Chapter 826: What to do if you miss the best treatment period?

"Mhm," Gu Qibao nodded, devoid of further words, her pretty, cute face growing pale.

She closed her eyes wearily, thinking back to everything from last night to today, the more she thought, the more bewildering she found it all to be!

Last night, when she went home with Di Mingjue, they first got excited about the Rubik’s Cube, then she didn’t feel like eating and was taken by Di Mingjue to the hospital for some appetizing concoction.

Afterwards, they talked more about the Rubik’s Cube, but then he shamelessly insisted on being intimate with her.

She really didn’t want to; that’s why she rejected him.

In the morning, he started to act all sorts of crazy.

Could it be because she had declined his advances, so he started throwing a fit?

"Xiaoqi, let’s go," Nangong Ran spoke softly.

Gu Qibao looked out the car window, silent for a few seconds, then suddenly said to Nangong Ran, "Ranran, I’m really scared."

"Don’t be scared," Nangong Ran quickly comforted her, raising his hand to assure her, "You really shouldn’t be overanxious. It’s just a doctor’s visit. I’ll tell you, when you’re about to get your period, you get irritable and emotionally unstable—cold symptoms, too. It’s not so easy to catch a serious disease, you’re really overthinking it. Besides, no matter what happens, you still have the Duke."

At the mention of Di Mingjue, Gu Qibao felt a sudden surge of emotion.

After getting out of the car, she took out her phone, wanting to call Di Mingjue, but then she thought he would probably scold her, or maybe he wouldn’t answer her call at all.

After pondering, Gu Qibao still gathered the courage to send Di Mingjue a message.

Di Mingjue’s profile picture was dim, as if he were not around.

In the end, she put away her phone and, together with Nangong Ran, headed for the elevator.

Nangong Ran held her hand all the way, continuously trying to reassure her, "Gu Qibao, there’s nothing to fear. I promise it’s just a minor ailment, let’s call it the ’Aunt Flo Syndrome’!"

With his repeated consolation, Gu Qibao felt slightly more at ease, but she remained quite scared.

It was her body that was sick; no one else could substitute for that. What if something serious did happen, what would Di Mingjue do?

Lost in her wild thoughts, Nangong Ran came over, flaunting the registration form and said, "Let’s go, I’ve got us a specialist appointment."

Upon hearing this, Gu Qibao’s legs went weak, and she instinctively turned to decline, "Maybe we shouldn’t, I’ll just go back and take some medicine!"

No sooner had she spoken than she attempted to leave, only to be pulled back by Nangong Ran. With earnest concern, he said, "Gu Xiaoqi, if there’s a real problem, you must seek treatment, or what if you miss the best time to cure it?"
