Chapter 686 - 687 Marching Side by Side
Di Xiaxia clutched her phone tightly, her heart brimming with emotion. She really didn’t expect Di Mingzhe would send her a message.
Someone who only ever writes comments like, "hmm, I see", "ok", now sending her messages so cringe-worthy.
This was quite a surprise, but more so, it filled her with satisfaction, warmth, and an intense feeling of happiness.
Having someone deeply care about you feels so good that she just wanted to immerse herself in this feeling.
At seven in the evening when it was time for dinner, before Di Xiaxia could even sit down, Di Mingzhe arrived.
Upon seeing Di Mingzhe, Fang Hao became ecstatic and hurriedly called out, "Mingzhe, stay for dinner."
"No need." Di Mingzhe straightened his tie, his expression calm and composed, "Xiaxia and I have some matters to attend to, we won’t be eating tonight."
Upon hearing this, Fang Hao clapped her hands with joy, exclaiming, "Great. Go on then, quickly!"
"Yes." Di Mingzhe responded calmly, extending his hand to Di Xiaxia, "Let’s go."
Di Xiaxia stepped forward, placing her hand in Di Mingzhe’s. Smiling at Fang Hao, she said, "Mom, we’re going."
"Go, go. Hurry!" Fang Hao hurriedly waved them off, not forgetting to add one last reminder, "Don’t waste time."
Di Xiaxia blushed, not knowing what to say.
Di Mingzhe, however, nodded seriously, replying, "Understood."
After exchanging greetings with Di Yan and Di Jinxuan, the couple left.
Outside, the dim twilight had settled, Di’s mansion was illuminated by bright neon lights, its beauty intriguing and breathtaking.
Di Mingzhe held Di Xiaxia’s hand, taking a leisurely stroll in the courtyard while their car waited outside, the driver not being summoned to pull up.
A gentle breeze blew, lifting Di Xiaxia’s hair. Her jet-black hair flowed across her fair complexion, a sight so captivating that Di Mingzhe couldn’t tear his eyes away.
"Are you hungry?" He asked softly, smoothly brushing her hair to the side.
"Not really." Di Xiaxia smiled and shook her head, "I’ve had a lot of snacks with Xuanxuan while watching TV earlier. I’m not very hungry yet."
"All right." Di Mingzhe responded in a low voice, his gaze following every detail of her face.
Di Xiaxia, feeling somewhat embarrassed under his intense regard, shyly looked away.
Di Mingzhe remained silent, seemingly enjoying their hand-in-hand stroll in the courtyard.
Uninterrupted, the two walked side by side in peaceful quietude.
"Sir," greeted their security as they approached the car, respectfully opening the door.
Di Mingzhe, still holding Di Xiaxia’s hand, guided her into the car. Before Di Xiaxia could fully settle, she found herself gently pulled into his embrace.
Caught off guard, she let out a soft gasp.
The very next moment, before she could gather her wits, she was swept into his ardent kiss. An unfettered invasion that disregarded any objection, her lips were pried open as he eagerly tasted her sweetness.
"Mmm..." Di Xiaxia’s mind went blank, left dizzy by the flurry of actions.
But soon his distinct scent filled her senses - a cool, reassuring smell that instantly calmed her.
Di Xiaxia ceased to resist, instead she responded by throwing her arms around his neck.
This response set Di Mingzhe slightly on edge. He suddenly cradled the back of her head, deepening the kiss.
It wasn’t unusual for Di Mingzhe to act with such craving, because his love for her spanned twenty years. Suddenly having her, the ardor, the love, was simply indescribable. His affection could only be demonstrated, never spoken.
