Loving Madeline

Chapter 350: I Love Where I am

Chapter 350: I Love Where I am

Charlotte’s POV

I kept smiling the entire day, and I couldn’t stop feeling so happy. Finally, I had a boyfriend, and this was the first time that I experienced this kind of feeling. And I could feel that my chest was going to burst with happiness.

Jack and I shared secret kisses in the hallways when no one was around. I couldn’t stop giggling every time he would grab me by the waist and slump me into the wall, then blow my mind with his hot kisses.

Jack and I were happy, and I couldn’t believe that this was happening. I couldn’t stop thinking about my brother, and I felt so grateful to him for this opportunity that he had given me. If he didn’t teach me this lesson, I know I’m not going to find the love of my life.

It must be destiny that brought us together, and I couldn’t stop remembering the first day Jack showed up at the Manor. I was so angry with him since I thought he came to avenge Madeline. I admit I was jealous of my sister-in-law, but I know I shouldn’t be because she was so in love with my brother.

I knew from the first time I saw Madeline that she was suitable for Hunter, but because of my best friend, I tried to ruin what they had. I am just glad that their love for each other remained steadfast, even with the test that they had been through because of Kaye, and I was her accomplice.

I knew their love for each other continued to grow, and I wish one day we could be together once again as one family and they will finally forgive and accept me for what I have done to Madaline.

Jen and her friends extended their stay, and even if I felt jealous of her, I didn’t let my jealousy get in the way. I had to be professional and deal with her even if I knew she was crazy about my boyfriend.

"How long are you dating Jack, Charlotte?" Jen asked, and I couldn’t believe she would ask me that question. I smile at her and tell her that we’ve been dating for so long.

I hated that I had to lie to her, but I couldn’t stand her for flirting with Jack every chance she got. I wanted to put her in her place, but it seemed like she was determined to win my hot chef. But I will never give her the chance to be with Jack because he is only mine.

I will make sure that we will be together until the end. Every time I imagine our life together, it makes my stomach flutter, and I can’t stop thinking about the hot kisses I shared with him.

"Oh really?" Jen responded, and I snapped back to the presence as I turned my attention to her.

"But you are not married." She added, and my face turned red with anger, but I had to control myself since she was our guest. I fell silent.

"See, don’t get mad at me, but I have to be honest with you. I really like Jack, and I will do everything I can to win his heart. And you should be aware that I always get what I want." Jen continued without hesitation, and I couldn’t believe she was planning to steal my boyfriend from me.

"Well, you better stop what you were planning because my boyfriend is so in love with me, Jen. Do whatever you want, but he’s not that kind of guy. Just a piece of advice as a woman, you better know your place." I responded, and she looked At me with anger on her face.

"Even if you are a daughter of some businessman, you can’t always have what you want. There will be times that you will lose Jen, and I am sure this is one of those moments." I added.

"You better accept the reality that Jack is mine, and we are in love with each other, and there is nothing you can do to make Jack leave me." I continued as her mouth hung open.

"We build this business together, and I hope you will respect our relationship. Stop flirting with my boyfriend because you will only have a broken heart." I said without allowing her to cut me off. I am too pissed to stop, and I no longer care if Jen was our guest.

"It is not good for your image. Besides, you are young and beautiful. You can have someone you are more handsome. and hot than Jack." I added.

"I had been a spoiled brat like you," I stated, and her eyes turned so big like saucers as she glared at me.

"How dare you call me a spoiled brat? I don’t care if you are a Divenson. You have no right to call me. That way, Charlotte." She hissed with anger all over her face.

"OK, I’m sorry for calling you that way, but that is what you are. You have no right to flirt with my boyfriend, especially since you know we are in a relationship." I responded without backing down.

"To be honest, I don’t want you to continue your stay here, but since you are my guest, and I am a professional, I’m letting you stay, but if I have it my way, I want you to leave because I don’t like you at all even if you have all the money," I added.

