Chapter 138: The Thanos army descended with overwhelming force. Earth's Allied Forces trembled. Was this… truly how wars could be fought?

"That's right!"

Thanos nodded vigorously, clearly excited. He raised his left hand adorned with the Infinity Gauntlet, the Space Stone and Power Stone within it humming in response to his distant comrades, as if yearning.

With absolute conviction, he declared:

"I can feel it so clearly! The Infinity Stones are responding!"

"In other words..." A crazed light flashed in Thanos's eyes. "The Reality Stone must be in Lucci's hands as well!"

Today, the thought that his lifelong dream was being realized thudded in Thanos's heart, which had been frozen for countless eons.

With all seven Infinity Stones gathered, a single snap could wipe out half the life in the universe at random. In this way, he would finally realize the great cosmic balance he sought.

Despite this good news, Ebony Maw did not show a scrap of joy. Instead, his face filled with deep unease. He could not stop himself from speaking,

"Master! Forgive my rudeness, but… if our opponent truly holds the power of the Infinity Stones… then, his power could reach a horrifying level far beyond what we could imagine! Perhaps we should reconsider…"

Hearing Ebony Maw's rational advice, Thanos's fanaticism cooled instantly. But almost as fast, confidence and a domineering aura returned to his face. He glanced once at the purple Power Stone in his gauntlet, destructive energy swirling, and curled his lip in a cold sneer.

"Ebony Maw, you worry too much. The power of the Infinity Stones is even stronger and more terrifying than you think. But more is not always better."

"Lucci may be fortunate to possess stones, but how much of their power can he actually use? Besides…" Thanos clenched his fist.

The purple gem exploded instantly with terrifying energy. "The pure destructive power of the Power Stone is, without a doubt, the strongest among all the Infinity Stones! So long as I wield this…there's nothing to fear! So stop worrying!"

"Execute the order immediately!"

Feeling his master's absolute and undoubtable will, Ebony Maw said nothing further, bowing in utmost respect:

"Yes, my lord!"

The next moment, a gigantic spatial portal exploded forth on the plains of Wakanda.

From the portal came Thanos's thick and endless legions, pouring through like a black flood breaking free from a dam. The number was terrifying, densely packed, spreading as far as the eye could see.

"Jarvis, countdown!"

Iron Man hovered in midair, his expression beneath the mask suddenly turning grim.

"Sir, preliminary scan shows enemy individual units exceed 100,000 and are increasing by thousands per second…"

"Warning: this number exceeds processable limits."

Jarvis's calm but merciless voice echoed in Tony's earpiece.

"Shit!" Tony cursed under his breath. Staring at the endless tide of steel and flesh before him, for the first time, a deep sense of powerlessness gripped him.

Numbers like these were beyond the scope of what any group of Superheroes could resolve. This wasn't a battle — it was an interstellar civilization coming to annihilate Earth's own.

Captain America gripped his shield to his chest, his heart heavy. In the face of such overwhelming odds, any formation felt pale and laughable. This was not a fight; it was a massacre.

Black Widow Natasha and Hawkeye Clint exchanged glances, sensing unprecedented seriousness in each other's eyes. Even after experiencing the battle of New York, this was easily many times bigger.

Not only the Avengers — even the Mutant Legions showed clear signs of panic. Many young mutants had never witnessed such an apocalyptic scene. Despite their powers, they were, after all, just a gathering of children. Before this cosmic army that devoured all, instinctive terror threatened to consume everything.

"Everyone, calm down!"

Logan's low growl echoed across the lines as his Adamantium claws sprang out, shining coldly.

Magneto hovered pale-faced, an unsettling hum rising from the metal around him.

Professor Charles Xavier sat in his floating wheelchair, brows knotted, clearly sensing the fear and despair spreading within the Allied Forces with his tremendous telepathy.

Just as this panic was about to tip into outright defeat, nearly everyone — Avenger and Mutant alike — found their gaze drawn to the figure floating, poised at the vanguard.

Lucci.

He stood, calm and unflinching, as though the monstrous tide before them was little more than a swarm of country mosquitoes.

Seeing his utter composure, an indescribable sense of reassurance rippled through the crowd. Right, what did they truly have to fear, when Prince Lucci stood among them?

As long as he didn't move, it meant — there was no need to fear the crisis. All their anxieties, like magic, dissipated in his presence. Their grips on their weapons tightened, eyes steeling once more. Under Lucci's command, they would charge into hell itself without hesitation.

Just then!

A vast field not far beyond the coalition's lines suddenly shimmered as if the air itself rippled like water. A huge, translucent blue hexagonal energy shield faded away.

From what had been once a barren grassland, an astonishingly advanced army emerged, shocking all.

Leading them was a strong man clad in black vibranium armor and a black panther mask. Behind him came the Dora Milaje, the all-female royal guard, each wielding a vibranium spear, their steps synchronized, eyes sharp as knives.

Flanking their sides: border tribe warriors riding armored rhinos, bristling with energy shields and sonic cannons — an overwhelming presence.

It was T'Challa, King of Wakanda — the Black Panther — and his proud army.

"This…"

Tony Stark was utterly stunned. His scanning systems went into overdrive, alarms blaring.

"Who are these guys? Their tech…surpasses America in so many areas? Invisible energy shields? Pure vibranium weaving? How can such a country exist on Earth…?"

The Avengers were all stupefied. They'd always believed America represented the pinnacle of terrestrial technology, and now their worldview was utterly overturned.

The mutants were equally shocked, unable to believe such a kingdom was hidden among mankind.

T'Challa stopped before Lucci, removed his mask to reveal a calm and handsome face, then solemnly bowed to Lucci.

