In a car not far away, Xiong Ba and Xiong Shan had witnessed the entire face-slapping spectacle.

"So that’s Ye Xiu. We finally know what he looks like," Xiong Shan said coldly. Neither of them had known Ye Xiu by sight, but upon hearing about the business party, they had arrived early. Knowing he would be there, they had been lying in wait.

"We have Zhang Tao to thank. If not for his little scene, we never would have known that this was the man," Xiong Ba said, his eyes narrowed with hatred. "We won’t make our move just yet. We’ll wait until the party is over and Ye Xiu is alone. Then we’ll strike together and kill him."

"What if Ye Xiu leaves with Xu Tingbai?" Xiong Shan asked.

A two-on-two fight would be a stalemate. Neither side could win.

"Even if they leave together, they’ll have to part ways eventually," Xiong Ba stated.

Ye Xiu waited until 7:15, when Xia Zhiwei finally arrived, fashionably late.

Her attire, however, made Ye Xiu’s eyes light up. She had removed her wig, revealing her natural short black hair. She wore a black, hollowed-out slip dress and high heels, complemented by light makeup and inexpensive jewelry. She was still as beautiful as a porcelain doll but now possessed an added touch of elegance and nobility.

"This is my most expensive dress. I bought it last year for 599 yuan but have barely had the heart to wear it. I won’t embarrass you like this, will I?" Xia Zhiwei asked, her voice full of insecurity.

"Well, how much do you think my outfit is worth?" Ye Xiu asked with a smile.

Xia Zhiwei looked him over. "No more than 500."

Ye Xiu was speechless.

Her eyes must be made of titanium alloy to be so blind. His entire ensemble was worth over a million. However, to the untrained eye, Ye Xiu’s clothes did look cheap, just as Zhang Lulu had thought earlier.

He said, "If you walk in with me, people will just assume you’re being low-key, even if you’re wearing a sack."

"Really?" Xia Zhiwei eyed him skeptically. "I’m not very educated, so don’t you dare trick me. If you make me look like a fool, you’d better watch out, or I’ll hammer you."

"Haha..." Ye Xiu chuckled. "Let’s go!"
