After leaving the cinema, Qin Shaobai came to pick up Qi Jingren, saying he wanted to take her to have a barbecue, and asked Shi Aoju if he wanted to join. Shi Aoju refused with the excuse, "I don’t eat junk food."

But Su Jiuyi was craving badly; back when she was working at Ciaos, she often went to eat street food with Qi Jingren. Sometimes they would even drink a can or two of beer; although Su Jiuyi wasn’t great with alcohol and might get drunk, she would let loose with Qi Jingren, because every time she did get drunk, Qi Jingren would figure out a way to get her home.

She silently followed behind Shi Aoju, staring at her toes. Absorbed in thought, she didn’t notice that Shi Aoju had stopped in front of her, and walked straight into him without looking.

Shi Aoju was a head taller than Su Jiuyi, so her forehead happened to bump into his shoulder.

The collision brought Su Jiuyi back to reality. She rubbed her forehead and apologized, "Sorry, Young Master Jue, I just..."

"What do you want to eat?" Shi Aoju interrupted her directly.

Su Jiuyi was taken aback for a moment, then answered, "Anything’s fine."

Shi Aoju hummed in response, grasped the door handle to open the car door, and then turned his head to look at Su Jiuyi behind him, gesturing for her to get in.

Understanding his cue, Su Jiuyi bent down and got into the car. Worried that Shi Aoju would buckle her seatbelt for her again, she immediately reached for it to fasten it herself, but she was still a step too slow.

Shi Aoju leaned over, fastening the seatbelt for her as he said, "I’ll handle this in the future."

Su Jiuyi knew he was referring to the seatbelt, but she still found it hard to adapt. He had only started doing it since they left the amusement park earlier, which was when they had confirmed their relationship.

He was indeed a man of principle; before this, he had never done anything similar, which meant that perhaps subconsciously, he believed that a man buckling a woman’s seatbelt involved a premise of being together.

The warm breath on Su Jiuyi’s face made her feel a bit dazed, suddenly feeling like she was dreaming, it didn’t seem real. The beginning between them was ludicrous and laughable.

She originally thought that after that time, there would be no further entanglement. Unexpectedly, they got involved due to some matters, and step by step, came closer and got lost in each other’s world.

"Thank you, Young Master Jue." Su Jiuyi suddenly lifted her head to look at him. As their eyes met — those chilly eyes — she smiled, "Thank you for giving me a sense of security, for making me feel less alone."

For a moment, Shi Aoju’s gaze softened. He raised his hand to ruffle her hair, remained silent for a long time, and then said, "Where I am is your home."

Su Jiuyi bit her lip and nodded, her eyes suddenly brimmed with tears, as if a surge of warmth was about to overflow.