"Believe me, there will come a time when you realize it is not all about the money. You need to grow up and learn how to spend your dad’s money wisely because when the time comes when you have nothing, you will realize and regret everything that you have done in your life." I continued, and her face softened as she stared at me.

"You will lament about the time and money you wasted. In the end, what matters is the love of our family." I said, trying my best to keep my tears at bay.

"Are you OK? Is your relationship with your parents or the rest of your family OK?" She asked with concern, and I almost laughed. I couldn’t believe she would sound so mature in an instant. Her anger was gone as she looked at me, waiting for my response, and I shook my head.

"No, I made the biggest mistake in my life, but I am trying to do my best to win back their trust in me, and I am hoping that one day they will accept me again. I was like you once, and I don’t want you to have regrets later." I replied.

"It will be too late, and you will realize you don’t even have real friends. Once you don’t have money, they will be all gone. They are only after the fun, but when you need them the most, they will leave you."’ I added.

"I am sorry, Charlotte. I didn’t mean to hurt you. I know I was crazy about Jack. Honestly, last night, he told me he was in love with you, and I said to him that I would do everything I could to ruin your relationship with him, and he only laughed at me.

"And now that I know what you were going through, I understand, and I felt guilty for flirting with him. I was rude, and I was used to getting what I wanted. I am glad that we met. You are the only person who dares to tell me those things." She added.

"Don’t worry, I will never bother you and Jack anymore. I want to stay here two more weeks because I love Barcelonia, and I love the manor so much. The service is excellent, especially the food." Jen stated as she smiled at me.

"I am sure I will be coming back and don’t forget to invite me to your wedding. I will go home and tell my dad I am ready to take over the company." She added.

"I will start to be responsible, and I am sure he will be happy. I know I had been a pain to my family since, like what you said, I am a spoiled brat." She continued and laughed. Jen and I had a good talk.

When the night came, I asked Jen and her friends to join us for dinner with Cecily.

We had a great conversation, and when they left the manor, I couldn’t deny I missed her presence because we became closer after that confrontation.

We had been busy with our business, but we already hired additional personnel since I knew Jack couldn’t handle it since our company was growing. We could no longer accommodate them if we didn’t hire additional staff.

"What do you mean vacation?" I asked as my eyes widened.

"I want to be alone with you, and I think this coming weekend is a good chance for us to have this vacation since we can trust Cecily to run the business even if we are away," Jack answered.

"Besides, the new cook that I hired is responsible. I know he can handle the food." He added, and I couldn’t help but smile sweetly at him.

"Where are we going?" I asked, and I couldn’t stop feeling so excited.

"It is a secret." He replied with amusement on his handsome face.

"I don’t like secrets. I want to know where you’re going to take me." I said as I pouted my lips.

"I promise you you, love, you will enjoy the place. I have been planning this, and I couldn’t wait to go there with you." He added, and his endearment made my face flushed.

"Just for the weekend?" I asked.

"Maybe we can stay for five days." He answered.

"We can’t do that, Jack," I responded, and he took my hand.

"You have been very busy for the past months, and I want you to relax and have fun with me if you want." He stated.

"Of course, I want to be with you. I want to enjoy every moment with you, but we can’t leave the manor." I responded.

"You own this place, Charlotte, and you can leave whenever you want." He replied.

"You better go, Charlotte," Cecily said, and I didn’t notice she came inside the kitchen and listened to our conversation.

"I promise you nothing will happen here, and I can care for everything." My friend added, and I smiled at her.

"Thank you so much, Cel; I know we can always trust you," I said as I beamed.

I got excited for the weekend, and when it was time for us to go, I couldn’t stop giggling. I said goodbye to Cecily before we got inside the airport terminal, and as we boarded the plane, I couldn’t stop my heart from beating so loud as Jack took my hand, and I no longer cared if we were riding a commercial flight. I love where I am and am so happy with my life.
