Chapter 674 - 675: The Highest Honor
Chapter 674 - 675: The Highest Honor
"Join Third Brother and me," Di Jinxuan answered. She didn’t want to be with Nangong Jin. With all his touchy-feeliness, it constantly felt weird being with him!
"Sure," said Nangong Jin cooly, an upward curl of his lips, taking a drag of his cigarette.
The seductive smoke ring leisurely billowed out from his lips, drifting across Di Jinxuan’s beautiful little face. She instinctively frowned.
Before she could speak, someone else raised their voice, "Classmate, you can’t smoke here. Please put it out."
The voice came across as rather stern.
Nangong Jin lazily glanced over to see a youthful man in his twenties. From his attire, his bearing, and his overall aura, it was apparent that he was a male dance teacher.
There’s a unique quality about male dancers that makes them easy to distinguish usually, let alone the fact that he was in practice clothes with his teaching tag still on.
Nangong Jin arched his lips, his almond eyes narrowing slightly.
The teacher got a little startled, his face suddenly looking rather uncomfortable.
Nangong Jin didn’t give him a hard time, just gave him a nod and softly apologised, "Sorry."
Just as he finished apologising, he tossed his cigarette butt to the ground and crushed it under his foot.
The teacher immediately looked relieved, feeling unanticipatedly at ease with him. He didn’t expect him to be so noble and not overbearing.
instantly grew fond of him. In haste, he said, "Are you a dance major? Did you bring your documents? If you have them, you can sign up. What dance style have you been learning before?"
On hearing his words, he seemed to spark some interest in Nangong Jin. His lips cocked in a cynical grin, "I study it all," he replied languidly.
The teacher was initially taken aback, then ecstatic. He swiftly began putting in a good word for his own area, "Then you can take a major in our ethnic dance department, we..."
"Not interested," interrupted Nangong Jin, he sounded lazy, yet resolute.
The teacher paused for a moment, feeling disappointed. There weren’t many who chose to major in ethnic dance, let alone male students. At the sight of such a promising young man, he couldn’t help but feel sorry.
Meanwhile, Di Jinxuan had covered her mouth to suppress her giggles. Nangong Jin was just like that; he never spoke seriously.
Besides, how would it feel for a grandmaster-level dancer to be mistakenly considered a beginner and invited to enrol at this school, isn’t it so ridiculously funny?
She was so curious to find out. Ha-ha-ha.
"What’s making you laugh, Little Xuanxuan?" Nangong Jin turned to look at Di Jinxuan, seeing her stifling her laughter, he couldn’t help but ask.
Ignoring him and the teacher who was still feeling sorry, the teacher recommenced persuading him, "Classmate, I believe you have great potential, why don’t you..."
But his words were abruptly interrupted again.
A man in his forties, but who looked much younger due to his good maintenance, quickly ran up, a quaver in his voice as he asked, "Jin Palace... Are you Jin Palace?"
Jin Palace?
Di Jinxuan was taken aback for a moment, suddenly remembering that ’Palace’ was the highest form of address for a dancer, the highest honor.
In the past, dancers were of low status, and their greatest aspiration was to dance in a top-ranked palace. This would be the greatest affirmation and reward for a dancer.
Over time, the word ’Palace’ came to signify a senior dancer.
As a grandmaster, Nangong Jin definitely was deserving of this title.
But then Di Jinxuan suddenly realized... Bloody hell, her name also had ’Jin’ in it!
So, wouldn’t they have the same name if she ever got this honor? God, this was serious. Was she supposed to change her name then?!
On hearing the title, the young teacher went slack-jawed. He stood up reflexively, his face filled with awe and reverence.
The older teacher was on the verge of crying, stuttering, "I never thought I’d meet you in person."
The sight of the older teacher nearly brought Di Jinxuan to laughter, it was incredibly comical. Was Nangong Jin really that awesome?!
Goodness, the teacher was as excited as if he’d just seen his ancestors!
