Chapter 730: Chapter 727: Watching the Meteor Shower With You

Seeing Shi Keke, Shi Mei frowned.

"Why are you here?" His tone was clearly displeased.

"Sister-in-law," Shi Keke greeted Shen Cheng first, before smiling and responding to him, "Just passing by, is that a problem?"

Glaring at her sideways, Shi Mei narrowed his dangerous eyes, "Why is a girl wandering around at night dressed so casually?"

Shi Keke looked down at her clothes.

Was she dressed casually?

Looking up at Shi Mei, she laughed nonchalantly, "What era are we in now? Should I stay inside like ancient times, never to show my face, neck, or legs in public? Brother, you’re behind the times."

Shi Mei: "..."

He said one sentence, and she always had a thousand words to retort.

But Shi Keke had no intention of stopping, she continued: "Besides, my clothes are already conservative. Unlike other women, wearing off-shoulder outfits, belly shirts, butt skirts, bikinis... right?"

After finishing, she even asked Shen Cheng with a smile, "Sister-in-law, don’t you think so?"

Shen Cheng just smiled silently. Watching the siblings’ rivalry, she realized she could look at it from a different angle.

Shi Mei should be aware that Shi Keke is adopted, right?

Between men and women, there is only a thin veil, and some things could break through it.

Because Shi Keke arrived just in time, she naturally joined the group to watch the meteor shower.

Although Shi Mei was slightly displeased, he did not send her away.

On the car ride to West Mountain, he remained silent throughout, looking straight ahead, focusing intently on driving.

The half-hour drive ended on an open grassy area of West Mountain. The field was vast, endless, and a thousand meters ahead there was a cliff, but protective measures around it ensured there were no safety hazards.

Standing on the grass, you could see the entire night view of Du City, whether it be skyscrapers or the twinkling red lights, they were all in sight.

Glancing upward, it seemed like the whole night sky was within reach; the stars and the moon appearing as if you could touch them.

Getting out of the car, Shi Keke greeted Shi Mei and Shen Cheng, then went off on her own to take pictures of the night scenery.

"How is it?"

Shi Mei walked beside Shen Cheng, one hand in his pocket, a smile at the corner of his mouth, the soft moonlight casting distinct contours on his handsome face.

After observing the surroundings, Shen Cheng curled her lips slightly, "Not bad."

She found a place to sit down, while Shi Mei stood beside her. He took out a cigarette to smoke but then appeared to have second thoughts and put it back in the pack.

Noticing his actions, Shen Cheng asked him, "Why aren’t you smoking?"

Shi Mei chuckled softly, "It ruins the mood."

After saying that, he looked at his watch and said with a lifted lip, "One more minute."

He meant that smoking would ruin the beauty of the night.

Shen Cheng smiled and said nothing.

Seeing Shi Keke taking photographs not far away, she called out to remind her that the meteor shower was about to start.

The moment her words fell, a meteor streaked across the sky at high speed, its fleeting flash casting a remarkably strange glow, illuminating the entire night sky.

Shen Cheng instinctively pressed her hands together and closed her eyes.

When she opened her eyes again, the meteor had flashed by, disappearing into the black night, leaving behind a perfect trace in the sky.

The trace slowly faded, dissipated, and the sky returned to its tranquility.