"Prince Lucci! Wakanda has come to help! For Earth, and for Wakanda!"

Behind him, tens of thousands of soldiers cried in unison: "For Wakanda!"

Lucci smiled in satisfaction, nodding lightly.

Even as the Wakandan battle cry faded, another overwhelming force came surging from the opposite side.

There was no thunder of technology or clashing metal, only the rhythmic beat of horse hooves, like the pounding of a great drum.

Everyone turned toward the sound, their moods cranking higher. Atop the hills rode a cavalcade composed only of women, clad in ancient Greek gold and silver armor, wielding bows and swords, astride magnificent warhorses.

Leading them: Princess Diana and her mother, Queen Hippolyta of the Amazons.

Each of these warriors bore the pride and indomitable spirit passed down from mythic times, radiating the powerful aura of demigod blood. They were born fighters, protectors left by the gods of Olympus upon the world.

The Amazons' arrival was a breath of fresh wind. Myths, technology, and superpowers fused into a splendid tableau — the world-shaking alliance of Wakanda, mutants, Avengers, and now the Amazons!

"Good! Even Diana has come!" Jean genuinely smiled, seeing the reinforcements.

"Wow, what day is it? The day all Earth's hidden might reveals itself?"

Avengers had the sense that their world was being overturned repeatedly.

With each new reinforcement, their spirit burned brighter. All earlier despair vanished, replaced by unprecedented morale.

Yes! They had Prince Lucci of the gods, mighty mutant legions, the technological kingdom of Wakanda, and now Amazons from Paradise Island!

In this moment, everyone brimmed with confidence. There was nothing to fear from Thanos!

"Roar!" Hulk hammered his chest, bellowing at Thanos's troops above. The echo rattled the ground.

"Prince Lucci, your orders please!"

Quicksilver transformed into a streak of silver lightning, arriving beside Lucci, eyes filled with excitement.

"Let me go test whether those alien bastards can react in time!"

"Prince Lucci, allow us to fight!" T'Challa stepped forward, battle spirit boiling.

Calls for action surged; all were eager to dive into the Chitauri's ranks.

But before the excited crowd, Lucci merely waved his hand, his calm face unmoved.

Why so eager?

His voice wasn't particularly loud, but it reached all ears, instantly quelling the noise.

Everyone looked at him, confused. The enemy was at their gates; did he mean to wait for a charge before fighting?

Lucci's lips curled in a faint smile as he surveyed the endless enemy ranks. "There's a saying — strike the iron while it's hot; the second strike is weaker, the third even weaker."

"Right now, the enemy is surging like a raging torrent. If we confront them head-on, we'll suffer unnecessary losses even if we win."

He paused, meeting the crowd's puzzled looks. "So before you all charge in, we must first strike a heavy blow to shatter their morale."

A direct blow? But how?

Even Professor X and Magneto were stunned — how could Lucci possibly 'crush' the tightly packed foe before them?

With all eyes on him, Lucci raised his hand.

Then, he snapped his fingers.

Snap.

In the din, the sound seemed insignificant, yet it rippled out like a silent command.

Next instant!

On the flank of Thanos's vast army, space twisted and tore — a colossal spatial gate exploded open!

On the other side was no planet, no other dimension — but a pitch-black, deep, and infinite ocean, filled with crushing water pressure!

Through the portal, everyone could glimpse massive sea creatures and the suffocating darkness within.

Before the Thanos army could react, the portal became a cosmic faucet, unleashing a terrifying, unstoppable avalanche of whitewater straight into the Chitauri ranks.

It was not a battle. It was a natural disaster!

Tens of thousands of Thanos's soldiers, for all their might, were like fragile toys before the power of nature. They were sucked away, drowned, and torn apart without even a chance to scream.

The largest biomechanical monsters, before these monstrous waves, were like boats on a roiling sea, battered and colliding, their armors crushed bit by bit.

Within the portal, Aquaman Arthur appeared, wielding the golden Neptune Trident like the god of the seas, riding the enormous flood!

Beside him, Mera directed water with both hands, channeling the force toward the densest clusters of enemies!

On the ground, all present, including the newly arrived Wakanda and Amazon warriors, stared up in utter stupefaction. In mere moments, at least tens of thousands of Thanos's vanguard troops were annihilated.

And it didn't end there.

As seawater flushed the enemy aside, Lucci casually snapped his fingers again.

Snap.

Downriver, another huge spatial portal quietly opened, this time like a bottomless black hole, sucking with monstrous force.

The tsunamic wave, together with the battered remnants of Thanos's army and bio-weapons, was swallowed and vanished without a trace.

It took less than a dozen seconds. The entire front was once again clear and pristine. All evidence of the catastrophic destruction by flood, and the hundreds of thousands of enemy troops, was wiped from the battlefield as if they'd never existed.

The field fell into dead silence.

At the same time, deep within the ocean—

At a depth of tens of thousands of meters, where light did not reach, and life could not thrive, the water pressure could flatten steel in an instant. But now, in this eternal darkness, a massive portal snapped open and tens of thousands of Thanos's soldiers were dumped inside.

Against the water gods, cosmic invaders — deadly on land and in sky — were helpless within the ocean's bounds. The horrendous pressure crushed their insides and bones in an instant. Their machines, already disabled by the flood, were dead in the water.

As chaos and death took hold, countless blue-glowing figures, ghostly and silent, emerged from deeper darkness — the Atlantean Grand Isles.

Riding marine beasts like sharks and dolphins, wielding tridents that could slice steel, these warriors descended like deep-sea wraiths, slaughtering the invaders swiftly and relentlessly.

Energy beams flashed in the dark water, tridents pierced Chitauri bodies. There was no contest — just utter suppression and one-sided extermination.
