Magus Supremacy

Chapter 1052: No Hesitation

Chapter 1052: No Hesitation

Chapter 1052

The dust slowly settled and the group slowly walked over to check on Z7 and there he was, laying in his own pool of blood.

A deep hole in his chest and abdomen that he wouldn’t be able to survive from definitely.

He was there... unmoving and bleeding.

Eyes closed as the group huddled over him.

"Is that it? He’s gone?" Sol asked with a frown on her face as she stared at the dead body.

"Yup. There’s no way he’s actually surviving that." Gunther uttered with a stoic look on his face as he even went as far as kicking the man’s leg to see if he would move but aside from the recoil of being kicked, he didn’t as much as twitch.

"Ah... what a relief." Sol breathed out as she placed her hand on her chest while crouching down with her hands on her knees with a satisfied smile on her face.

"Can’t believe it, we took down a Zodiac." Charlotte commented with a proud look on her face while looking at the unmoving body.

"Understandable since you have me as an ally." Viktor replied with a smug smile on his face as he looked at the body.

"Just so you know, even you wouldn’t have fared better in the fight all alone so don’t be smug. We all contributed equally. If we had been fighting alone, none of us would have been strong to take down a Zodiac." Sol remarked as she glared at the smug Viktor.

" Whatever." Viktor scoffed as he threw his face away to observe the larger battlefield.

"But how did he get injured on his abdomen? I couldn’t see properly." Gunther questioned as he stared at the precise wound in the Zodiac’s midsection.

Sol raised a hand like she was in class.

"All thanks to me and my magic. Before this whole battlefield, while the others were training their asses off, I went from city to city; town to town planting traps in every corner of the Kingdom.

Took months but it was very much worth it as we hadn’t known the exact location the Otherworlders would appear from otherwise, I would have rigged that spot more than the others."

Gunther rubbed his chin.

"So one of those rigged place is here?"

Sol nodded proudly.

"Town Kiten. I had an inkling that something might go down here considering that today is Grey’s birthday and it was the date chosen for the attack. Who knows, his hometown could be the location so I concentrated my runes and traps here better than the other places I visited.

One of those runes activated while his guard was let down and then a wind sword rushed out dealing that damage to him."

Gunther listened attentively like he was in class but something stuck out to him more than anything.

"Wait. Today is Grey’s birthday?!"

Sol lifted a brow.

"Huh?"

Then her brows furrowed instantly as she glared at the warrior.

"So in all I said; it’s that you managed to pick up?! The hell?! Are warriors this dumb?!"

’Sol is dangerous with enough prep time. If it wasn’t for the stomach injury she dealt him, ye wouldn’t have been weakened enough for us to finish him off. She’s a terrible enemy to have if she’s well prepared.

Considering the fact that no one knows what would come out of those runes when they activates.’ Viktor mused inwardly while looking at the duo bickering like kids.

"I think we should split up and go help the others still fighting. Or we join the larger battlefield. Come on, our task isn’t over ye—" Charlotte trailed off as her eyes scanned the battlefield and then her gaze sharpened in dread.

" Uh... where’s Grey and his father?"

The others lifted a brow and quickly turned their heads searching for the Supreme Magus and the leader of the Otherworlders.

Only Gunther looked somewhat calmer.

"I guess they have picked a location for their own fight."

Hearing that, the other’s looked visibly worried.

"I-I-I wonder if Grey can win." Charlotte muttered.

....

The other Zodiac fight that had ended was Grey’s main friends versus Zodiac ten who was Vince.

The zodiac lay on the ground. The effect of the paralysing lightning faded but he couldn’t move because Greg was pointing a lightning sword directly at his neck.

And even Raze and Scarlet had him surrounded.

Even if he tried to push Greg away, the other two could overpower him before he tried anything funny hence he just lay there while looking between Scarlet and Greg.

"Come on then, do it already. What’s with the holdup?"

Greg clenched his teeth and pressed the lightning sword forward causing it to sear Vince’s neck drawing a trickle of blood.

The boy didn’t wince nor fret. Instead, a smile curved his lips.

"Or is it because you still care about me?"

Scarlet sighed.

"I still find it hard to believe that you have turned against us though. Something is up here but I can’t put my hands around it."

Vince lifted a brow.

"Oh!?" He smirked and then,

Whoosh! Whooosh! Whooosh!

Metal spikes burst out from nowhere stabbing through the legs of the trio surrounding him making them fall to their knees almost simultaneously.

"When you get the chance, you take your enemy out. No hesitation. No delay. Just pure will. Fools." Vince grinned as he bolted forward.

The next second, he reached out grabbing Scarlet by the neck and kicking forward before smashing her into the earth with all his might throwing up a huge mound of dust that obscured them from view while Greg and Raze were still on their knees.

Too slow to react due to the sudden injury that seemed like it pierced their veins paralysising them for a second.

"SCARLET!" Vanica shouted in horror from the sidelines as the Zodiac and Scarlet vanished in the cloud of dust.
