With the candles lit, initially pitch-black surroundings gradually filled with light, the initially dim room began to brighten.

Yet, although the candle flame was white, the surface covered with blue roses dyed the light blue, flickering upon Qi Jingren, adding an air of mystery.

Qin Shaobai stood opposite her, hands resting on the table, watching her. A thin smile graced his lips, his well-defined handsome face similarly enhanced by the soft blue glow.
