Love You for the Rest of My Life

Chapter 987: Honey, have I been good?

Chapter 987: Honey, have I been good?

Isn’t the attitude quite clear?

Deliberate ignorance equates to contempt.

But she didn’t care, for her, whatever these irrelevant people did or said, she wouldn’t be bothered.

After all, they were never going to cross paths much, so there was no need to care.

Di Mingzhe and Di Xiaxia left the Golden Palace. Di Xiaxia initially drove, but Di Mingzhe seemed slightly drunk and suggested that Di Xiaxia shouldn’t drive.

They had someone else drive back, and she joined him in his private car.

His private car was also safer, with an armed security driver and another accompanying in the passenger seat.

The windows were bulletproof, and the safety features were much better.

He wasn’t afraid of accidents, but his head felt dizzy, as though he truly was drunk.

That’s why he wanted to sit with Di Xiaxia and didn’t want to be apart.

He was never good with alcohol and hardly ever drank. Just now, he genuinely had drunk quite a bit.

Of course, Di Xiaxia wouldn’t say anything. Seeing his slightly flushed cheeks and drunken eyes, she could guess that he was indeed drunk.

Look, before even getting into the car, he leaned on her as if he had run out of strength.

Di Xiaxia found it amusing yet frustrating; he was really heavy.

Though not fat, his tall frame pressing down like this was significant.

"I told you to drink less, but you kept going, not turning down a single drink," she teased.

As Di Xiaxia complained, it took her and the security guard’s combined efforts to get him into the car.

"I’m happy," said Di Mingzhe as soon as he got into the car, hugging her tightly, clinging to her like a koala.

He had a smile on his face and kept rubbing his face and neck against her.

Di Xiaxia felt she must be drunk too; he definitely had too much to drink.

The ordinarily cold and detached man was now holding her and acting spoiled.

Di Xiaxia touched his face affectionately and said earnestly, "Even if you’re happy, you shouldn’t drink so much. A toast is enough as a gesture; who made you drink a whole glass at once?"

Di Xiaxia almost laughed at this, wondering how Di Mingzhe, usually so calm and steady, could be so straightforward when drinking.

He would drink whenever he was toasted, and drink he did, downing a whole glass at once—both exasperating and amusing.

At that moment, his drunken appearance was somewhat adorable, exceptionally docile, like a child burrowing into her arms.

Unable to help herself, Di Xiaxia chuckled, patting his head gently, "Big brother, close your eyes and rest for a while."

But Di Mingzhe lifted his head, smiled at her, showing off his white, attractive teeth, and asked with a radiant face, "Wife, am I being good?"

Di Xiaxia was startled. Damn, he must be drunk to ask such a question, totally out of character!

"Oh, stop it," Di Xiaxia said, unable to resist.

"I’m not kidding. Just tell me, am I being good or not?" Di Mingzhe was insistent.

In an instant, Di Xiaxia felt overwhelmed by his drunken antics, which appeared all of a sudden and all too quickly.

"Good, very good, extremely good!" Di Xiaxia quickly replied with a smile, her bright eyes gleaming with cunning, her gorgeous red lips tempting.

Seeing this made Di Mingzhe’s heart beat wildly; he blinked, his good looks making his face flush, then with a slightly confused charm, he asked, "Really?"

"Really!" Di Xiaxia cradled his face and nodded earnestly, "You’re exceptionally good."
