay!" Qing Luan agreed.
Ye Xiu hung up, though he had no intention of actually looking for Tang Bo.
At that moment, a pink Ferrari convertible sped toward him and screeched to a halt right in front of him.
"B-Brother?" Ye Lin’er became instantly reserved upon seeing Ye Xiu. "Ah, Brother, w-why are you here? Were you waiting for me? How did you know I’d be back at school?"
Ye Xiu was indeed waiting for Ye Lin’er. There were some things he needed to ask her directly. He opened the car door, sat in the passenger seat, and said, "Find a place where we can talk."
"Oh, okay!" Ye Lin’er, though a little panicked, drove onto the campus. After parking the car, she led Ye Xiu to the sports field. With her head bowed, she fidgeted with the hem of her clothes, waiting for him to speak.
Ye Xiu studied her. Is this girl feigning innocence, or is she truly naive? She’s seventeen and grew up in a family like the Ye Family. In that environment, even an idle person could be molded into a schemer. There’s no way Ye Lin’er is just a simple girl.
He asked, his voice chillingly cold, "I murdered your mother. You should hate me to the bone, so why did you run to tip me off?"
His voice was icy, his gaze as sharp as a hawk’s. Ye Lin’er’s delicate body trembled, her face turning pale with fright.
But she bravely lifted her head to meet his eyes. "Brother, please, can we not have any more deaths?"
"So you’re saying the people who died, died for nothing? That everything the Ye Family did to me should just be forgotten?" Ye Xiu demanded.
"But the main culprit, my mother, is already dead." Tears streamed from Ye Lin’er’s large, beautiful eyes. "If you’re still not satisfied, Brother, you can kill me. Just please... don’t hate the rest of the Ye Family anymore, okay?"
