Chapter 296: Sword Slices Through Sniper Rifle Bullet

Chapter 296: Sword Slices Through Sniper Rifle Bullet

Xia Xue and Sister Han were even more confused than An Dongye. To be precise, their minds suddenly seemed to rust over and seize up.

They simply couldn’t fathom why 100 gunners with AKs would suddenly turn on 30 gunners with Type 95 assault rifles.

"Why? Why did you suddenly open fire and kill them?" Sister Han glared at the 100 AK Gunners and demanded.

No one answered her.

"Take out the people under the bridge," Ye Xiu ordered.

"Yes, sir!" The 100 AK Gunners, impeccably trained, immediately launched their attack on the 195 motorboats below the bridge.

Every shot was a headshot.

These 100 AK Gunners were all sharpshooters!

The 390 people on the 195 motorboats never expected to be attacked by their ’own people’ and were caught completely off guard. By the time they could react, all 390 of them were dead, every single one shot in the head.

"Let me answer you instead."

Ye Xiu tossed Xia Xue to An Dongye and walked up to Sister Han.

"As early as yesterday, I confirmed that Qingfeng Road has a mysterious, vast information network connected to the Heavenly Dragon Sect. Once I knew that, my people began infiltrating Green Leaf Island and all its surrounding islands in batches under the cover of darkness."

"We also found the 100 Gunners you stationed on Sha Shi Island. We learned about today’s assignment from them, then executed them all, took their clothes and weapons, and collaborated with me to stage this play you saw today."

An Dongye was dumbfounded.

So Ye Xiu knew all along what was going to happen here today and had prepared in advance. No wonder he reminded me not to shoot randomly on the way; he was worried I might kill our own people.

Xia Xue collapsed on the ground, staring in shock at the back of Ye Xiu, who stood before Sister Han. Recalling her own triumphant and crazed actions and words, she felt as if she had been violently slapped across the face.

So Ye Xiu had been watching me this whole time, like a spectator watching a monkey’s frantic performance.

"Impossible, this is absolutely impossible..." Sister Han’s reaction was the most intense, her voice filled with disbelief. "Our organization is strictly disciplined. Once a member confirms there is no hope of escape, they will immediately take poison to commit suicide. They would never reveal the slightest bit of information about the organization. Those 100 assassins would never have betrayed us."

"Let’s welcome the Ghost Doctor to the stage!" Ye Xiu bellowed.

One of the 100 AK Gunners stepped forward, removed his mask, and revealed the face of the Ghost Doctor.

"In this world, besides my master, no one is better at poisons than me. Trying to commit suicide by poison in front of me is harder than achieving immortality!" the Ghost Doctor bragged arrogantly.

Ye Xiu had taken note when the person Mo Luo was chasing committed suicide by poison yesterday. Because of that, he had the Ghost Doctor lead last night’s operation so that if anyone else tried to take poison, the Ghost Doctor could immediately administer an antidote.

"Do you believe me now?" Ye Xiu asked mockingly. "If you still don’t, you can try killing yourself with poison. I guarantee I can neutralize it in seconds."

"I don’t believe it!" Sister Han decisively crushed the poison-filled false tooth hidden in her mouth. Instantly, her face was shrouded in a black mist.

Ye Xiu was shocked by the ferocity of the poison and hurried to detoxify her.

Ten seconds later, Sister Han was full of life again.

"Believe me now?" Ye Xiu asked with a smile.

Sister Han’s mentality completely crumbled. This was the first time she had ever heard of someone finding it so hard to die. She said, "I believe you, but don’t think you can get any information about the organization from me. I’ve undergone the harshest training, and I will never betray the organization."

Just then, the Ghost Doctor walked over. "The kid I administered the antidote to last night said the same thing. But after he drank a bottle of this, he spilled everything—what he should have said and what he shouldn’t have."

As he spoke, he produced a small vial filled with a blue liquid.

"What... what is that?" Sister Han asked in terror.

"Forced Confession Potion. My master developed it. It’s some seriously powerful stuff." The Ghost Doctor pinched Sister Han’s jaw with his left hand, about to force the potion down her throat.

Just then, Ye Xiu’s eyes sharpened. He instantly drew his Dragon Sparrow Sword and slashed.

CLANG!

With a piercing metallic sound, the Ghost Doctor, An Dongye, Xia Xue, Sister Han, and all the AK Gunners saw a bullet, split cleanly in two, fall to the ground.

"There’s a sniper on Green Leaf Island," Ye Xiu said in a low voice. "Ghost Doctor, take Sister Han back for interrogation."

"Understood!" The Ghost Doctor hoisted Sister Han up and ran toward his car.

"Escort the Ghost Doctor back!" Ye Xiu ordered.

"Yes, sir!" all the AK Gunners responded in unison. They expertly returned to their vehicles and formed a convoy around the Ghost Doctor’s car, speeding back the way they came.

Still reeling in shock, An Dongye exclaimed, "Little brother, you’re a monster! You can actually block a sniper bullet?"

If she hadn’t seen it with her own eyes, she would have died before believing it.

With long-range sniping, you can’t hear the shot, and the bullet is too fast. Even if a War God knew a sniper was present and where they were aiming, they wouldn’t be able to block it; they could only sense the danger and dodge. But Ye Xiu is on another level! The sniper wasn’t even aiming at him, yet he knew a sniper was there, pinpointed the bullet’s trajectory, and sliced it in half with his sword. How powerful is a sniper bullet? Its force is definitely stronger than a War God’s attack! And Ye Xiu just cut it in half like it was nothing... He’s a monster!

"As a sniper, your performance is subpar," Ye Xiu said, ignoring her question and mercilessly pointing out her flaws. "When facing an unknown sniper, your first move should be to determine their position and distance. Then, you must immediately locate their hiding spot and launch a counterattack."

"I’m an amateur," An Dongye argued stubbornly, though her face flushed red with deep frustration.

Ever since I gained the ability to snipe a War God, I thought I was the world’s greatest sniper, even better than the Gun God. But now, it seems my skills as a sniper are far too poor!

"I’ll go drag that sniper out and waste him," An Dongye huffed, furious and humiliated.

"You’re completely exposed to the sniper’s line of sight right now. He’s in the shadows, and you’re in the open. Going after him is a suicide mission," Ye Xiu stated bluntly.

An Dongye punched him lightly on the chest. "We have an outsider here, save me some face."

In her heart, however, she had to admit that Ye Xiu was calmer and his judgment was far more accurate than hers.

"Alright, take Xia Xue. We’re going to the Heavenly Dragon Sect. I’ll give you a chance to face off against that sniper," Ye Xiu said.

"Fine!" An Dongye roughly picked up Xia Xue, placed her in the wheelchair, and silently pushed it as she followed Ye Xiu.

Being scolded by my own junior in front of an outsider... I’ve completely lost face. If this keeps up, what will happen to my authority as the boss? This little brother is trying to seize power and usurp my position!
