Magus Supremacy

Chapter 946: Real Fun Begins

Chapter 946: Real Fun Begins

Chapter 946

The massive chain was hurtling towards the group with lethal velocity.

Sensing the impending impact, Dante acted instinctively, slamming his palms onto the dirt with a grunt of exertion.

Rumble—! Rumble—! Rumble—!

The ground quivered violently under the sudden surge of mana, and in a heartbeat, a colossal earth wall erupted from the soil.

It stood firm just as the jagged tip of the chain collided with the stone surface.

Tremble—! Booom—!

The entire structure shuddered, cracks spider-webbing across its face in an instant.

Dante’s eyes widened in genuine shock at the raw power behind the throw.

He realized immediately that his defense wouldn’t hold for long against such overwhelming force.

"What are you all waiting for?!" he roared, his voice straining against the groaning of the rock.

Without a second of hesitation, the group dove in opposite directions to escape the kill zone.

Kael, true to his nature, simply sank into the darkness of his own shadow, vanishing from the physical plane.

BOOOOM—!

The earth wall finally surrendered, collapsing like a tower of cards and raining heavy debris onto the field.

Dante had already vaulted away, narrowly clearing the area as the heavy metal links plowed into the earth where they had just been standing.

A deep, jagged trench gouged the ground, steaming from the friction of the strike.

The cracked-toothed General stood a distance away, smirking as if he were merely watching an entertaining performance.

With a sharp tug of his arm, he yanked the enormous chain back.

It flew through the air, curling and twisting above his head like a metallic serpent ready to strike again.

"Ah, curses! What a total bastard," Lyra spat, rolling to a stop and pushing herself up with a venomous glare directed at the commander.

Viktor and Sol landed together on the flank, leaping to their feet with practiced grace.

Sol’s eyes flickered across the battlefield, her mind working at a feverish pace as a complex strategy began to take form.

Right between them, Kael rose out of the shadows like a silent phantom.

His cold gaze remained fixed on the three Generals leading the host.

"Let’s go," he ordered calmly, taking a deliberate step forward.

Viktor and Sol fell in behind him without a word.

However, before they could gain any momentum, their heads snapped upward.

A dense volley of wind arrows was descending rapidly on their position, whistling as they cut through the atmosphere.

Before the trio could even deploy their own defenses, a swirling torrent of water coiled around them.

"Water magic; Sea Dragon Cradle!" Charlotte chanted, her hands thrust forward in a protective gesture.

A massive, shimmering bubble of water encased the three mages.

BOOOOM—!

The wind blades slammed into the aquatic shield with tremendous force, the impact vibrating through the liquid and shaking the earth beneath the construct.

Kael cast a brief, acknowledging glance back at Charlotte and gave her a sharp nod.

Taking the signal, she hauled her hands forward, launching the entire water bubble toward the enemy line at blazing speed.

This maneuver closed the gap between them and the Generals in mere seconds.

Inside the protective sphere, the trio braced themselves for the coming collision.

"It would have been honestly better if I wasn’t trapped in here with you two," Sol grumbled dejectedly, her hands still empty as she waited for her moment.

"Haaa!" Charlotte shouted, yanking her arms apart.

The bubble disintegrated instantly, unleashing the trio into the air directly above the Generals.

Lightning crackled fiercely around Kael’s frame as he descended like a god of storms.

Viktor and Sol showed no visible elemental manifestation yet, but their postures were lethal—prepared for the inevitable clash.

The three Generals looked on with a calm, predatory intensity as the mages approached.

CRACKLE—!

Above them, the sky seemed to mirror the tension; rumblings rolled through the clouds that had been clear only moments ago.

CRASH—!

The area detonated in a massive explosion upon their landing, a shockwave that rattled the earth for meters in every direction.

A thick blanket of dust surged upward, completely obscuring the landing zone.

Whooosh—!

Three horses were blown backward by the force of the impact, skidding across the dirt.

Atop the beasts, the three commanders remained upright—not seated, but standing tall on the saddles with fury simmering in their eyes.

Swoosh—!

From the heart of the dust cloud, Kael, Viktor, and Sol launched themselves forward with feline grace.

They were seconds away from closing the distance when the ground began to rumble once more.

Erupting from the soil, jagged crystalline spikes burst forth like the stems of a frozen tree.

Each glinting shard was aimed at impaling the attackers, but the trio was too quick.

Leaping repeatedly from side to side, they danced through the minefield of spikes, closing in on the men who dared to challenge the Lunaria elite.

The bald-headed General maintained a deep frown on his face, his annoyance palpable.

With a sharp snap of his fingers, a massive crystalline spike—thick as an ancient tree trunk—burst forth from the soil with blazing speed, aimed directly at the trio.

Viktor applied sudden pressure to his feet, lunging forward with a burst of momentum that carried him past Kael and Sol.

His eyes gleamed with a dangerous, predatory light.

"Graviole."

The atmospheric pressure surrounding the crystal spike intensified instantly, becoming so dense and heavy that the projectile’s velocity was significantly throttled.

Viktor kept his hand thrust outward, glaring at the crystalline mass as he continued to amplify the gravitational force acting upon it.

Soon enough, audible groans echoed through the air as deep cracks began to spider-web across the spike’s surface.

Gnashing his teeth repeatedly while sensing his allies closing in on his position, he swung his hand downward in a violent arc.

The massive wave of concentrated gravity slammed the crystal into the earth with a resounding crack, followed by the jagged splintering of the entire spike.

BANG—!

Kael blurred forward, reaching the three Generals in the blink of an eye.

A crackling sphere of lightning coalesced around his hands, which he hurled at the commanders without so much as slowing his frantic pace.

The bald-headed General glanced at his compatriots for a brief moment, unbothered.

Without delay, the ground rumbled with a low, tectonic groan.

Bursting from the earth, a massive crystal wall—curved to shield the three of them from all directions—stood gallantly in place.

BOOOM—!

The lightning sphere smashed into the translucent barrier with devastating force, causing the entire structure to quiver for a second as chunks of crystal were sheared off by the electrical discharge.

However, despite the intensity of the strike, the fortification held perfectly.

Sol was dancing across the plain, her movements fluid and rhythmic even as she barely shifted from her original spot.

"Graviole!" she echoed, her voice carrying a weight of its own.

The wall trembled under the renewed force as the gravitational pressure deepened the existing fissures across its surface.

But before the barrier could utterly give way, the bald General intentionally crumbled the entire construct.

In the process, he manipulated the debris, sending multiple sharp, elongated crystalline shards exploding outwardly with lethal velocity.

Unhesitatingly, a shadow portal yawned open in front of the incoming spikes, swallowing the projectiles whole before they could even graze the mages.

Not a single scratch appeared on the trio’s bodies.

The three Generals remained perched upon their steeds, amused looks dancing across their faces as if they were merely observing a spar.

Kael, Viktor, and now Sol stood side by side, their breathing steady as they faced the commanders.

"Nice warmup. Now the real fun begins," the cracked-toothed General cackled.

Immediately following his boast, multiple enormous chains burst from his position, lashing out with lightning speed to ensnare the Lunaria elite.
